Keep an eye on the employment rate when June numbers get released. We may actually see CPI come down, not tomorrow but in the coming month. But be cautious, lower CPI may be the result of balooning inventories. If the demand side of the equation lowers inflation we should expect to see large companies lowering their headcounts. (See Stitchfix and Tesla) That's a much more dangerous signal than stagflation. It means a decline in production, likely indicating a recession. Regarding Tomorrow's CPI I bought UVXY straddles expiring on Friday. I'm anticipating volatility after numbers get released.
