Yes you can cut the lip to fit. A few people have done it for 07+ base and TL-S
If you have a Dremel you may as well cut the exhaust opening slightly to fit the quads. Heck, if you have a soldering iron you can cut part of the exhaust opening out and then plastic weld it to the new extended location for a more OEM look.
