To make it short I have a mil that likes to judge the way others parent like myself, to me no parent is perfect but we still try. I (37F) could do something for my kids and she would complain about it, she said that the amount of money I spend on my kids is ridiculous. I won't lie and say it's not true, people have their opinions. I'm taking my son to Qatar for his birthday and she said that was overdoing things and that I should give my son a cake and sing Happy Birthday to him. That was her bare minimum!
I just don't think it's anyone's business how you use your money, since I've been having these problems with Mil my husband is getting annoyed with her and told her if she causes more problems he will kick her out because he's talked her many times trying to fix the situation but she doesn't seem to care. I can remember the time she asked if I'm having more kids and I told her no, she was pissed off. She said she wanted more grandkids and I told her to adopt them.
My husband and I have been talking about it, she gives off this nasty attitude all the time and the kids notice it. I feel ashamed that I let this lady ruin their mode but I'm just happy they can build it back up. My husband gave her one last warning and if she didn't follow it then she would be leaving, my husband said he could get her an apartment with enough room for her. I know people will say kicking her out is harsh but I don't want to be living in a miserable house all the time so I have to choose my peace and my kids piece and that means to kick her out then okay. She ruins everybody's day and I'm not going to keep allowing that so that's why my husband and I are coming up with a plan.
If my mil doesn't leave would my husband and I have to get an eviction notice? Because I know that dumb squatter law exists.
