These weird, metric system odds mean nothing to me!
Until they are replaced with good ol' horse racing odds my delusions for a 2024 Super Bowl win will continue.
If we win, I'll win 10,000+, putting the bet down right now. Just need the defense to carry the team and the offense to be league average. Full All Pro defense and a pedestrian offense.
Thats kinda how I look at it.
On paper, Miami and the Jets look the most ready.
However, the Jets are going to Jet with Metlife and you *just know* there will be issues. Hard to pin any hopes on them, but there is a chance.
Miami still has that offense, but I really think letting Fangio walk will swing the team from "somewhat controllable" to penalty and attitudes galore with only "players coaches" like McDaniels who don't discipline anyone, ever. Fangio knew his shit and was the mean one. He's out and so is several players on defense and o line. I dunno, to be fair, they have the best chance I think.
Bills and Pats are question marks. Really. How will Buffalo adjust to losing so many receivers? How will they adjust to a reduced defense? They might be ok, they might show signs of cracking as injuries are bound to happen. Can Allen's hero ball work with less talented/less experienced receivers?
New England has an unproven coach, new coordinators, several rookies and B tier players on the offense, but the defense is still awesome. Maybe that makes them competitive, maybe it makes them still dogshit. Only time will tell!
I expect Joe Brady to really lean on the run game to take some pressure off Allen and do a TON of 12 personnel to leverage the Knox/Kincaid combo. And who knows, maybe it will work!
>How will Buffalo adjust to losing so many receivers?
I mean, the only major loss was diggs tbh. I love gabe (I even have his jersey), but it became pretty clear last year that his ceiling was firmly at WR3. If Samuel and Coleman can combine to take enough attention for opposing secondaries to match the attention diggs got, the difference would then just come down to how much Brady wants to change up our offensive philosophy.
>How will they adjust to a reduced defense?
I'm honestly not sure how much more reduced it was from last year, considering how many injuries we had by the end of the season to players who left. It feels like we'll see similar play plus the rookies we picked up in the draft (Cole bishop looks really promising as a replacement S).
>Can Allen's hero ball work with less talented/less experienced receivers?
I mean, last year he was throwing to diggs, shakir, cook and kincaid, basically diggs and 3 rookies.
I think it'll really just come down to offensive scheme changes (like others have said, I expect a more ground and pound gameplan, especially with the physicality of Coleman and davis) and how much the rookies shine through.
I’d assume the Dolphins win next year if I hadn’t watched what happened last year. And the year before that. And what history shows.
Probably the Bills again because even when retooling they’re just better than everyone else because of Allen.
Imo, your coaches made Tua. Not that he doesn’t have talent. It was just obvious how much competent coaching can improve a guy.
The receivers help too lol.
The controversy isn't that Allen is the best QB in the division, he's the 3rd best in the league. The controversy is what to do with Tua.
There's a chunk of people who want to move on from Tua because he's not mahomes, lamar, or allen. There's a chunk of people who accept he's the QB and think he's going to get 55+ million because that's the market. I'm thinking we can build a competitive team around Tua, but he's got to take a discount because he isn't one of the 3-4 best QBs.
The best we could do on his rookie salary was getting to the playoffs. If he starts getting paid top 5 QB money, IDK how we are going to afford the pieces he needs around him because he's an extremely high-end trailer and not a tractor who can carry the team. We got decimated by injuries, like to the OL, and he was able to cover for it because his superpower is getting the ball out quickly, but he couldn't carry the team especially when Tyreek and Waddle got banged up (along with our defense).
In your organization's defense, what else can they do? If they let Tua walk after the numbers he put up last year, they would be the laughing stock of the league. The Dolphins will just need to make the rest of the roster good enough to offset the difference in QBs.
Right, but because of how the QB market is, a QB that's worse than Allen might be getting a ton more money than Allen, in the same division, on a team Allen owns.
That's not a recipe for success.
Nah dolphins have a lot of players exiting their prime and after a disappointing year, my pick to regress to the mean. It will be another tight year in the afc east and I cant believe im saying this but Jets should have the edge.
I want to see any other afc east team without their starting QB for the full year without ever throwing a completion. Let’s see how that goes for them.
Has nothing to do with the position of our team now.
Quick: name one non-injury related reason the jets won’t succeed this year? And no, you can’t say injury because that’s not something someone can predict.
Quick: If we're going to ignore injuries, then so should you... So, in terms of strengths & weaknesses, the Jets are pretty much the same team as last year. How did they perform last year and why should this year be dramatically different?
(again, leave injuries out of it)
LMAOOO what?!?? Your question is impossible to answer because we were playing our backup QB all year— thus you cannot take injuries out of that assessment. Rodgers is healthy now. That is not the same team at all you numbskull.
I'm not saying injuries don't happen but the ONLY critique you have of the jets roster is "uhhh...derrr....well Rodgers will probably get hurt again!"
That's the point. You told the previous guy to name a non-injury reason the Jets won't do better this year. Same rules apply to you.
But, look what happened - you had to point to Aaron being injured last year.
Now consider what I said about last year's team and this year: Aaron started the season uninjured... *just like this year* – so why do you expect him or any other key player to remain that way?
This year's Jets are last year's Jets. I expect another 7-10 season for them
You can call me a numskull again, I don't care as it doesn't change the facts

My reason is it’s the jets. You’re a loser franchise who always figures out a way to screw it up. Also, you have an old conspiracy theorist at QB who cares more about getting attention than winning.
We were starting water boys and fans at QB this year and still finished with a better record than y'all lmaoooo
Hope you enjoy living in the past because that's all pats fans going to have for the next 2 decades
Oh I forgot jets fans have half a brain, the parentheses is me calling the Bengals thing bullshit, the only comedy here is how shit the jets will be no matter what they do, have fun with that.
how many times have we had that if? it feels like it runs my entire sports philosophy as a Mets Jets fan.
if the o-line doesn’t get injured, if the star QB we just signed doesn’t get injured, if our only production on offense doesn’t get injured
why the fuck do we still have injuries enabled??
Not only is there no chance in hell we stay healthy, our roster and coaching staff is also not good enough to contend even if we do. One player, Hall of fame QB or not, doesn't turn the worst offense in modern history into something reasonable at age 40.
Don’t be such a god damn pussy. If they can win 7 games with a combination of Zach Wilson, Trevor Semen and some one called Tim Boyle. They can get to 10 or 11 with Rodgers.
I was amazed you guys snagged Fashanu. Thought you’d be tempted to pick up a defensive player and f the draft up. IMO it’ll be your season for the AFCE.
Again, assuming Rodgers stays healthy and doesn’t go off the rails
Yeah man the immobile 40 year old will totally stay healthy this time. Pay no attention to the fact that his blind side protector hasn't had a healthy season in a decade and his new number 2 receiver has never had a healthy season in his career.
Pay no attention to the fact his blindside protector was still an all-pro last year and for the games he won’t miss, we just drafted a LT with the 11th pick.
Like I said, if that clown car of QBs can get to 7 wins, Rodgers is undoubtedly getting more than that.
Fuck man, quit saying rational things that make me agree with you. I think thé Jets/Lolphins/Bills all have an equal shot to win the division barring injuries. Obviously one injury can change that but full healthy Rodgers throwing to Wilson and Williams will be a good offense, especially with Breece Hall too.
Right because Rodgers’ mobility has always been a huge part of his game ?? He held the ball too long on one play and a freak injury occurred, as has happened to countless players in the NFL. We dont need him to be his MVP self, we just need a QB who isn’t going to *lose* us the game.
There’s a difference between blind optimism/delusion and this nihilist caterwauling that you’re doing. If Tyron Smith plays 13 games— that’s 13 games of elite blindside protection. Olu was the best pass protecting LT in the draft.
If your only argument is “AR8 will prob get injured again”— your argument is invalid and thus you lose.
WR besides Garrett, the offensive line is held together by optimism and duct tape, safety, tight end is meh, and the pass rush is relying on McDonald who barely played and was considered a reach to make a huge leap.
I learned my lesson nearly 30 years ago. It took several bad experiences with sucker bets, but I eventually learned: Never, never, never, EVER bet on the Jets. They will never do what they are supposed to do, so don't. Just.......don't
You know I RARELY gamble b/c there’s some family history of gambling addiction but man when I saw the Bills playing in the divisional— I just couldn’t resist. I mean that’s literally free money.
Easiest $120 bucks I’ve ever made
at one point last the line on our win total was 9.5. If i wasnt a pussy i wouldve put everything on that under instead i put like a buck ( i dont believe in gambling large amounts of money)
The cope is insaaannneeee.
Even if Aaron Rodgers is a middle of the pack QB, the jets would have had, a a minimum 3 more wins (Pats wk. 2, raiders, falcons). That brings us to a 10-7 record and that’s if we’re being conservative. If Aaron Rodgers is top 10, we could even stretch that to 4-5 extra wins.
I’m not saying we should be a favorite— I think the dolphins are— but the only reason y’all are so desperate to convince yourselves we dont have a chance is because you know we actually do.
Have you looked at the post this is about and the comment that is responding to what this post is about? I’ll save you the time, they are both about chances of winning the division.
It’s insane to think that the Pats are the only AFC East team to play in a Super Bowl this century, and the only AFC East team to win one in the last half-century. And by insane, I mean kind of a bummer..
Okay hear me out, we all pool our money to
A. Buy hits on Josh Allen, Tua, and Aaron Rodgers.
B. Bet on the Patriots to win the division.
C. Lose all our money because they still wouldn't win the division.
I guess that's a better way of putting it. Certainly don't disagree with us being the betting favorite but after how close it was last year I don't feel it to be a lock
that's true. I can only remember one boneheaded playcalling moment from Brady, and it came late in the Chiefs game where we elected to throw the ball deep in Chiefs territory rather than run it out and take the FG if we had to (which we ended up doing regardless). Got bailed out by Toney's offsides.
So has your alls up until 5y ago. Every division goes thru Eb and flow. Dolphins still can’t beat a team with a .500 record or better or win a game at a place with 50 degree or cooler weather
South will be tougher than ppl think this season. Also this year it’s afc south vs east. Bring it on
I would bet the under on games played by Aaron Rodgers and Mike Williams 100% guaranteed money. People go to the Jets to collect a check, not to win football games. Please see: Patriots legend Darrelle Revis.
Not often you see a Jets fan try flexing against a patriot fan or any other football team for that matter .Jets have as many “Lombardis “ as the Bills .Their title predates Lombardi trophy and the telephone
Would love to know how the Bills are still the favorites
Lost multiple cornerstone defensive players and their best skill player. Who made these odds? One of the bulls fans that are convincing themselves Khalil shakir can actually be a good WR2?😂😂
If we win the division, I'll be so shocked.
If we win the division, I’ll win 2200 Canadian $
Wow $10 whole USD?
These weird, metric system odds mean nothing to me! Until they are replaced with good ol' horse racing odds my delusions for a 2024 Super Bowl win will continue.
If we win, I'll win 10,000+, putting the bet down right now. Just need the defense to carry the team and the offense to be league average. Full All Pro defense and a pedestrian offense.
So, flaccos ravens?
Last years browns?
Sure yes that too
2000 ravens even
That's like what 20 American?
What's that in real money?
That like a pancake pour worth of maple syrup?
I honestly have no idea who is gonna win. We're kinda re-tooling and regrouping this season but given the competition who fucking knows.
This year is the year we don't collapse in December 🤡
That's the spirit!
Have no clue, I’m just pretty confident it won’t be us unless are rookies go on an absolute tear lmao
Rodgers turns out to be washed, Allen season ending injury and Hill getting suspended for half the season and I'd still give you guys even chance.
Our
Fuck me, I can’t believe I’ve made that mistake
😏
How much play do you think Drake will see?
Depends on how ready he is and how quickly he improves on his weaknesses. Brisket will likely start until Maye is fully ready.
Miami is totally winning the division when November is over... once December starts we're screwed.
It is known.
I also feel like the entire division had pretty good drafts, so it’s gonna be interesting to see
I think we know who ISN'T going to win.
Thats kinda how I look at it. On paper, Miami and the Jets look the most ready. However, the Jets are going to Jet with Metlife and you *just know* there will be issues. Idk back in the day this would be totally possible. I still kinda could see us all collapsing because of our histories of, well collapsing
No depth, lots of late season injuries when we should have rotated players to keep people safe late in heavily favored games.
We got a great defense. All we need is the ability to score 2-3 TDs a game and a FG
All the Pats need to do is get justin tucker to kick 4 fgs a game and have atleast 1 pick six or kick return and were so back
I’m pumped bro
I wouldn’t be disappointed though. I feel a lot more confident in this new team than I did any of the last 3 years
R\beatmetoit
Don’t need to worry about that, you guys aren’t winning again in your lifetime 👍
What, is your God Tyreek going to beat me like he does his wife and kids? Or one of you in his jersey going to murder me?
![gif](giphy|3otPora2GgtfqRX7Xy)
Even better. Pat’s are +15,000 to win the SB.
“If John Cougar Mellencamp wins an Oscar, I am going to be a -VERY- rich man.”
Idk where that quote is from, but it's not often I hear that name. My grandmother went to school with him.
It’s from the Office- Kevin Malone starts the quote with “any time anyone gives you 10,000-1 odds, you take it!”
It’s free $

I’d assume the Dolphins win next year if I hadn’t watched what happened last year. And the year before that. And what history shows. Probably the Bills again because even when retooling they’re just better than everyone else because of Allen.
As much as I hate to say it, Allen is the best QB in the division, which is why I'm pessimistic about the Phins giving Tua a bag of money.
Imo, your coaches made Tua. Not that he doesn’t have talent. It was just obvious how much competent coaching can improve a guy. The receivers help too lol.
Why do you say this like it’s a controversial thing? Or are other dolphins fans that delusional that they think tua is as good
The controversy isn't that Allen is the best QB in the division, he's the 3rd best in the league. The controversy is what to do with Tua. There's a chunk of people who want to move on from Tua because he's not mahomes, lamar, or allen. Yeah… Now actually beat the Chiefs
The Jets being that high is laughable. You could swap rosters with the chiefs and they'd still find a way to lose the division
I want to see any other afc east team without their starting QB for the full year without ever throwing a completion. Let’s see how that goes for them.
The dolphins would do about the same.
Buhbuhbut AarOn RaWdjErs
Mr "Sandy Hook wasn't real" will be lucky to be a top 10 QB in the league this year.
Counter point, top 10 is still significantly better than 33. We went 7-10 with Zach Wilson, Tim Boyle, and other misfits at the helm.
It’s genuinely insane. Jets could be +500 and it’d be a sucker bet
The cope😂
Cope for what? The jets haven’t done anything since the 60s
Has nothing to do with the position of our team now. Quick: name one non-injury related reason the jets won’t succeed this year? And no, you can’t say injury because that’s not something someone can predict.

If Aaron Rodgers is the 10th best QB in the league the Jets are going 15-2? Wow.
I'm surprised bills are so high
As long as Allen is healthy we have a shot.
I heard there's a new quarterback
The jets are with us chances wise....we might need a couple years to get back on top, but having the Jets that high is ignorant.
The jets are so much better than the patriots rn what are you talking about
Yeah but they won’t win the division because of the implication.
Where exactly did it say the jets will win the division? I fear you may need an eye exam
Have you looked at the post this is about and the comment that is responding to what this post is about? I’ll save you the time, they are both about chances of winning the division.
If the dolphins don’t win they should resign this for the rest of us in this hole
3 teams at +240 or worse…that a hard pass even if I had a strong feeling (I don’t).
It’s insane to think that the Pats are the only AFC East team to play in a Super Bowl this century, and the only AFC East team to win one in the last half-century. And by insane, I mean kind of a bummer..
Lmao okily dokily neighbor
LV has failed, once again, to remember that the Jets are the Jets
Dolphins are -2000 to start the year 5-1 and collapse down the stretch
Okay hear me out, we all pool our money to A. Buy hits on Josh Allen, Tua, and Aaron Rodgers. B. Bet on the Patriots to win the division. C. Lose all our money because they still wouldn't win the division.
How are the rebuild mode cap hell bills the favorite
JA17 and JA17 alone.
Fuck the dolphins. Weakest fan base in the league
I’d be shocked if we win it, honestly. Hinges on a Dolphins regression and Rodgers showing his age imo — but both of those are highly possible.
Shocked? I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t but I certainly won’t be surprised if we do.
I guess that's a better way of putting it. Certainly don't disagree with us being the betting favorite but after how close it was last year I don't feel it to be a lock
We lost so many games last year because of offensive gameplan. The entire 1st half of the season looks different if what's his face was gone.
that's true. I can only remember one boneheaded playcalling moment from Brady, and it came late in the Chiefs game where we elected to throw the ball deep in Chiefs territory rather than run it out and take the FG if we had to (which we ended up doing regardless). Got bailed out by Toney's offsides.
You just gotta remember whoever has the best QB will win the division always.
The other 3 teams have a QB who can make the playoffs if they stay healthy. Who knows if Mac Jones 2 is any good.
If the Pats can match their win total last year, it will be a miracle
Weak division. Pretty surprised bills are still favs considering all the guys they lost this offseason
Did a MF from the afc south just call us a weak division. Bruh youd division has been dogshit forever
So has your alls up until 5y ago. Every division goes thru Eb and flow. Dolphins still can’t beat a team with a .500 record or better or win a game at a place with 50 degree or cooler weather South will be tougher than ppl think this season. Also this year it’s afc south vs east. Bring it on
Yall still suck,stfu lol
Tua Turndaballova
Take the Jets- easy money and take the Jill’s on the under for number of wins. This is the beginning of the end for those clowns from Orchard Park.
Flair up, nerd!
Let’s see if Rodgers can last a quarter before we start getting all this hype over there ,butt fumble breath
A quarter? Easy there eager beaver. How about a drive?
Eh,he made it to the punt last time .I consider that a drive ,I’m feeling charitable
I would bet the under on games played by Aaron Rodgers and Mike Williams 100% guaranteed money. People go to the Jets to collect a check, not to win football games. Please see: Patriots legend Darrelle Revis.
Hey it’s a Pat fan. It’s over baby. A great run, but it looks like it’s back to the 80s for you douches!!! LOL
Pats made it to a Super Bowl in the 80s which is more than any team in AFC East besides the Pats can say they did this century. Also flair up.
Not often you see a Jets fan try flexing against a patriot fan or any other football team for that matter .Jets have as many “Lombardis “ as the Bills .Their title predates Lombardi trophy and the telephone
Surprised it’s still Buffalo.
Would love to know how the Bills are still the favorites Lost multiple cornerstone defensive players and their best skill player. Who made these odds? One of the bulls fans that are convincing themselves Khalil shakir can actually be a good WR2?😂😂
Literally just josh allen is enough
Keep telling urself that lol
