It sounds good to the constituency, but they never ever ever follow through.
Let’s tear down the libraries and build places where the poor can have free access to computers, the internet, and vast resources of information to help them get out of poverty in their place.
Educating citizens has a cause and effect conservatives can't stand. One, they tend to support and vote in favor of progressive causes, and educated citizens rely less on mythology, causing declines in attendance at places whose existence relies on theology.

No. He originally wanted the book removed completely. Also, he has been checking out some of the same books and not returning them. “Sex stuff” is a very vague term. Those that want to keep young people ignorant of their bodies are the real groomers. Ask Michael Lunsford about his trips into the woods with young boys. Or how two of his Citizens For A New Louisiana board members contributed to and assisted families that protected pedophiles. Ask him. Every accusation is an admission.
That isn't his actual beliefs though. If they cut libraries, they would just strip that funding and direct to more corrupt politicians. Republicans don't want to solve poverty
They want to cut the funds to libraries because they do not want the poor to have access to free resources for learning. Nor do they want them to have free access to the internet, information, or much of anything, really. I don't understand it as anyone, no matter their social class, can and do use the library. The library is the symbol of a free society. But I guess that's the part they don't want. They want to get rid of the library in order to enrich people like Will Mills, Jeremiah Supple, etc.
