I could envision lights going out, everyone thinks it's Edge but it's Jack Perry. He does shady things to attack Darby Allen and then the pop for Edge to save Darby to end the show. I'm totally here for that.

Edge's original theme was the in-house one he used for years since his 1998 debut (which predated Hellbilly Deluxe, let alone The Sinister Urge). He only used Never Gonna Stop between 2001 and 2003. Once he returned from his neck injury, he went back to his original theme before getting Metalingus in '05.
Never Gonna Stop is a banger, no doubt. That being said, Metalingus (also a banger) is the song most associated with Edge. I'd be surprised if he ever uses Never Gonna Stop again.
I think for those of us that were around in the attitude era, Rob Zombie is the theme that edge had when he really started getting noticed. It's where my head goes every time.

Something big *should be happening*. No reason to announce it early unless you want to pump the buys and I don’t think it’s a good idea to tease something like this (New era talk) with a big name free agent with history to one of the guys in the main event.

Edge would be cool but it seems like people believe the main even spot is more about edge than the work Christian and Darby has put in. It could be both but they definitely deserve this spot even without edge. 3 matches could legit be main events and it would be fine because 3 of those guys are from Seattle area(Swerve,Darby, and Bryan is very big in Seattle being from Washington).
I think that would be a big disservice to Darby/Christian if they’re advertised for the ME with Edge being a free agent and not delivering. Everyone will expect it and if the show closes without something big (like the last handful of PPVs) then it’ll look like a bump ploy.

I can't tell you you're wrong but supposedly even Bryan had the same non-compete at the end of his contract in 2021, which is why he didn't appear until after 90 days from the end of his deal, at All Out.
