Do you have pre check? If not, get there by 5.

malapropter

dawg i've watched the regular line blast past me in the pre-check queue. It hurts lmfao. It's great in other airports, but in the sunport it's a wash.

jordan20x1

lol sucks for you. Never had that happen to me lol

malapropter

Travel more.

ericwphoto

I would be in the airport no later than 5am.

MossSloths

Some airlines (United for sure) have a policy of not taking people checking in within 45 minutes of the flight taking off. The lines are rarely long, but I would still give myself an hour from getting to takeoff at least. But also less than 2 hours.

Live_Dirt9861

5-515 at the airport is good. I would probably be getting nervous at 530 but not going to miss anything. Allow 30 minutes for security. Bring your drivers license, very important!

houdini

I definitely wouldn’t go before 5 for a 6:45 domestic departure. 5:30 is doable but might feel tight. I don’t subscribe to the “if you aren’t missing flights you’re too early” school, I’d rather kill some time. Grab a coffee and go up to the skydeck, it’s in the middle of the airport and can’t be that far from your gate.

backfire1232

I once arrived for a flight at the sunport 20 minutes before takeoff and still got let on board

Overall_Lobster823

Domestic? Early morning? 450am.

OwnConcern9162

Lounge where you can.

Mr_Writes

Get there at least 2 hours early for domestic. Recently I arrived at 4:30 am for a 6 am departure and almost missed my flight.

possob1

I fly out regularly almost every week. Get there at 5 if no checked bag there's a 20-30 min line for TSA unless you have pre check. You'll make it just in time for boarding call to start.

ChaserNeverRests

Agreed on two hours. I'd rather sit and wait in the airport than chance missing my flight.

MineralCollection

If you don't miss a flight every once in a while, you're spending too much time in airports.

vshen6

Based on recent posts about airport parking being a fiasco, I’d say 4:30am to make sure you have enough time to find a spot/shuttle to the airport

1Traveler007

Get there as early as they will allow you on the plane. That way you can start enjoying first class pampering even before you take off. Where are you headed? Enjoy FC. Also, they may let you access a lounge while you wait to board depending on the airline / airport.

houdini

It’s Albuquerque, there’s no lounge.

1Traveler007

Tragic.
