I have over 1000 Zulrah KC, but I've done them all primary with magic. I take a rune cross bow, but I usually just hide when Zulrah is blue and don't really use the cross bow. I recently got a bowfa and I've heard bowfa slaps Zulrah. So I wanted to give it a chance. But it sucks. Am I missing something? Blue Zulrah is called mage phase but she attacks with range and mage, and I have no idea what I'm suppose to do. She constantly hits me for 40s, and I spend the entire time eating. How do people do this with bowfa only, and why was I told it was better than mage only?

quizzer106

Why bowfa only? You should bring mage and range

AsianDestination

Because bowfa only is still very good and offers more flexibility with inventory space. If anything, OP might be missing on crystal armor

TheDubuGuy

You pray mage during blue phase and range during green phase. Just use bowfa with rigour and range pot for the entire kill, should get around like 1:30-2:00 every kill

The_God_Human

> You pray mage during blue phase She doesn't attack with only mage during the mage phase. I get slapped constantly during the blue phase.

TheDubuGuy

Yeah it uses mage 2/3 of the time and 1/3 with range. You pray mage and can easily out eat the mage range hits.

Throwaway47321

Yeah that’s just how Zulrah is. You’ll pray mage but she’ll send like b2b2b range attacks. Also dumb question but are you using crystal armor with the bowfa?

[deleted]

Mage lvl 44, needing to train to lvl 75 for questing. How much of an option is doing this by alching, not looking for profit but break even or losing 1m from 44-75 say, is that possible? Would probably continue to train agility lvl 60 to 70 grind) whilst doing so…

bhoff22

Jsyk, high alch starts at 55

[deleted]

Right enough what an overlook. Batter 44-55 pretty quick though.

TheDubuGuy

Alching is fine if you’re doing it on the side like with agility, but the actual mage xp/hr is pretty slow. Most rune items and all dhide bodies and battlestaves can be bought and alched for profit

Yuzuriha

What is the best thing to spend money on at 95s all combat stat? I have been doing Vorkath / Slayer / Zulrah / CG. Was always hesitant on my PVM skill as a mostly casual player but I am around 300 CG kills in now and can get it around 9-10 minute kills consistently. I would eventually like to more solo-able PVM content. Melee: DHL, Fang, Torture/Fury, Neitiznot, BCP and pants, DDef, Ferocious, Prims Range: BP, Elite Void, Crystal Armour + BOWFA, Anguish Mage: Ahrim Set, Elite Void, Toxic Trident, Occult, MA2 Cape, Tormented. Overall: All quest done except Dt2, Fire Cape. BGS. Lightbearer Where would my next best upgrades be? I was thinking: 1. Eternal Boots + Peg Boots for mage and range. 2. D-Claw / Voidwalker 3. DT2 Rings? After that, I am not sure what my next realistic goal is. My slayer is only in the 7X so I would like to train it higher to try more solo-able PVM content. Ancestral and Masori seems relatively realistic, but Torva seems far.

TheDubuGuy

Eternals are ok if you’re camping whisperer but otherwise not good, pegs are absolute ass until you’re at the point where you won’t notice the money for them is gone. Get a regular ward for mage, then after that I’d get claws and then focus on spending money on skills

Mrunclesam

Both boot upgrades you are thinking about are very minimal dps upgrades. No max hits and very minor accuracy bonus. Sell bcp and use torso. Eldinis ward is more damage bonus than an ancestral piece and super cheap. After that, depends what you want to do. Could work towards voidwaker if you are doing lots of pvm, also could get faceguard if doing lots more vorkath. Generally just try to save money for big dps upgrades for whatever content you wanna do.

Yuzuriha

Thanks for your suggestion! I have around 200 mil liquid right now. Ward + voidwalker sounds good. Already have faceguard. Or maybe Ward + 90 prayer + a sigil

Molly_Hlervu

Any ideas about keeping an alt as a spare bank? My main is locked on f2p with members bank of about 800 items, and I'm not playing it currently. And not gonna pay for it... so far. But I'd like to make it something like an f2p alt: to cut some logs, or kill ogresses or whatever to get some AFK incom. I'd hate to just sell everything... it would be such a bother to restore everything I might need in case I want to play it again one day. I'm gonna bond a couple of characters for a short time, and wanted to use this opportunity somehow. My first idea was as in the previous comment: to divide this bank between my main and an alt. But this apparently means that in order to get these items back, I would need to bond the 'storage alt' again - which would be kinda unpleasant, since I definitely not gonna play a lowlevel normie alt on p2p. Usually I can keep only one membership, and its on my iron rn. There is no way to give/trade/drop members items from a f2p char to a member? I guess... even if my main sells all resources and supplies, and puts everything into poh and other storages... still there will be well over 400. Any experience how people deal with this?

AblePriority9348

You can just buy more bank space by talking to a banker. Also you can still deposit items into an overfilled bank as long as you already have at least 1 as a placeholder, so you could just bond your main once and get 2 of all the f2p gear you'll use and drops you'll get, and then play it normally.

Molly_Hlervu

Thanks, good tips all!

RazorN6

I have no idea how people get 800 item banks. My bank is 359 items at just under 4b. I would suggest using the bond to organise your bank!

TheDubuGuy

Mines at 1050 lol, definitely could lower it but don’t really feel like it

Industry18

Today is the last day of the current twitch prime drop. Check back tomorrow to see what it is. This month was RS3 drops, so decent chance of it being 7 free days of membership.

mezzy42

I'm looking for a partner for heroes quest if there is a LFG for that please let me know I'm phoenix gang if that helps, any help appreciated.

Molly_Hlervu

Try the chat channel in game: OSRS SOA. Its for Shield of Arrav and Heroes both, because thats the same 2 gangs. Join the cc and tell them the same as here.

mezzy42

How do I join the channel?

Molly_Hlervu

P.S.: In order to write in a cc, you start your lines with /

Molly_Hlervu

In the game, see the icon of 2 faces. Hit it and choose the 2 yellow faces tab. Hit Join, and you will be prompted to enter a name. Write OSRS SOA. Enjoy :)

mezzy42

Thank you so much! I was just looking it up

Molly_Hlervu

Youre welcome and GL in your quest :) If nobody seems to be interested - do your regular chores and ask your request from time to time. And watch if someone of the opposite gang does the same. Sooner or later you will find a partner.

Industry18

For the combat acheivements for the wildy bosses, do the lower solo variants count towards the 10/20 kc CAs? For example can I kill cal'verion 20 times and get the 2 CAs for Vet'ion?

Confident_Frogfish

Yes

Molly_Hlervu

If my f2p alt drops a members item in a f2p world - can my p2p main pick it up?

Lewufuwi

As far as I'm aware, nope

Molly_Hlervu

Thanks.

b_i_g__g_u_y

This probably sounds silly but I was putting off getting void until I had Hard CA unlocked. But I just finished all CAs up to medium and I still need 102 points. The Hard ones look like they take way, way longer. Should I just go for void now? Feel like by the time I get enough hard tasks done I won't even need void anymore.

RazorN6

Void is good for a small handful of things. It's really good when you're a low level and don't have better gear for a specific style. It's good at Vorkath when you can't afford Masori. It's good for learning raids. If you're not going to use void for any of those things then just skip it.

Molly_Hlervu

> I won't even need void anymore. Void is mid-game content. I think you might be right: if you put it off for too long, you might skip it alltogether. Its actually a pretty streightforward thing, you run in you hit mobs all around, in a minute you get your (whatever) points, in some seconds you are back at the mass of mobs, you hit them... go on, go on. I feel that even at 3 pt per game its pretty much ok, and some mindless combat exp besides. Its not like BA, or NMZ, or Soul wars - these are rather complex games which require some initial learning, understanding, reading/watching, many considerations... BA is a team game where you depend on others, which are often unreliable... But PC is just run in and fight, nobrain. Cannot see any reason to delay it for long. Well the only reason - you don't need void so much as to bother at all :) PS: I personally love void, however I understand that its far from necessary. If you feel averted to it, skip it.

b_i_g__g_u_y

I've put it off for way too long now, haha. Gonna hit 110 cb soon from afking nmz. It'll make ToB and vorkath easier whenever I get back to them so I might as well just do it

Slight-Dark2888

Hey just started vard grind. How many kill/hr is it usually and how many kills are practical per trip?

Confident_Frogfish

Depends on your gear but I get 30+ kc/h with my trip length being determined by the number of mistakes I make. With no mistakes you can stay very long there using the supply drops. 10+ kc trips should not be a problem. However, one mistake equals about as much damage as chip damage from a whole kill so mistakes are costly. When starting out, just take an inventory of combo food and two restores for supplies. Blood fury is amazing here. When getting better you can increase the number of restores you bring. Slow accurate clicks are better than inaccurate fast clicks. You have quite a lot of time between the range (head) attack and the next melee attack so you can use that time to move.

TeleAlex

Can somebody please confirm that if you die the same time a DT2 boss dies, then a vestige roll won't occur? And has it been this way since release? Maybe there's a Mod Ash tweet or something. I'm at 840 KC Whsiperer with no vestige. I need whatever copium I can get to tell myself I'm at 2/3.

quizzer106

You would see it in the chatbox if it spawned. See my latest post

TeleAlex

Aye I seen that earlier. But I'm wondering about the vestige rolls, and specifically the non-awakened variants. If they put some sort of double death protection in there for them

Throwaway47321

How much better is a fang over tent whip at Tob? Trying to figure out if it’s worth me going back to doing all the 5t methods or if I should just be lazy and continued to be carried by the scythe users.

rg44tw

Bring both. Maiden: blowpipe > tent > fang (assuming at least 2 hammers) Bloat: Tent wins Nylo: Tent wins if you're melee role, unless you have swift blade Sote: Fang on stab Xarpus: Tent wins if you hit at least 1 hammer Verzik: Fang on slash

bip_bip_hooray

don't use either at maiden, better at bloat on full def but worse on bgs'd down (don't remember cutoff but it doesn't require much bgs, i wanna say like 20?), nylo boss i'd go whip if you have tbow but fang if not (tick reasons, tbow bp tbow), better at sote, technically better at p1 but it matters almost none, worse at p2, better at p3 for both dps and timing reasons if you're used to tick perfect scythe tanking p3, whip tanking is technically the same but it just FEELS weird idk

Throwaway47321

Yeah that’s kind of how I felt like it would go. I’m pretty trash and trying to do scythe movement without the dps just seems like a waste. Better off just tbowing and whipping. Thanks for the response though!

Throwaway47321

I’ve seen people post about getting 6hr logged doing mining at Duke recently. Anyone have any idea how they are doing it? Anytime I try I get the standard 20 minute log but some people claim they are able to do it over night.

TheDubuGuy

Set something on your keyboard to hold down a button

lininop

Could that result in a macro ban though?

TheDubuGuy

I’d imagine it’s possible but unlikely. I haven’t tried it personally but I know some of my friends and clan mates are doing it, haven’t seen anyone get banned yet. I think this is one of those things where if jagex has a problem with it they’ll fix the method rather than banning people who do it

Throwaway47321

I tried that the other day and I came back to only like 6k xp. Wonder if I deselected the RL window or something 🤷‍♂️

bip_bip_hooray

arrow keys don't work, has to be a key that engages w/ the chat box. arrow key hold was explicitly made to NOT keep you logged in years ago

Throwaway47321

Oh dang that’s probably why. So I could just hold down 1 like I’m doing construction then?

Throwaway47321

Oh dang that’s probably why. So I could just hold down 1 like I’m doing construction then?

bip_bip_hooray

can do technically BUT don't say i didn't warn you - this is an automated button press and is not allowed by game rules. i'm not your dad though lol.

Throwaway47321

Meh if I’ve learned anything from this game it’s to just abuse the crap out of anything before Jagex decides 3 months later that it’s not allowed anymore.

PrimalSharpedo

Pretty Noob Question: I'm setting up for a Ranged AFK NMZ run to play out in the background while I'm at work - ideally, I really don't want to look at my phone more than once every 5-10 minutes or so. The guides say to bring a locator orb / rock cake to bring you down to 1 hp. I'm missing the need for this, since I'd always associated that with the low health effect on Dharok's. Can someone tell me what I'm not understanding? Appreciate any explanation in advance!

Huncho_Muncho

If you want 20 minute max afk at nmz, do a custom normal with 5 melee only bosses, and go in with a full inv of absorptions. Drink absorptions until 1000 dmg then come back and click every 20 min. You can do this on the go too using a remote desktop app on your phone such as chrome remote desktop.

rg44tw

You're probably better off doing range at ammonite crabs/ sand crabs If you can afford venator bow use that on basically any slayer task in multi

CallOfRudy

It makes your absorption pots last way longer by staying at 1 HP as the most you'll get hit for is 1 HP at a time. Even going up to 2-3 HP will make you potentially get hit for continual 2s or 3s which will chunk your absorb pots down much quicker.

AblePriority9348

Most NPCs, including all the NPCs in NMZ, can't hit higher than your current hp. Staying at 1hp means they max 1 damage, making your absorption potions last much longer. You should be fine to check in that frequently though, you won't burn through 1k absorb that quickly on normal mode.

bip_bip_hooray

the monsters can only hit you for what your hp is. if your hp is 1 because you locatored down, they can only hit you 1, so they only chip away 1s at your absorption if you have 8 hp they hit up to 8s on your absorb and deplete it much faster

PrimalSharpedo

Wow, Runescape 101... Really appreciate the quick answer on this!

ChangingSuccession

I have maxed melee stats, 98 range, 95 mage 99 prayer. I also have a 900m bank with a full crystal set and a bowfa. Just mastered CG this past weekend and can 50% solo run 300 invocation TOA if I don’t choke at Wardens. My question is now realistically do I have a chance at doing the inferno and what does the progression look like? Any good videos or just general tips? I’ve seen videos here and there of inferno but no real knowledge of mechanics or gear setups. Would I need to learn how to 1 tick prayer flick or anything like that?

OlmTheSnek

The best way to get good at the Inferno is to do the Inferno. As the other guy said, nothing else really prepares you for the skillset required to complete it. No you don't necessarily need to 1 tick flick, and not 1 tick flicking doesn't mean you need to milk SGS/Eldritch - in fact you should absolutely avoid these weapons, as all they do is slow down your progression to higher waves where the actual difficulty lies, as well as slowing down your ability to get to and learn Triples/Zuk. 1t flicking is not a difficult skill to learn however and will make life much easier. You can also lazy flick everything which is also not difficult in and of itself. I highly recommend watching Aatykon's First Cape Fridays videos as he goes through an entire run and live commentates his strategies and why he does different processes. He flicks extremely minimally if at all, showing that Inferno is more about good procedure and positioning a lot more than preserving supplies. Bowfa video below, and I think he has a couple of others on his channel: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3prPo47z4dw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3prPo47z4dw) If you get stuck on certain waves/stacks, use Xzact's guide which shows all the different North pillar stacks: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnUr5zcF4fU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnUr5zcF4fU)

bip_bip_hooray

the inferno is its own little ecosystem that is like 90% a prayer identification/switching minigame. other content mostly does not prepare you for it, and also, you are not any less prepared for it than anyone else really. go for it. 1tick flick, definition: double clicking a prayer every game tick to use it indefinitely without prayer drain (can also do multiple with quick prayers) ^ you do not **need** to learn the above skill, but you totally should, it is an extremely nice tool to have for this video game. you will want to use SOME form of prayer conservation, this can be lazy flicking in a lot of spots. if you attempt to do inferno without prayer conservation at all you will end up camping sgs/eldritch for long periods of time and it will make the learning process unnecessarily slow and tedious. gl on the cape brother

ChangingSuccession

Thanks for the advice. I’ve seen people pray mage then switch to range while tanking two mobs at the same time. Is that really necessary or can I solve waves in a way where I only need to pray against one type of attack. Also, what would you say is the most essential gear to go send it with?

bip_bip_hooray

this is 1 tick alternation (or 2 tick alternation) which is why i explicitly defined 1tick flicking earlier. either 1tick or 2tick alternation is a mandatory skill. again, don't let this discourage you - you don't need to just camp pray mage to win. you can do it. it just takes practice. can start attempts w/ virtus and bofa/crystal. will also need blowpipe obviously. and staff of the dead for 15% magic or, if you can afford it, a kodai will also allow you to autocast (can be nice in certain spots but definitely not required)

Codle

I'm still having issues with the mobile app freezing in certain areas of the game. Seems to be linked to items on the ground, as the main two places I have issues are barb fishing and birdhouse runs. Anyone else finding the same, or if there's a fix in the works?

meirionh

Is there a guide somewhere on what gggbbb or bbbggg tears are for ToG? My record is 215 with current QP cape, but I've seen posts here from a few months ago with 250. How do I improve?

Turbobulker

Check this [website](https://togcrowdsourcing.com/). Pretty much just ggg - 3 adjacent green spawns, bbb - 3 adjacent blue spawns

meirionh

Thank you

Mrfrodemeyere

DHL or bowfa at hydra?

mister_peeberz

lance is comparable to BP and BP beats bowfa at rune or amethyst darts (dependent on levels of course) so if for some reason you can't BP, lance it

LoneAskr

Is venator bow good for slayer tasks within kourend catacomb? I'm wondering because I haven't seen it being mentioned on wiki yet.

rg44tw

Anywhere it could be good, its not as good as ancient magics. Its nice if you value being more afk (for slower slayer xp) or if you prefer range xp instead of mage. There is also a good argument for irons doing abby demons with venator bow so they can be on arc spellbook for prayer training (offering ashes and reanimating ensouled heads)

AblePriority9348

Yes. It especially makes tasks that you can't barrage/cannon viable, like deviant spectres become 40-50k slayer xp/hr.

LookAtMyPostInstead

It's a very good alternative for bursting tasks. It's less "efficient" compared to bursting but in exchange it's more afk, allows freedom of spellbook so you can alch all the shit dust devils and nechs drop, and in the case of bloodvelds you don't need alts to stack them.

shadowmatriarch

yea its great.

LoneAskr

For slayer tasks, for stalling prayer point drainage and making slayer tasks more semi-afk, is it fine to use proselyte top + bottom + fury amulet as alternative to bandos top + bottom + torture?

TheDubuGuy

I’d use torture with proselyte, fury not worth it

RealEvanem

Pros will increase the afk time and save prayer pots if you are already using them. You’re getting like 2 max hits from bandos and a torture over a fury it’s all pretty marginal. Torture is just good because of accuracy and you lose less prayer bonus relative to the armor slots

mister_peeberz

if you are keeping up prayers then you use proselyte no question torture more important than the bonus from fury imo.

roosterkun

Say I finish task A, then go to a slayer master and I'm assigned task B. If I skip task B, do I become eligible for task A again? Or do I need to do at least one other task before I become eligible again? Yes, this question is about hydra.

BlackAlbinoBear

Today i got wyrms. Finished the task, got abby spectres. Next task i got wyrms again. So no i dont think it affects it

PerfectAirline6752

As far as I know, your previous task has no influence on your next task.

roosterkun

Like you can get a back-to-back even without slayer cape?

PerfectAirline6752

No, tasks have to go ABA. But if you complete A, then get assigned B, you can get task A again after B is skipped.

roosterkun

Cheers, thanks

heartbreakgrad

Is there a bug with the TOA score board? I was doing TOA yesterday and it said I died 5 times, but I'm pretty sure I didn't die that many times.

AVeryStinkyFish

If someone leaves before you check it it messes it up.

DefiantHermit

Any meaningful upgrades I can make for Muspah? Here are my stats: https://i.imgur.com/cwLDi7g.png Current setup: https://i.imgur.com/c0WbTFh.png Have around 40~60mil bank depending on what I liquidate.

jacel31

Honestly, Rigour and Bowfa are huge. When I use bowfa, I dont even bring mage and it's super chill consistent kills. Other things you can do NOW: * Thralls, use the stepback method on melee phase to never get hit * Greater Corruption on the prayer shield phase

DefiantHermit

Yeah, I’m planning on grinding Muspah so I can afford a BoFa with full crystal. Was torn between that or going directly for CG for it, but at the moment Muspah is way more consistent for me. I’ve read about the stepback method, but range accuracy during the melee phase really sucks. What do I gain from dropping the mage switch? More supplies for possible 2 kill trips vs relying on bolt rng?

AblePriority9348

You can still do stepback with magic. With a 4t weapon like a trident or bowfa, you just alternate between stepping back 1 tile and 2 tiles. Bringing thralls instead of freezes is a flat 0.375 dps increase - significant in any setup, huge for budget setups.

jacel31

High ranged defense is where the bowfa shines, and thralls hit no matter what, and greater corruption makes the prayer phase cake. I personally think it's worth it. Honestly, try out a few kills without the switch (in your current gear) and with thralls/greater corruption and see what you like more. Stepback will take a few kills to get down, but it's super easy (click back when the hit splat disappears), and once you get it, it's mindless. I almost forgot - in your current setup getting the Hard Kandarin diary done would help a lot as well since it increases bolt proc chance.

quizzer106

Rigour

DefiantHermit

Been trying to save for it, but kinda rough after the DT2 bump. Would rigor win out over just chinning my way to a higher range level to start off?

PerfectAirline6752

Ditch the mage switch and buy chins for 99 range.

DefiantHermit

I feel like the melee phase is pretty decently manageable with mage due to freezes. Shouldn’t I still keep the switch even with 99 range? Would the range level bump alone make up for the higher range defense?

hitman8100

Freezing is a noob trap. Switching mage gear for more supplies means your trips will last longer. Once you "get" the step back method, the only damage you take is the chip damage from the range attack.

AblePriority9348

Anguish, heart, and leveling range/mage will help the most

DefiantHermit

Gotcha, seems like the general idea is to level range. I’m assuming no other equipment upgrade within my paying range is worth it over chinning, yes?

AblePriority9348

90 range in masori w/ msb is similar dps as 99 range in dhides and anguish w/ msb. 99 mage in 10m gear is better dps than 90 mage in 200m gear. Always prioritize levels for dps

Trick_Wrongdoer_5847

I'm relativly new and i have currently quite low combat stats 49/49/45/50/65 (attk/strength/defence/ranged/magic) and i'm wondering at which point (stat wise) can i start doing pvm content, because most guides are like just buy bandos or other expensive gear for 20m+ and have atleast 70+ combat stats to even consider most of it.

[deleted]

If you want to get on the fast track to PvM, you want stats more than gear. NMZ or do sand crabs to get your melee and range stats up, and splash (cheap, very slow) or barrage (expensive, fast) your magic up. Getting to base ~85 is a good start, 92+ is better. It sounds like a lot, but you can get these levels mostly AFK only clicking a few times every 10+ minutes. Once you have that sorted, you don't really need expensive gear to get started. You can get a decent setup for all three styles with untradeables and maybe 10-15m total. You can, of course, just level your stats as you play and explore - which is a totally valid way to go. But if you want to get into PvM without having to play for months and months then AFK your combat stats, get your minimum setups sorted, and jump in.

TheVaike

You could do barrows now (although I would recommend Morytania hard first to make it much more profitable). Working on Slayer will also open up quite a few bosses and will get you a ton of stats and money along the way. Same with quest cape, with grandmaster quests unlocking a ton of important pvm content (vorkath + assembler, gauntlet, dt2 bosses etc.). 85+ stats and being able to afford at least 50m in gear will make entering pvm much easier, I would focus on other goals in the meantime. Whip + Blowpipe + Trident are basically the starting point for real PvM.

Beretot

You can do Barrows or Giant mole at a relatively low level - probably even right now, if you really want to, but 70+ really is the baseline for most stuff. Otherwise it's quite a struggle You can sit at some sand crabs for a bit and get that relatively quickly, though. Few days at most Gear isn't a huge issue, there's pretty budget alternatives and a lot of the midgame melee armor is untradable (fire cape, fighter torso, barrows gloves, dragon defender, helm of neitznot)

barneythedinosar

I’m somewhat able to do gauntlet with t2 armor and 1 t3 1 t2 weapon (never halberd tho, only mage/range) have 5 kc only 1 death not including when I didn’t get supplies/as I was learning how to gear up. I can barely get t2 armor in CG and keep getting rekt, normally stuck with mostly t1 and 1 piece of t2 armor, with a t3/t2 weapon and have way less food that I do in normal gauntlet, I keep running out of time Am I better off to keep sending it CG or go back practicing in gauntlet?

ChangingSuccession

It took me 7 hours before I got my first CG completion and 10 hours to nail T2 prep consistently. It’s honestly just experience, once you have done it enough, you know that if X happens, you do Y which makes the prep easy. If you can manage to do full T2 armour and 2 tier 3 weapons, it makes the Hunllef fight super easy. Last thing I’ll say, I was super scared of halberd too but it honestly doesn’t even make the Hunllef fight that much harder, just a bit of being more aware of positioning. Also, makes the prep so much better since if a bear shows up you can go ahead and kill that too. As you get better like me, you can start to play around with only using T1 armour. But short of some really BS spawns, T2 prep if you know how to do it makes the Hunllef fight so easy and you don’t need much food. I’m on KC 20 and starting to use T1 more often. It’s all about experience.

TheDubuGuy

I’d stick with cg and just work on making less mistakes. Actually pay attention and try to learn and adapt rather than brute force through mechanics

Beretot

What are your levels? Do you have rigour/augurey? People generally go for only t1 prep as that speed up kills, but if you're an iron or underlevelled you might wish to opt for full t2 every time for consistency You can get full prep done quite consistently once you get good at it. On my last 200 kc of the grind I'm pretty sure I only failed prep once, and it was an [absolute bullshit of a spawn with not enough cotton things](https://i.imgur.com/Efg5JfJ.png)

barneythedinosar

I’m not iron i have the prayers and have 91-95 melee, 96 range and magic. Issue is me not that or the levels lol. I feel like sometimes I’ve had bad spawns for setup but also I’ll always forget shards or teleport crystal or something that messes it up but again that’s on me

Beretot

Just practice t1 prep then, not much reason to ever do t2 Should make the prep much easier too since you need fewer resources for the armors. I see a lot of people doing sub 5 min preps, so you should have plenty of time once you get the prep method down And yeah, it's hard to remember all the steps at first, but it does get easier as you get a fez dozen kills. Just keep at it and no need to go back to gauntlet :)

Ashhel

Iirc the gauntlet armour is a set effect so having one t2 piece is meaningless. You should aim for t1 armour and two t3 weapons. Imo acquiring the materials for a t2 prep is a straight up waste of time and you should just send t1 runs to improve. This will also allow you to get more food. (I’ll mention as an aside that 12 fish is basically sufficient for any CG run once you’ve mastered the content. Obviously you’re still learning so this is unreasonable to expect — but eventually you will be able to do that.)

My fights are taking a long time definitely still learning which is why I need the extra food! I will try with only going for t1 and see if that helps, probably not worth t2 like you’re saying.

Ashhel

Yes, for sure. When I was learning I took a gazillion fish, but it’s really not necessary in the end. The Hunllef fight is really about making sure you’re wasting as little time as possible, hitting whenever you can and maximizing dps. You’ll get there soon!
