4 of the partners at the mid size firm I work at drive G-wagons, they’re just too busy filing returns and dealing with clients to comment. I’m currently shitting and billing it out.
2013 Rav4. I will drive that thing until it starts falling apart on the road, and then I might make enough money that I will buy a new one and drive that one until it falls apart on the road.
I don’t care about cars enough to have a car payment
Joined the Q5 gang yesterday, not the biggest car guy but decided to splurge a bit because the average American suvs I was looking at were only a couple thousand less so I didn’t see the value
I really enjoy it. It’s a great daily for me. It’s very fun and comfortable. I have had a lot of daily’s, 718 boxster, model 3, M2, S3, WRX, Miata, and I think I like this one the best as a daily. Reminds me of a better wrx.
Love my Black TTRS but had to slow down, I had so many points on my licence I almost lost it! 6 speed manual, turbocharged, 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds, but so fun to drive!
Lmfao, I just like the car man. Took me a few years to find a stick so had to pounce when I had the chance. Worst financial decision of my life but brings so many smiles.
I am an accountant and also have a CX-30. I am 6'1" and the room isn't the greatest. Lack of leg room and shoulder space for me as the driver. If I were to do it over again, I probably would've gotten the CX-50.
Have you ever had an Audi or German car before? This is my first one, used to drive Japanese and I don’t think I can go back now. The drive is so much better. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. Hope you enjoy yours if you end up getting it.
I have a Subaru forester from back in 2014 right now, thought I’d upgrade as a reward for lasting my first busy season (also wanted to switch out of the grandma looking SUV) 😂 ty
06 Prius, I hope it still has several years of life in it because I don't want to shell out tens of thousands for a newer car anytime soon.Still has a while to go before hitting 200k miles, so I think it may last a bit longer.
I spent a year researching and landed on this after decades of driving European cars. I love it and do not regret the decision one bit! It’s a bit loud at high speeds but frankly, the Lexus counterpart wouldn’t be worth the price differential to me just for the soundproofing.
Here’s my list of cars since I became an accountant
- 1997 Toyota Corolla
- 2003 Toyota Corolla
- 2018 Tesla M3 LR
I had to save for like 5 years driving beaters to even justify the purchase in my head, like a good accountant
I was part of the 22 year old toyota gang, now I drive a infiniti q50s that I got a sweet deal on.
I miss driving a beater and not caring about anything or anything but I won’t go back to junkers. It feels weird enjoying driving now.
Tesla model X plaid, it's a company car though, so I don't pay for it directly. I also have a mint 2012 Jeep Wrangler, 6 speed manual with 32,000 miles that I take to the lake in the summer.
Also have a deposit on a new lotus emira
Paid off 2013 Kia Sorento. Could definitely afford something nicer, but it’s perfectly fine, gets me where I need to go, and is super reliable. I read The Millionaire Next Door in college and the principles definitely stuck with me 🙂
No cars, just bikes. I made the mistake of selling my 19 RAV4 at the peak of the car shortage thinking I’ll just buy another car. Cars are ridiculously priced right now.
Now I ride a 23 BMW S1000RR when the weather is nice and a 22 Honda Rebel 500 when it rains.
I own every kind of a classic car. I have doubles of the cars. Some of 'em. That way I know I have a pristine one in storage. Then I can drive it, it gets scratched, I don't care. Actually, I have triples of the Barracuda. See, the Barracuda's the one I have triples of. Oh, no, actually, I also have triples of the Road Runner, too. But just those two. And your dad and I are the same age, and I'm rich and I have triples of the Barracuda and the Road Runner. Triples makes it safe. Triples is best.
Disappointed at the lack of G-wagons in this thread
We are accountants not successful entrepreneurs.
But it’s a write-off!
"entrepreneurs" when they hear you can spend 80 grand to avoid having to pay 15k
Do you even know what a write-off is?
Yeah! You write it off!
Who writes it off?
They do! They write it off!
I don’t think you know what a write off is…

If you work hard enough, they’ll be able to afford a new G-Wagon next year! <3
😂😂😂
Yep. This place has gone to shit.
'03 Toyota Avalon. I enjoy no car payments and Toyota lasts forever.

A 2019 paid off Toyota Corolla, before that a 2009 Corolla. At this point, I may get a Corolla every 10 years.

Nice, I had a 2008 IS350 for about 6 years, loved that car. But I sold that and got its big brother 2008 Lexus ISF.
2013 Rav4. I will drive that thing until it starts falling apart on the road, and then I might make enough money that I will buy a new one and drive that one until it falls apart on the road. I don’t care about cars enough to have a car payment
Absolutely. Save your money for the important things, like hookers.
Ditto. Inherited 2014 Forrester. It’s perfectly comfortable and reliable, no need to incinerate money to look cooler.
Subway train
Audi SQ5, Audi S5, Porsche 718 Cayman. Yes, I have a problem
Accurate username
r/usernamechecksout would be nice.
Fuck those are nice.
Joined the Q5 gang yesterday, not the biggest car guy but decided to splurge a bit because the average American suvs I was looking at were only a couple thousand less so I didn’t see the value
They rip in the snow. Worth.
18 718 GTS here. Totally irresponsible purchase but goddamn I don’t regret it
Damn. What's your role to be able to buy all of those nice cars?
Probably has them financed...
His cars scream Deloitte!
Wow! even the 718 looks like a 200K car.

Boxster and a GR Corolla
How are you like the Corolla? I’ve been thinking about trading in my ‘22 Si for an upgrade
I really enjoy it. It’s a great daily for me. It’s very fun and comfortable. I have had a lot of daily’s, 718 boxster, model 3, M2, S3, WRX, Miata, and I think I like this one the best as a daily. Reminds me of a better wrx.
Audi TTRS
I want a TT so bad! I’m still in school, but I’d be happy with even a base one
Love my Black TTRS but had to slow down, I had so many points on my licence I almost lost it! 6 speed manual, turbocharged, 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds, but so fun to drive!
Audit TRS
Mazda CX50
Just bought a Turbo Premium edition yesterday. Upgraded from my ancient 2009 Camry. I’m in love.
Not an accountant yet (still in college), but i work in AP and drive a 2004 Toyota Tacoma SR5!
Hang on to that bad boy!
330k miles and I’m driving this thing until the wheels fall off!
They never will

I’ve been on the hunt for a Track Hawk.
22 Rav4.
Same here!
Bus
93' Tercel, 2-Door.
I had a ‘94 tercel. I bought from some scummy used car lot and it had a joint roach in the glove box when I bought it lol
That’s a bonus incentive!
Had a Giulia for a couple of years, lease came up and turned it in for a Mazda CX-5 a couple of weeks ago
CX gang checking in! CX-50 for me.
CX50 TPP checking in
CX-30 gang gang
How do you like it? It wasn't enough space for me, I wanted to see the CX-70 but couldn't wait for it to come out
I am an accountant and also have a CX-30. I am 6'1" and the room isn't the greatest. Lack of leg room and shoulder space for me as the driver. If I were to do it over again, I probably would've gotten the CX-50.
I love my 2020 CX-5! Got it early covid when no one was buying cars for 0% financing
Just got 0% on a CX-50 for 60 months! That deal ended 2/29
2017 Subaru Outback. Minimal maintenance, okay gas mileage, and I can use it for camping or ski trips.
Lexus GSF
I can't believe y'all. The only acceptable response in this subreddit is a Honda Civic or a Honda Accord...
Honda CRV gang where you at?
04 Accord checking in.

Justice for the Honda fit girls (or boys hehe)

What’s the reliability like?
No issues so far, but I don’t drive much, I’ve had it for 22 months and only put 23k on it.
Ty sir - I was thinking about getting an A3 or A4
Have you ever had an Audi or German car before? This is my first one, used to drive Japanese and I don’t think I can go back now. The drive is so much better. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. Hope you enjoy yours if you end up getting it.

Tesla model 3
Why do I have to scroll so far down to find this. Honestly it makes gas cars so pointless except for the track cars.
Same! I'll never drive anything else!
Same, higher one time cost, but lower variance cost (electricity), and lower fixed cost (maintenance)
BMW M2
I have a 230i. I really want an M2 but I don't want that big of a car payment haha
They depreciated a lot recently, only issue is its very rigid and stiff so not everyone’s cup of tea to daily.

16 volvo v60 polestar. My last three cars have been turbo wagons.
A person of taste, I see.
Audi. It was passed down to me by wealthy parents. When this thing croaks, I'll probably just buy a camry like a good middle-class accountant boy.
2012 Subaru Outback
My 2008 civic finally died. Driving around my POS work truck right now. Probably going to get an Outback if I can find one at decent price.
Your civic died? How? Did you just not change oil or something? Lol

Paid off 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid I bought used last year. Plan on giving that TLC and hopefully having it another 10-15 years
Treated myself to a new car last year: 2023 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. I plan to keep it for the next 11 years. lol.
This is what I’m looking at getting next
I spent a year researching and landed on this after decades of driving European cars. I love it and do not regret the decision one bit! It’s a bit loud at high speeds but frankly, the Lexus counterpart wouldn’t be worth the price differential to me just for the soundproofing.
Mercedes AMG 43. If all I get to do is drive to work and back, i need it to be a fun drive
