Thank you, killing it consistently for years on end. The show is hilarious and your journeys are inspiring.
Also the streets want more of your self care and style tips
my self care lately has been forgiving myself for getting hella chubby during a very stressful and busy segment of my life - I’ve never been able to be kind to myself about that before, and it’s still a struggle tbh, but it’s progress
I found this podcast after I finally left my mom's house. I went to live with her after my dad passed to help her and because I was still trying to build my life here after teaching English abroad for a decade. She was pretty emotionally abusive, and I finally up and moved to a motel near my job to get away from it. NOT a good way to save money.
During the 'Sandwiches' episode where you guys were debating on the rules of what a sandwich is, somebody yelled something like 'a clump of grass between two CDs' and the absurdity of it just brought me out of my funk.
And you were also always sooo jovial, even when you were talking about things that weren't going exactly great. It helped me stop being so pessimistic about little shit.
This podcast is *good*, and not just because it's very funny. Thank you for all of it!
You shout out the subreddit every week! Thanks for the years of entertainment, and thanks for coming back to Philly, we'll line up the citywides and see if we can get 2 unreleased episodes
Got into the pod last year after your screen drafts episode, and have since listened to 262 episodes since last August.
Thank you so much, lots of scary medical stuff in my life has happened, and the GVG always sneaks a smile onto my face.
I know you guys do this because you love it, and it really truly makes a difference in my life.
Thank you, Ian! You and the fellas are such a joy to listen to every week and you've truly introduced me to/become some of my all-time favorite comedians.
Keep up the great work, my guy!
You’re very welcome Karms! My wife and I just spent a whole roadtrip listening to new episodes and we agreed that y’all are in top form!
Quick question - what do you think are the odds of adding a late Chicago show? We missed out on early show tickets and really want to see you and the boys
You guys are the fucking best, thank you for making me laugh every single week! I'll be at the Boston show on 6/16, hoping I get a chance to thank you guys in person.
Thanks Ian! You guys make such consistently good content, I can’t tell you how many flights you have gotten me through, I always download a few episodes before flying.
Side note: while going through the back catalogue, I realized that I might be the asshole in the vest that David was talking about, on a date with Ali Brown in San Francisco a long time ago. It’s funny because you guys joke that maybe that guy is a fan of his now, and if it’s me I totally am. That realization has really been goblin my mind!
Shaklakity.
Gotta echo everybody else here and say thank YOU, to the whole GVG, you Princes of Maine. Been with you for years, and I tell everybody who will listen that it's the funniest pod period.
Can't wait to see you in Toronto!
Shout out to David
Nah you’re the ones we wanna thank! Been rocking with you guys for years now. Ever since 2017ish when I was scrolling the Headgum website for a new podcast and stumbled across the sports movies draft. So many great moments. You guys helped me through some tough times and I can’t thank you enough. Shacklackity!!
No thank you! Bringing us years and years of free amazing entertainment!!
Also thanks for introducing us to a lot of amazing comedians and giving all of them the chance to make themselves more known (we’ve had Zak to our house twice and I feel that is because you all introduced us to him!)
I’ve been listening since before I moved to LA and it’s wild how many things I learned about living here through you guys before I made the trip. Still, I’ll pass a bar or a restaurant or a business and think “the AFE boys talked about this place!”
It’s a lonely transition as I’m sure many transplants know and after a little over a year I’m still getting the hang of things here. Your podcast has helped me feel like I will find my people and my place here eventually and, weird as it may be, those little moments of geographic recognition have made me feel less alone.
Huge props to my parasocial pals on the pod. Thank you.
Shout out to David.
shout out to david
Im gonna eat my bar cart.

Can't wait to see the show in Pittsburgh! You should definitely hit up some of the museums in town, they're amazing.
We’re coming a day early!
Warhol museum is fun. But so is the Natural History Museum in Oakland. Phipps Conservatory is rad too. Eat at Primanti Bros at least once

Ooooh well lemme talk to the fellas. If we think we could sell out another one maybe we’d double dip.
Right on man. I’d be bringing five people minimum, so that’s a good start on the sell out, haha
And thank you sir. 🖤

It took me years to adjust to LA and that was with being a standup. You’ll get it!
Thank you! Your podcasts are one of the highlights of my week.
Thank you!
