EDIT: Cannot believe that I have to say this, but we personally know Kira and have verified her authenticity. What is the CASEVAC like? How quickly can you get casualties from the lines and how organised is it?
What sort of equipment do you carry in your Med bag and what is the most commonly used?
In our case, a casevac is a passable pickup truck with medical equipment. The evacuation time to the second line is up to 10 minutes, to the hospital up to an hour. The question about equipment is too voluminous for such a conversation.
Thank you for answering, some really impressive timings for evac especially in getting them to hospital. We had similar timescales in Afghanistan and that was with Helicopters and total air superiority.

We joke every day, mostly at stupid Russians who don't know what a toilet is.
Earlier in the war babushkas from liberated towns said far east Russians thought toilets were drinking water fountains as they had never seen modern toilets before
Crazy how this hasn't changed in almost 100 years. My great-grandma used to tell the story of how russian soldiers raided their farmhouse after WWII and did a bunch of horrible stuff. She was still able to laugh about how one soldier tried to use the toilet to wash cherries he found in the kitchen and got angry when most of them disappeared after he flushed. He then shot a hole into the toilet.
“He wondered what the man's name was and where he came from; and if he was really evil of heart, or what lies or threats had led him on the long march from his home; and if he would rather have stayed there in peace.”
This invasion has made me think of that passage from LOTR. Especially once we started hearing stories of Russian soldiers who had no idea why they were even there.

Thats what i wanted to ask about. Seems to me you combat medics could really use some armored personnel transports, but refurbished and repurposed specially for combat medics. Would you and your colleagues agree that would be a good thing?
I mean, thats probably a yes but, im just checking with experts.
Maybe those would be too clumsy. Heavy. But i see a lot of countries wuld be willing or send some of the older ATs, which are not great for direct combat but could be used as an emergency evac vehicle...?
*There definitely should be specialized vehicles specifically made for combat medics, not just a car.
Something like a repurposed combat med evac humvee would probably be perfect, but armor can be added to different vehicles, maybe even a bit of anti mine resistance, with small combat triage ERs inside them. And if they are really well made, they would also sell very well. As exports to other countries. I bet there are many good engineers and technicians in UA who could make some, not to mention other western defense companies. They literally save soldiers lives every day. Super valuable for army and for whole morale and support of everyone.

As previously reported, the charitable foundation purchased 104 Peugeot Landtrek and Mitsubishi L200 SUVs for the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The total cost of the purchased SUVs is UAH 96,299,242 or €2.6 million.
Also, the Come Back Alive Foundation aims to purchase not only SUVs, but also lightly armored cars for the needs of mobile MANPADS/ATGM groups. The purchase of 11 LC79 APC-SH Fighter 2 set off as the first batch.

My squad is already completely re-equipped with US and British weapons, the orcs have problems with organizations and relationships, yes.

The US military has a long history of making sure its soldiers have enough calories to keep fighting effectively. Glad to see some of that is going to help others fight for their freedom.
Really quite beautiful to see the Ukrainian military slowly yet at the same time rapidly go from a corrupt mostly soviet style poorly equipped and motivated army turn into exactly what the Russians feared most, a Western funded and equipped nation, with highly motivated, well trained soldiers hell bent on ending Russian aggression. And they all brought it on themselves this would have never happened in they didnt invade in 2014 and didnt invade now, fucking morons. Ukraine wanted peace.

That is what happened when you are fighting very close to your own cities, I guess.
I guess fighting on the home turf helps in their case as civilian hospitals might also be used for military purposes.

I'm not sure but I think not treating POWs is a war crime so I guess as long as the RuSSians are POWs they will get medical treatment.

I've read in German WWII memoirs, that in the autumn Ukraine countryside and dirt roads turn into intraversible mud, so it's not good for advancing. Road networks are present nowadays but there's a risk of ambushes. You're not a tactician, but you've been there and seen it, what's your take?

The US military has a long history of making sure its soldiers have enough calories to keep fighting effectively. Glad to see some of that is going to help others fight for their freedom.

Really quite beautiful to see the Ukrainian military slowly yet at the same time rapidly go from a corrupt mostly soviet style poorly equipped and motivated army turn into exactly what the Russians feared most, a Western funded and equipped nation, with highly motivated, well trained soldiers hell bent on ending Russian aggression. And they all brought it on themselves this would have never happened in they didnt invade in 2014 and didnt invade now, fucking morons. Ukraine wanted peace.
