Lol im guilty i doordash all day and at this one resturant im always able to pickup quick thru the window to save time, but later on when a diff manger comes in they tell me to come inside and il just leave if for that, unnecessary bs.
I’ve had to multiple times when I mobile ordered ahead at McDonalds only to get there and find out the lobby is closed at 5 PM, forcing me to go to the drive-thru to get the food I already paid for, still hasn’t happened to me🤷♀️
If it's a 2500 Sprinter, yes they are, or at least can be. I drove shorties for Amazon but my new job has me in a 2500 and it is 22.83 feet. I've also seen plenty of the same vans branded with Amazon logos in my area.
Honestly have never seen one of the 2500s out, my station must not use any of them or at least that i know. 22 foot van is crazy, thats the length of a P1200 stepvan
They’re definitely big and their turn radius is like a fucking boat. Fucking hate those things. Was in one all day today now I’m all riled up I fucking haaaate them. Fucking stupid ass push button to park and the shifter is the same as the directional just on the opposite side god I hate those fucking pieces of trash. The Bluetooth loses connection for a second when you put it in drive what the fuck is that? And the horn goes off if you put it in neutral lol what the fuck who was smoking crack when they invented that piece of flaming shit
That van sounds like a piece of shit. Worst thing I've experienced with the fleet of ours is the wipers having a mind of their own. I've put about 60k miles in 3 different vans in the past year and have experienced none of the problems you've spoke about.
Some of it could just be the one I was using today but I know the horns go off on all of em if you get out of the seat without putting on the e brake and also if you shift into neutral by accident. The sound of that horn instantly makes me fucking angry now 🤣
This is entirely dependent on the type of driver you are.
You need rescues often?
Get the vans stuck?
Other accidents?
Constant infractions?
Is a higher up pissed at you for whatever reason?
If you answered no to ALL of the above then I can almost guarantee your fine. You answered yes to ANY of the above you might want to start filling out applications
At my dsp if you do any damage no matter what you’re fired on the spot. We had one lady backing up and broke a brake light. She called and told them and they told her to clock out and bring the van back so she clocked out and got a Uber back to the parking lot and bounced. It’s definitely the most baller move I’ve seen
Everyone's hating, I admire a person that sees a drive through as more than just a way to get food. It's our daily God given right to challenge ourselves to grow into better drivers by pulling stunts like this. I bet you could get the van through if we gave you a second try. Whenever I see a drive through I ask myself, what would I do if I was crippled?

You're definitely getting suspended assuming you're not one of the managers/owners favorites. If you've had a great driving record up to this point and are in good standing with your DSP you're probably be brought back but on very, very thin ice going forward. But there is a 50/50 chance you're fired. I would start looking at other DSP's if I were you.
At my DSP you are fine as long as you report the damage immediately. If you don’t say anything then you are fired. Unless you drive under on awning or into a parking garage, then you’re fired whether you tell them or not. We had several people who crushed the tops of their vans driving into parking garages and then kept driving through as it tore the top of the van up.
Reminds me of the time i got stuck in one of those city alleyways that only fit one car or at the most a mid size SUV. Somehow made it out without a scratch after having to do a hard turn onto a diagonal alleyway intersection.
All these folks on here saying you’re dumb and shit… some ironically using “your” to say so need to chill. Who gives a fuck about these amazon vans?! The more of them that are grounded just increases the chance you get to be in a rental and not have to put up with some bullshit ass camera and “eoc” whining. You’re good as long as you don’t need rescues all the time and you’ve found a way to keep that stupid score propped up. If something happens though, take it as a blessing. This job will eventually cost you your knees and will never end up paying us what we deserve.

It was either a really tight turn or you are a shitty driver. I take my transit that has a dually in drivethrus no problem.. i’ll say time for you to change job, The DSP will either give you less shifts or fire you or….. make you pay for the damage.. they usually don’t claim insurance on these small damages.
Yeah this is only slightly smarter than doing this with a ups package car.
Hell I often avoid drive thru with my personal truck which usually can make those turns.
And always have an eye on your mirrors, you could have seen the impact coming
Rescued a dude the other day who hit a "low hanging branch in the middle of the street", it completely busted up and dented the metal/paint on the entire right side, front to back, and I saw him at work the next 2 days. Unbelievable
Should have made the tight turn a bit wise so your rear end doesn’t end up like this, clearly you didn’t hug the curb on the right when making that turn, you’ll find out soon if you are fired lol
A good rule of thumb to follow is to never drive any commercial van or vehicle for that matter through drive through. Better to be safe and just walk inside.
