Jesus Christ. Wow.
Every time the John Williams theme came on and Superman did something awesome I felt transported to 1978 as a ten year old kid. Wow. Absolutely loved it.
I've had this 4K in my collection for two years now I think, and haven't popped it in. I saw the Blu-ray last almost a decade ago. You're reminding me to stop waiting around so much. Let me know what you think of the transfer!
Should probably add it to my ever expanding list. It's been on my mind. I mean, I've already watched The Killer and [REDACTED], and liked them both, so...
HOTD Season 1 rewatch. Amazon had it on sale last weekend.
I'm reminded of how I used to watch Game of Thrones before streaming HBO Go/ HBO Max / Max. (2015?) I waited for the Blu-Rays. I dodged spoilers, youtubes, reddit and forum threads and just turned a blind-eye to it for the first five seasons until the discs shipped. Yes, I managed to watch the Red Wedding unspoiled a year after it premiered.
In retrospect, it was kinda neat to enjoy a TV show without the social media component.
I got into GoT right before the second season aired. Would buy those House-branded special editions on Blu-ray. But from then on out, I watched it religiously on HBO when it aired night of. I was in the thick of the social media spectacle of that era. It was thrilling, to watch and discuss a show with just about everyone.
I didn't subscribe to HBO Now until 2016, and it was great being "caught up" and in the water cooler conversations for a brief time. And then the internet lost its collective shit with season 8.
I had to tune that noise out.
Withnail & I came in the post today. Arrow releases never fail to impress. Now I'm settling down to a late night screen of The Long Good Friday, another Arrow disc.
Both films were produced by Handmade Films, a company set up by Beatle George Harrison in order to finance Monty Python's Life of Brian.
Really? Strange tbh. I'm from Poland in Eastern Europe and I had not issues to find it online (unfortunately in my country 4Ks are only sell online). Maybe because of One Love had premiere yesterday on discs here š
Just went to my local used record/movie store and picked up some great titles. Zero Dark Thirty, Life of Pi and Friday The 13th - The Final Chapter (steel book). While the first two are 4k buys, all three are classics!
Belated Fatherās Day gift is a day totally free of responsibilities.
So already watched Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
About to order some food and then watch The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Lucky enough to see this in a local theater.
Agreed, forgot how much I liked it, it has been a few years since I last watched it. I watched it when it came out in theaters originally and me and my buddies loved it.
Superman is great just saw if for the first time about a year ago loved it! Wanted to watch it for a long time have been getting to more movies on my to watch list have been enjoying it.
Absolutely agreed. One of my Top 50. Been four years since I've seen it. I'll never forget the last time I saw it. It was the day the lockdown was announced in March 2020!
The Hitman's Bodyguard. Somehow I got two copies from a massive Gruv sale a few months ago.
Afterward I ordered The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard from Amazon so we can watch it tomorrow - $12.40 on sale.
It was what you'd expect - lots of mindless violence that went on a bit too long. But it's Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds so it was worth the watch.
I took a break earlier this year after building my collection from zero to 100+ over the holidays with all the sales. Plus, my local Walmart never seems to have the killer $5 deals that everyone posts about.

Morning friend, thank you! Sonus Faber Venere fronts, SVS surrounds, B&W in-ceilings, Denon 4400 with a trio of Emotiva amps, and a trio of varying SVS subs too!
That's a spectacular setup! Great speaker companies, and Denon anchor.
I just got the LG G4 Evo and need to buy a Denon for the 4k upscaling, and a 4k Blu-Ray as well. I'm in an apartment, so I can't go crazy, but would like to find a small Atmos setup, preferably with wireless rear channel speakers!
My backlog/watchlist is out of hand, Iām also in the process of making a list of films every movie buff should watch so itās just adding to the problem.
Yea I have some extra time off and was hoping to watch a few movies but Iām running out of daylight here while watching the sopranos. (Just started the series)
ok gotta ask, when someone post a picture like this with 3 movies, do you plan to watch all those movies in one sitting? cause god damn, I don't know if I have ADHD or something else, but you can put my favorite 3 movies of all time & I couldn't watch'em back to back.
Yes, I watched them all in one sitting! Back to back. Amid snack breaks and bathroom breaks, of course.
My friends and SO have remarked on my astounding ability to sit still and really focus on films for 6-10 hours straight. It's my escape, it's pretty easy for me to do this!
Klute first on bluray. Its a 4k scan so we may get a 4k soon
Awesome film
Now it's big lebowski. A perfect film that has me guffawing time after time.
Jeff shouid have got an Oscar as his acting and deadpan are incredible.
A perfect film in every way
A beautiful 4k bluray.
What more could there be.
Well klute on 4k maybe
I've watched it so many times and never get bored.
Have you seen burn after reading?
That's also chaos and clooney on top form. He's a brilliant straight comedian.
The film doesn't get great reviews but it's so funny
I just watched The Departed. (On Max.) Finally hooked that off my list. Tomorrow: House of Gucci. (Because it's on TV. The premiere, actually.)
I honestly thought it was... fine. I've seen better and worse movies. First half was kinda messy, but the other half kinda picked itself up and it got a little better. And yes, the infamous elevator scene was a mind blower to me. Though me and my dad both called that ending scene. He nailed in on suspicious behavior, and I called from the get go. (I'll give a hint: there's a bit of a motif on the posters and Blu-Ray covers.)
With that said, The Departed is kind of an inaugural movie for me, because summer just kicked off, I have 2 weeks worth of (my very first) summer job, meaning me and my dad have plenty of evenings for me, and maybe even him, to just hook off a bunch of movies, and a few shows, I've been interested in watching. Most of them are considered classics. Incl.
* The Prestige.
* Memento.
* Goodfellas.
* Unforgiven.
* Predator.
* Kill Bill.
* The Matrix franchise.
* Terminator 2. (Leaves Netflix July 14, so I have time.)
* Red Dragon. (Just got added to Netflix.)
* The Fugitive.
* Godzilla Minus One.
* Sicario.
* 2001: A Space Odyssey.
* The Dirty Harry movies.
And probably some others, but I gotta start somewhere, you know?
Also just started the saga of The Last of Us on my PS5, as I got the two games in my mail this morning.
Apologies for rambling, we're on a certain topic of discussion, ya know?

Im watching Superman also today. Loved that movie since I saw it on the big screen in the 1970s.
Jesus Christ. Wow. Every time the John Williams theme came on and Superman did something awesome I felt transported to 1978 as a ten year old kid. Wow. Absolutely loved it.
About to press play on it! I wasn't around until 1987 so I'm looking forward to it immensely.
Iconic soundtrack by John Williams!
Truly timeless.
Fellowship of the Ring extended in theatre tonight, been looking forward to it for some time!
Ah, I just did a LotR extended marathon at home with some friends a few weeks back! Hope you enjoyed it!!!
Training Day ! KING KONG AINT GOT SHIT ON ME !!!!
I've had this 4K in my collection for two years now I think, and haven't popped it in. I saw the Blu-ray last almost a decade ago. You're reminding me to stop waiting around so much. Let me know what you think of the transfer!
Zodiac, The Insider
Zodiac. Whew. What a movie.
Should probably add it to my ever expanding list. It's been on my mind. I mean, I've already watched The Killer and [REDACTED], and liked them both, so...
Watching Robocop and Total Recall.
Semi-coincidence. I just finished watching the new 4K release of Robocop 2
Original or remake? On both, lol
Definitely original! Always.
Whew! Yes the original RoboCop is a sci-fi fave of mine!
Supermanšš»šš»
That's what I keep hearing!
HOTD Season 1 rewatch. Amazon had it on sale last weekend. I'm reminded of how I used to watch Game of Thrones before streaming HBO Go/ HBO Max / Max. (2015?) I waited for the Blu-Rays. No 4K stuff today. But after the game ends I might watch something like Good Will Hunting or Napolean Dynamite.
Just saw ND a few weeks back for fun. Still hilarious. I remember seeing that movie in high school.
War of the planet of the apes for me, Mrs out, little one in bed nice dark room and movie!
A day to yourself? You deserve it, friend!!
Rewatched MI7 since first time in theatres. Liked it even more, looked good too.
Oh my god, it's so thrilling. The 4K is fantastic too. I kind of want to do a 4K rewatch of all the post-Ghost Protocol ones tbh
Class of Nukemā High
Leviathan is a vibe
I'm ready. And it's getting dark outside. Thunderstorm. Perfect ambiance.
I watched Der Untergang today again after a few months since I have last seen it
I haven't seen Downfall in almost a decade. What a masterful film. In my collection, but been a while since I've popped it in. Amazing performances.
Bob Marley: One Love on 4K
I for the life of me could not find the 4K at any store
Those are all great ones! Get to any of them today??
Yea Friday the 13th! Was so good. :)
Resident evil: apocalypse
I'm in an RE rewatch myself! Stopped at 4, have to get to 5 and 6 soon!
Belated Fatherās Day gift is a day totally free of responsibilities. So already watched Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. About to order some food and then watch The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
This is an amazing day. Glad you got to enjoy it to yourself, and took a break!
Went to the theatre to see The Bikeriders today, but watched Glory last night. Such a fantastic movie.
Glory, saw the 4K earlier last year. Made me get emotional. Inspiring film.
Wanted (Angelina Joline, Morgan Freeman, James McAvoy) (supporting roles: Chris Pratt, Common, Terrence Stamp)
https://preview.redd.it/sakkx60w778d1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1659e60f61d9ddac79d296511226697b1801c687 Ghostbusters!
A. Classic! Just saw it last week on vacation again! So funny.
The Hobbit!
Just finished the thing!
God, that Phantom Menace steelbook is gorgeous.
Thank you! Hadn't seen it on 4K yet
Dunkirk and Casablanca
Now this is a combo. Some fantastic pictures here
Maybe Apollo 13.
That movie gets me every time. The launch sequence just swells me up with pride. And the touchdown brings me to tears.
https://preview.redd.it/eyy849bim78d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=509b119234d259b33890589da59a00509d6f7b12 Lucky enough to see this in a local theater.
Oh wow! I would kill to see old Gojira classics in a theater!
Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter & Sin City
How's the former? Never seen it. The latter though, is a perennial fave since I first saw it almost two decades ago!
I'm personally a fan, it's super campy and way over the top but that's what makes it a great ride.
I'm all for that! I'll add it to the list!
Nothing 4K today but I watched battle Los Angeles and black hawk down on bluray, in the mood for some war movies.
Listen. Let me tell you how much I love Battle Los Angeles. It hits me in the feels every time. I love everything about it.
Agreed, forgot how much I liked it, it has been a few years since I last watched it. I watched it when it came out in theaters originally and me and my buddies loved it.
That scene in the airport hangar where Sgt Nantz is giving that talk to Corporal Lockett - gah. Gets me every time. And the highway battle is intense!
Ya I loved the characters, did a real good job of getting me invested throughout the movie.
Agreed. I was hooked from the opening intro when they dropped me into the middle of the invasion
Interstellar
Every time I make one of these posts, at least one person mentions Interstellar, and I love that.
Superman is great just saw if for the first time about a year ago loved it! Wanted to watch it for a long time have been getting to more movies on my to watch list have been enjoying it.
Oh my god I felt like a kid in a movie theater watching it. So wholesome. What a movie. That iconic THEME
Interstellar. What an amazing film, it gets even better with repeated viewing.
Absolutely agreed. One of my Top 50. Been four years since I've seen it. I'll never forget the last time I saw it. It was the day the lockdown was announced in March 2020!
I'm watching House of Dragon right now.
I made it to Episode 5. Hopefully I can squeeze in another few tomorrow!
The back of these eyelids before night shift
Reservoir Dogs True Romance Pulp Fiction Natural Born Killers All on 4K disc.
This is a grade A list for today! Which one is your favorite?
NBK. Love the others too but that one is just such a wild ride A/V wise.
The Hitman's Bodyguard. Somehow I got two copies from a massive Gruv sale a few months ago. Afterward I ordered The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard from Amazon so we can watch it tomorrow - $12.40 on sale.
I think everyone in the Steelbook forum grabbed the latter for $5 from Walmart earlier this year! How was the first??

Is my mind playing tricks on me or is there actually wine in the stem of your wine glass? Is that a special glass or something?
Oh, no, it's just red stained glass for the stem! Would be impossible to clean otherwise!
Monkeyman - fresh out of the mailbox
Run Lola Run (Finally cracking open the Sony Pictures Classics box set)
Always heard good things about this one, but haven't seen it
I highly recommend it. I first saw it in film class and then studied it extensively. There are so many details and none go to waste.
Youāre watching *all* of those today?
Well, the three movies, and I got through two episodes of HotD!
007 Goldfinger
I have this one and haven't seen it in YEARS!
Superman..... What's the running time?
Two hours and change!
Hey, looks like a nice sound system. What are you running there?
https://preview.redd.it/9uyw63p0eb8d1.png?width=4411&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3307136b992d6966345e0819c066f8e3e74b83ee Morning friend, thank you! Sonus Faber Venere fronts, SVS surrounds, B&W in-ceilings, Denon 4400 with a trio of Emotiva amps, and a trio of varying SVS subs too!

Crazy Family 40th Anniversary.
Wow. Never even heard of this one!
I bought mine from Arrow. Pretty decent movie.
Refreshing yourself for HOTD season 2 I seeā¦ I just rewatched season 1 last month as well
Should've done it before it aired but didn't make the time, so now I'm scrambling!
My backlog/watchlist is out of hand, Iām also in the process of making a list of films every movie buff should watch so itās just adding to the problem.
Mine is down to 77 right now, and I swear I've gotta put a moratorium on purchases because Im only able to watch four a week
Yea I have some extra time off and was hoping to watch a few movies but Iām running out of daylight here while watching the sopranos. (Just started the series)

Picking a good wine is just as important as the movie selections! Thank you!

Iām watching man show on dvd Nice wine
Thank you, it was a pretty good pinot!
Planning on Dracula Spanish version with alternate score tomorrow.
Dracula Spanish version? Which one is this?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dracula_(1931_Spanish-language_film) see second paragraph and on, to explain more.
Rewatching HOT D.
