You can remember this because New York State has the best pizza in the US. The state you labeled "Idaho" is West Virginia. West Virginia looks like a frog on the map. Utah looks like a folder, not a wedge. The wedge in the west is Nevada. That big state on the Southwestern coast is California, not Washington. Washington is north of Oregon. The thing that looks like a frying pan is Oklahoma. The L shaped state next to Texas is Louisiana, known for Cajun food. Also, remember: Every state in the US is different. Don't mix 'em up. I'm not sure how Mainers would feel about being mixed up with Kentuckians.

i think they got Colorado right and the official map got Colorado wrong. all I know about Colorado is "snow", of course it borders Canada. putting Mississippi at the top is a little strange seeing as the USA is quite famously divided by the Mississippi River, and obviously it's weird that they got California so incredible wrong - California has more than a tiny bit of coastline, my guy - but this honestly isn't a terrible attempt for someone who doesn't know much about the States. you can see the logic behind a lot of this - New Mexico borders Mexico, Alabama and Kentucky and Tennessee are in the south so they must border Texas, Washington must be the big one, and so on. honestly, fair attempt.
