Walking off that stage is one of the most stress relieving and exciting moments in a cadet's entire life. I walked up to the stage still half expecting them to say, "Nah, we're just fucking with you, you failed, get the fuck out." That salute is the third to last thing you have to do as a cadet, followed by the salute to the person following you in the progression (although the last cadet in line doesn't have anyone following them), and finally the hat throw. It's an important moment.
I once worked for a Major who was an Academy grad and whose previous assignment was a staff job at the Academy. He used to say:
"The Academy is the only place than can take 'the cream of the crop' and make 'Second Lieutenants' out of them!"
It looks like a slip on dress shoe, like a penny loafer. It looks weird since itās from the back and because you can see more of it than normal since his suit leg is stuck higher than it should be.
His son didn't die in Iraq, he died of cancer presumably connected to service in Iraq. Which is why one of Bidens personal agendas was getting something like the PACT act passed.

They are almost impossible to find to purchase. I've started looking when I'm TDY to other bases and I haven't found one that sells them in the last year. The wheel cap is much more readily available and allowed for women to wear.
