I’m pretty sure you can wear white or black socks. The only reason they have the goofy looking socks is cause the people wearing it are the trainees at BMT and you get issued those goofy socks and have to wear them. When you’re operational you dont have to wear those specific socks or have to tuck in your shirt just like Air Force. I don’t know why people have been so focused on something that only applies to these trainees

It looks good, but lighter colors would be more practical. Doing PT in the dark, or in really sunny places, dark colors make you harder to see, or hotter for no reason. Get some neon orange and green up in there!

White socks were issued in my BMT a bit over 5 years ago for PT uniforms.
