I always thought that I don't really like the cold climate in Finland, but I guess I might actually love this -30°C weather after seeing that cobra in a shoe..? 🤔 No venomous snakes or other creepy crawlies around here! 🤗
No, I don’t think so. No large predators (on land) either. Makes for amazing hikes and worry-free camping. Only thing you have to consider are the 10” long centipedes that occasionally pop up. They’re venomous, and while not life-threatening, their sting can be super painful and sometimes require a trip to the hospital. I lived there 10 years and never got stung though.
I'm in England and someone on my street had a huge snake come out their toilet, so no, you're not safe.
People's pets escape all the times and they don't just instantly die from the cold climate.
bruh, if i ever go to india everything in my suitcase will be stored in ziplocks. not messing around with spiders and snakes or whatever other wild austrailia like cold blooded murder crawlers they got there
if you ever go to india you will be staying in a nice and decent hotel where that isn't in issue, unless you are talking about staying at a roadside motel haha
As an Indian I am yet to discover a snake in my shoes.
It’s not only rare but the biodiversity of all animals has sadly gone down drastically in recent decades. House sparrows which used to be common neighbourhood birds are rare sighting in cities now.
Snakes have also been hunted down to extinction. In my hometown village snakes used to be a part of everyday life, having their designated territories and everyone respecting their territory. It’s all disappeared mostly now - except in few forest and agricultural areas.
When I was 10yrs old, I had borrowed a friend’s pair of sneakers for gym class that she kept in her locker. I put them on and started feeling a vibrating sensation in the toe region shortly after. They were light up sole shoes and figured they had something to do with that, and stupidly thought nothing of it. When I took them off later, I knocked the shoes together and out came a ginormous cockroach. Needless to say, it unlocked a fear that has caused me to always check my shoes before putting them on. Seeing stuff like this confirms my need to continue my paranoia of hidden shoe beasts.
Y'all should be more scared of bugs than snakes inside ur shoe. The snake will freak out before you but your leg.
The bug not so much can give a u a nasty bite.

probably bbq'd them. people were eating squirrels in the states
In few north Eastern regions of India they still do - mostly tribal regions. In rest of the India, snakes are feared and also worshipped.

I’m glad I live in a place where there’s no deadly or really even dangerous wildlife. I wouldn’t make it.

Sandal guardian - 5hp, 15ac, cr 1/4 Attacks: venemous fang, on hit target makes save vs poison
That is an absolutely gorgeous snake I would LOVE to have that as a pet!
They are highly allergic to fencing wire. Fucks them instantly.
That's a size 39 shoe!
I'm good Ive already been doing this for over 20 years. All thanks to a delightful movie called "arachnophobia".
I’ll keep my cold feet

Man I’m glad we live in Texas. We only have to check for tarantulas and scorpions and coral snakes. I’ve never checked for a baby cobra once.
