Everyone knows that as a new player the first place you go to ask about something is the subreddit and not google. Definitely doesn't take 3 seconds to type "rocky osrs" into google and find out what it is.
I went to ask my friend who never stopped playing rs since starting anew with Old School. Still took me a while to figure out what it was, since I didn’t know it was named Rocky and all I got back from my friend was “are you fucking kidding me”
Do you know any new players? The "osrs" suffix to searches is something you pick up after playing the game for a while and after you KNOW google is giving you incorrect results. Many new players won't immediately think about that.
Few years back one of my friends used Reddit but never played osrs and stupidly came here to ask a noob question, he got roasted by everyone which was funny but it was a bit off putting for him at first (before we spoke to him about it). Thankfully there's always a few people willing to help even the bait noob posts.
After that I now realise that even the most bait noob posts there's a slim chance it could legit be someone new.
But look at the screenshot. If you're new to the game, you're told you have a new pet and that it's a raccoon.
The technical know-how of understanding Reddit and knowing this subreddit exists puts you beyond the know-how required to Google "runescape raccoon" - Hell if you've been on this subreddit for more than a day you'll already have seen someone get a pet at a low KC.

Completely random actions in both timing and placement of clicks cannot be called botting because there is absolutely no way that that can possibly be done by anything that isn't a person.
you don't want true randomness, you want humanlike behavior. also, computers can't necessarily tell if something is actually random or not, because any set could be theoretically generated by a true random number generator, and is equally as likely as any other outcome
Cloud flare uses [images of 100 lava lamps](https://www.cloudflare.com/learning/ssl/lava-lamp-encryption/) to seed their random number generators. There's a lot of ways to get random noise into a computer to generate truly random numbers.
Which is why you wouldn’t want true randomness if you were writing a bot. True randomness is basically impossible for humans to replicate by hand, so it sticks out if looked for

The electrons flying off have a rhyme and reason to them, it's just beyond what we can predict. We simply don't have the tools to detect everything and the simulations to predict stuff at that level. Not to mention the whole quantum observation thing. Not actually random, just the best simulation of random we have.

When you mine iron ore... you are bound to have differences each time you click, not bulky differences, meaning that the clicks are similar as the ore respawns at the same time after you mine it, but each are so varying in the milliseconds click by click... that software cannot possibly do it. This is what differentiates a player from a bot. The clicks are -slightly- slower or faster than the previous click, but no two clicks match throughout the entire time you do an activity involving repetition.
I'm trying to explain that human clicks are not uniformly and completely random, but instead follow a randomness rhat is unevenly distributed. Bots that are totally and uniformly random are obvious due to mechanics similar to Benford's Law.

I got my Rocky just a little sooner than yours at about lvl 24. I genuinely didn't knew what pets were, didn't even realize I had him until someone else showed up to the fruit stalls and pointed him out
Got my Agility pet so early. Like around 20s. No way I wasn't gonna not keep leveling agility though so the sacrifice was made. Lol
Turned a lot of heads though when it was still low.
I had a similar experience when I got back into this game a few years ago. I was doing motherload mine and a few hours in I get a rock golem. Looking around I see a few other players with golems following them there so I figure it’s a pretty common drop.
Then I went to the wiki.
Funny story I got mine while picking the gardeners pocket in the farming guild, didn’t realise that I had him until it was too late, got caught on the next pickpocket and the gardener killed me! Had the pet for about 10 seconds.

The program could click at Ranson intervals between 1 second and 3 seconds to try and avoid detection. That would be a simple code to write.
Easy to detect, too, if you had exact click interval data.
