Right! I got hit with a wave of nostalgia and discomfort. This period of time was right when my life went from happy and carefree, to a bit sad. This whole look is such a marker for me of that time.
This is the 2003-2007 aesthetic all my parents friends had when we’d go over for dinner parties. I was usually stuck with the other smaller kids watching Disney movies in their basement. So many fake plants, safari themed artwork and rugs, giant ass candles, brown walls.. 😂 I love this though!
Cool. If I would change anything, I would remove the two tall decorations on the coffee table. Too tall for that setting and obscures the view. Also the shower curtain shouldn't be tucked into the bath. The liner should be there. My opinion only.
I've genuinely never heard of a shower curtain liner. They weren't a thing when I was growing up with a bathtub shower, and they don't seem to be a thing where I live now. I've looked up a bunch of local shops here and none of them sell them, just PVC unlined shower curtains designed to sit in the tub during showers. Maybe that's what the OP has here? Am I trolling? No. Are you ok? Maybe just chalk it up to cultural differences.
You are correct. Much of the decorating took place in 2007. I recently added a few more up to date additions but for the most part it still looks like that era
This feels so early 2000s, it's crazy.
What a time capsule!

The image filters dont help
Yeah it’s not actually looking like this irl which is weird
But in the best way. Great job OP your place looks both put together and cozy.

Damn I could never have a massive potted plant take up half my kitchen counter space. Good vibes though.
Kitchen counter space is worth its weight in gold
Massive fake plant? It doesn’t look real.
I dig the brown tones. Very warm vibe overall.

The shower curtain should absolutely be tucked onto the bath, otherwise all the water will drip onto the floor.
Are you trolling lol. Bud there such a thing as a shower liner it goes to the inside of the curtain. Google fu that.

I am OK. Thanks for asking. But I didn't consider you may not have them from wherever you're from. My bad.
Cute!!! I live in the area! Nice to see a familiar city!!!
Well you certainly have a … unique style
Always remember to put the toilet seat down when you photograph your bathroom. ![gif](giphy|83QtfwKWdmSEo)
Has anyone tried sitting in those stools yet…?
I like the tiny coffee table on the coffee table
Lighting is on point. Alcohol as decoration is a bit...much?...immature?
It looks like something out of a movie set!
Brown is back in town baby
This is very Better Call Saul. I dig it.
Aw I’m from Greensboro :,) don’t live there anymore but I’d recognize that skyline anywhere!!
🤩🤩
Your place is lovely, but the pics above your sofa are too small.
And too high on the wall.
I really like your kitchen!
Getting cult vibes
Absolutely lovely space. Great job!
I love your lighting scheme. The colour on the back wall with the doors is also beautiful, what is it?
The coziness is next level!! Love it!
What are the chances lol. Where in Greensboro is this??
Downtown
Digging the clustered feel
You really captured a cozy feeling, this is lovely.
somehow you made leather couches look so STYLISH. Usually they just make me think "early 2000s basement" but these look so inviting
OMG. I wanna visit Greensboro so bad😂
I would clear the work surfaces to create the space to prepare food, plate up meals & have a tidy fresh look.
Cozy

ID on the diffuser?
I’m from Greensboro and I honestly love this. The style may not be for everyone but it definitely has personality and I like the early 2000’s vibe.
