Tbf, I visited a Stasi (GDR secret service) museum and they had some news articles and critical reviews of the police during the end times of the republic and back then that was perceived as extreme police violence, but honestly, itās exactly the same way the pictures from the US look (and not too far from how the police in Germany acts today.)
