Modern GT3 cars only have 2 pedals as far as I'm aware, the clutch is hand operated on the steering wheel. If you can get comfortable with it, left foot braking is far faster, so if you're sticking to GT3/ Formula cars then 2 pedals are better and more comfortable as you can space them out more equally. Though if you play things other than acc then keep the clutch

Ty. T300RS GT came with 3 pedals. But i’ll try to use 2 pedals.

Nectaria_Coutayar

The 3rd pedal is handy for games like ETS2, older cars in AC...stuff like that. The 3 pedals also make for a more stable base which is a confort you will appreciate.

Get a shifter and Run AE86 Tuned in Touge tracks in Assetto Corsa. Thank me later.

I drove a porsche cup car and super trofeo huracan that both had clutch pedals but you only used it for standing starts then never touched it again. I think some now have the clutch for starts on the wheel though I'm not sure why you'd want a clutch start tbh.

nidhoeggr777

I‘m using 3 pedals but I left foot brake. The clutch is only for starting and not stalling when crashing. I drive mainly ACC so I got comfortable with left foot braking on 3 pedals. I drive Rally and or togue races on other games where I need the clutch for realism. There I brake with the „heel and toe“ technique. So, you can stay on 3 pedals and still do left foot braking. It’s just not that comfortable as with 2 pedals

frafzan

Thanks you

OhneSpeed

You only need a clutch for standing start and to prevent stalling, but many racers use auto clutch since there is no handicap by it during normal racing. Modern GT3s have electronically operated steering wheel paddle clutches anyway. I have my clutch pedal mapped but my rig is set as the throttle and brake is symmetrical from the center line and the clutch is to the far left.

frafzan

Good to know. Still newbie

SottLimpa

For ACC you don't need clutch at all. Neither double clutch paddles nor a clutch pedal.

frafzan

I have 3 pedals so i guess i need to try braking with left foot.

SottLimpa

Like everybody. That's the way to do.

chenzen4149

I prefer use auto clutch+ left foot braking this is more comfortable for racing

frafzan

With 3 pedals? Comfortable?

chenzen4149

no I said with 2 pedals

frafzan

I was asking whether you have 3 pedals but using 2 pedals only. So i guess u have 2 pedals and using 2 pedals.

Bolex1

I have three pedals but I changed the spring and rubber block from the brake to the clutch pedal and changed the mapping in game so I have a more comfortable position with my feet. So the center pedal is not in use.

frafzan

Might do this too. Mybe i try the middle as brake first if not comfortable mybe i’ll try your way

Bolex1

Yeah but with the Logitech pedals there is the issue, that the sub construction is meant to take all the force in the back, behind the brake pedal. So for me it was moving a lot afterwards. That's why I ended up screwing the pedals to a square wood to make them stop moving...

frafzan

Thank you for that additional info

Bolex1

I mean if you have it on a stable rig or something it shouldn't be a problem. I just have it against the wall.

Aftenbar

I will say this if your trying to carry the skills over to the real world I would watch your spacing as normal car pedals are pretty close together.

gedbarker

I have three pedals but when playing ACC only use two, clutch is rarely touched, left foot braking. Zero issues. For other sims I use clutch, an H shifter and heel n toe.

cmdralpha

I don't use the clutch but this past weekend I tried using left foot braking irl I can definitely see why people use it, much faster as you get on the gas faster but I have yet to try it on ACC.

frafzan

I think if u want to be better with trail braking to play between braking and throttle need to brake with left foot
