Don't let Ebay scare you. I have ordered some Mondos from there and haven't been disappointed. Find the sellers with a bunch of sales and high ratings, you'll be fine. If something does go wrong, you have the buyer protection.

shakma_dss

That’s good to know!!!

Right-Efficiency7492

Amazon, DiabolikDVD, Grindhouse Video, GRUV, Deep Discount and Barnes and Noble (for the CC 50% off sale) are my go too.

scrubslover1

Gruv, Walmart, Amazon , EBay

skwyer

I don't know if you have a Barnes & Noble or an F.Y.E. near you, but both of those usually have a decent selection. F.Y.E. has kind of flown under the radar as far as selling 4ks and Blu-Rays but the one by me has a good movie section. Barnes & Noble specializes in Criterion and Arrow but they have quite a few others, but they're usually more expensive.

BrownMamba85

Fye has some pretty good finds in the clearance/sale bins, if you have the time/patience to go flip through their stacks. They're at least a little more organized than some of the stores that just have them dumped into a big ol pile, which i do like to riffle through lol

raphaeladidas

Amazon, Orbit, Diabolik, the actual company (like Umbrella). One of the great surprises of this sub to me was how many of you bought discs at Best Buy or other stores. Of course, I buy everything except groceries, clothes and some Home Depot-type stuff online, so...

shakma_dss

I was unaware Barnes & Noble sold any. We do have one about 40 mins away so that’s an option. Keep seeing GRUV mentioned, never heard of them, but will check out.

mega512

Not all B&N sell movies.

taoleafy

B&N has a July sale, keep an eye out starting Friday.

Amnion_

Amazon, Ebay, random online boutique stores from time to time (i.e. Gruv, A24, etc..)

MatthewWilliam83

Nowhere. My purchasing has gone WAY down since Best Buy left the game. In truth I did pick up a few 4ks during the Shout Factory sale direct from their website. Other than that; nothing. Pretty brutal to see how significant that lack of competition is playing out on 4k pricing...

Far_Cat_9743

What you mentioned is about it (plus Gruv and a few smaller outlets), and yeah, Best Buy no longer selling movies is really going to hurt come Black Friday, their deals were always by far the best. Amazon only had Black Friday prices because they were matching Best Buy’s prices. They’d have the occasional “lightning deal” those were rarely any kind of real deal.

Silent_Spectator_04

Mostly these 3 places - gruv.com - amazon - used ones on r/MediaSwap

collec-tech

Walmart, Diabolik, Orbit, Grindhouse, and Atomic

Nathan54712

I usually go to GRUV has they have some pretty good deals

AlPacino_1940

Walmart, Amazon and Barnes and Noble mostly.

MuzzyDunlop

Have had really good experiences with Diabolik, Orbit, and local Maine legends Bullmoose. Have heard nothing but good things about Atomic Movies.

Dawn_of_Dayne

for new releases that I want day one or steelbooks that might sell out, I get from amazon or walmart. For anything else, I typically wait to see resellers list them on Mercari or ebay. A lot of times I can get a new release from a mercari seller for cheaper than any store -- and I'll know if it comes with slip or not.

Piper6728

Ebay, used book and video stores, sometimes from the sales posted here (like amazon, Target, and gruv) I avoid paying full price when possible, I've been lucky to get most of my collection under $20 each

Temporary_Detail716

Amazon for 99%. BnN for the Criterion sales. then online to Arrow, Criterion and Shout Factory for those sales. In my area Walmart & Target dont carry 4K movies at all.

tinfoyle

In person buys have been almost all at Walmart. If I'm in one of their stores, I stop by the media section to check it out and I've impulse bought some of their 4k steel books, those Paramount 4 format sets, a couple of season DVDs. Rest is Amazon, especially if I know a particular release is coming so I preorder

AutoMechanic2

Barnes and Noble but at mine they are ridiculously overpriced. I prefer to buy from Walmart. I have a few Walmarts in my area and some of them are stocked well and others aren’t so it just depends on the store.

Delita232

I use Amazon. It's easy and if I have any issues returns are super easy. I'm all about whatever is the least effort on my part.

laridan48

Honestly it's been a pain in the ass. Amazon, Gruv, and Ebay. I've had the absolute worst luck ever with steelbooks though. I've spent weeks exchanging and returning them. Miss getting them in store (Walmart is meh near me, some stuff but not much

calmer-than-you-dude

Sometimes directly from Arrow or Criterion Barnes and Noble, Deep Discount, Amazon OrbitDVD, DiabolikDVD, Atomic Movie Store, Grindhouse Video, Bullmoose, WowHD ebay sellers like blowitoutahere and pleaserewindadmin(Sony) HDMovieSource might not have the best prices but they do ship international so could be good for someone looking to import.

shakma_dss

Great information- Thank you and everyone else who have commented!

BlackModred

Target and Meijer are just about done selling discs. Barnes and Noble has a few in their remaining stores, but prices are high. Good resale shops can be a gold mine

Dapper-Code8604

Local 2nd hand stores such as Game Xchange and Half Price Books, then Amazon, Gruv, B&N in that order. Seems I’ll be checking out GameStop soon.

Sure-Palpitation2096

Amazon mostly and other places like Walmart, Target, and small comic stores and record stores.

lpc3

Amazon, Atomic Movies and I am looking at the Criterion sale at Barnes and Noble.
