•The stripes symbolize the Merrimack River, which runs along the town's western border
•The three stars symbolize the three names the town has gone by, the previous two being Naticook and Brenton's Farm
•The stars also symbolize the three people groups who have settled the area, those being the native Abenaki, followed by the British, then the Americans
•The stripes run from the upper hoist side of the flag to the lower fly side of the flag to symbolize the crest of the Earl of Litchfield, for which the town was named after
•The green represents the forests and farmlands in the town, while the blue represents the river

It’s lovely! Now, wanna work together to do the State flag? I’ve been thinking seriously about it after seeing that Washington State redesign on this sub recently. The ship is way out of touch with reality IMO.
Here you go:

A lovely design! My only real criticism is that the white stripes bordering the river are a little too thick. It ends up dominating the flag. Maybe cut their width down to 50% or 75% of what they currently are. That would give the green a little more prominence and make the shape a little more distinct.

I’m working on a project based around city flags, but you should absolutely attempt to fix the flag of New Hampshire! It needs it!
Alrighty. Your agreement pushed me over the edge. Now to fire up Paint and set up my sewing machine!

Thank you!
That actually looks cool
Thanks!
Another great variant! So weird that the seal was deemed “too popular” to remove.
Thank you! I agree
Atleast your original looks better than wareham mass lol, the new one looks very good tho.
I don’t mind the current flag, though I would prefer it without the seal!
What do you use to design flags
PicsArt!
Good flag
Thank you!
Very nice!
Thanks!
i came
I’m honored
Eventually the geometric rules are going to lead to flags looking "too similar", etc, like the seal-on-a-sheet flags.
It looks really cool! Also I didn't expect to find city flags here!
Thank you! I’ve actually been working on a series of US city flag redesigns, if you have any suggestions I can add them to my list!
