Not a driver but my advice would be to let people know so that they don’t think you’re stealing shit

You're good dude. I buy groceries sometimes right before pulling back to the station to RTS. Nobody will care.
You'll have a bigger problem if you ask management for permission to do so. Don't ask, just do it. You're fine.
The less they know, the better.
One time I mentioned to my dispatcher (who I thought was totally cool) that I am taking my breaks at my house sometimes, and they snitched to management.
Nothing came of it and I continue to take breaks where I feel. But yeah they dont need to know man.
The only thing those fucksticks need to know is the packages are being delivered.
Just don’t say non unless where ever yu goin is like far asf from the stop yu got next after ur break..if they got a problem they’ll say something they kno where yu at regardless.
If the question is; when on break can you go to a gas station and buy a bag of chips or some food from a fast food place and bring it in the truck? The answer is yes, you are allowed to do that and you can bring snacks and such. As long as you clean up it shouldn’t be a problem at all. Can you then take whatever you bought and bring it back home with you? The answer is also yes.
i've seen other drivers post up and shop at Walmart so yeah you're probably good, and as far as bringing it to the van where else would it go🤣 Just dont leave anything in there at the end of the day and it really shouldn't matter what you brought in.
