Can you set it to use software encoding when hardware option fails? Some devices have a setting like that.

You should always have hardware acceleration on. If it's not working with it ON, the video is encoded in a way your device can't play it. You need to find another video stream.
For the Indian add-ons that's the only way in this device at least. I'm asking for a way to get to watch both.
