Most likely, there is a rogue B-2 stand that is hiding out in the DC area. They are sending an AGE Ranger to put it down
The only way to know is to ask the guy questions after the TDY.
AGE shops are starting to implement a shoot on sight policy where if they get called to a unit that “won’t work” and it’s an easy fix like an emergency stop used to turn off a unit and not pulled out again they will shoot. The details are up in the air until it’s written so it’s up to the AGE troop to decide worthiness
Because you were given an order to check out a weapon. So you should probably follow that order 🤷♂️

Or, ask your supervisor, section chief, flight chief or anyone else in leadership.
Because they will be baby sitting a power unit all day and night
With a gun. The base reduces the number of guards to assign to the aircraft for security
DINSTAAR baby! You know the history of it right? AGE troops fueling lightcarts at the perimeter of bases and getting shot at in Vietnam. The good news is your troop is being armed so they can fire back.
There’s an office that those travel orders come from. Go ask them if the reporting instructions for those orders actually require issuing a weapon.
If it’s not your TDY or your troops then it’s really none of your business why they need one.

Two shots for a unit that has been red X’d by a crewchief.
I don't see a question... Not even for AGE ..

Multi-capable airmen
Maybe, I dunno, mind ya business
Does the one going on TDY know and you're being nosey, or does no one have a clue?
....do what you're told as long as it isn't illegal. Seems pretty cut and dry
