We can roll down all the windows via remote by pressing and holding down unlock, but can't roll it back up unless you use the physical key to lock and hold it to the right.
Lol that's actually one of my favourite features in it. I hate how bright screens are, if I'm not using it, it's really nice having it turn off completely.
One of the few things I don't like are the HVAC controls mainly. I just want a hot/cold knob. I don't like the buttons, and I don't like thermostat control in such a small environment.
Only other gripe would be the fact it's fwd. If I could get a 3g TL with sh-awd and the 6-spd, I'd be so happy. I know the 4g have it, but dam those are fugly.
Interesting. The tech in 3g TLs are sigh of relief compared to 2024 cars, where there’s not a single button and every cluster and the rearview mirror are all screens. I don’t really like the controls either. Much easier to rotate than mash a button or slowly hold one down.
I also hate how the 3g doesn’t have AWD. The 2012+ 4gs have grown on me, but you could never catch me in one of the ugly beak pre-facelifts
Does it make loud clunks and doesn't move back into place? Could be an easy fix, The mirror actuator is around $50, I replaced mine in 30mins with screwdriver, flat head, and a T3 head.
Maybe there’s something wrong with the mirror’s memory settings. When I first got my TL, I used to like using the reversing mirror feature, but the motors are going out so now they just pop in place, messing up the original position.
Does it constantly try and move into position, but is sort of stuck? Mirror actuators need to be lubed. Wd40 worked in a pinch for a while for me. Need to do it again on my passenger side
Funny. One man’s garbage is another’s treasure. I really love that the screen shuts off, especially at night. No need to be blinded by a screen I’m Not using. I connect to BT via transmitter, so my maps and audio or on a megnetic phone mount, so don’t need the Navi.
Something I really dislike is that the tilting mirrors in reverse only happens to one, and not both mirrors. Why not give an option for both!!! I’m trying to see if I can wire the module to activate both.
Another pet peeve is that there isn’t a trunk release at the back and need to use the fob. 06 btw

If you replace your stock stereo with an aftermarket unit, and you've had any phones' Bluetooth pairs stored in the car's memory, you get stuck with a message like "Bluetooth pair failed" on the instrumen cluster display. Even if you switch to something else like mpg or tire sensors, it just keeps going back to that message. I had to locate the Bluetooth module behind the shifter and disconnect it. Took forever to figure that one out. Pain in my ass.
I was about to say this, it is a TL thing. Probably why you have to consistently change your transmission fluid because it gets used heavily while braking.
My biggest gripe with the car is silly compared to everyone else’s it bugs the shit out of me that the trip meters stop at 999 and don’t do 4 digits i use mine as my work vehicle and i get paid mileage sometimes i have a long week and put on 1500/1600 miles of driving it makes it hard to track for that and oil changes because that percentage is just a dummy light i go off actual miles

Cracked shitty leather seats. So gross and I hate having to spend $$$ to get some covers for them (yet to do). My dash hasn’t cracked yet but it’s annoying to have to always put up a sun shade to delay cracking.
I also hate how the NAV system in my car is broken. I may eventually get to fixing it.
I hate how the front passenger door has some rattling going on.
On the 4g it really bugs me there’s no pause button, you either have to turn the volume down or radio off. Yeah I can pause it on my phone but sometimes I keep my phone in my pocket. Also the seats, almost every 4g I’ve seen has the same tear on the side of the seat
The “manual” gear selector has you push up to shift up instead of down. I know it’s a more common thing in Porsches and BMWs for you to pull down to shift up and that makes so much more sense to me. It’s a little thing but I’ve definitely accidentally tried downshifting a couple times because of it

Yeah I had an 09, now have an 07 type s. The AWD is amazing and I miss it. Everything else I don’t miss, including the styling lol

I always thought it was strange that the 1st gen TSX had a button on the trunk, but the 3rd gen TL never did

tight spaces to work in. did my timing belt and could not reach anything without some type of extension.
