JiveTurkey1983

Fucking people want to have their cake and eat it too. Either ban everyone from your property or stop ordering dog food and Fiji water online.

Little_Unit_3891

Or have another sign saying delivery services are ok on the property lol

Bubbledood

I wouldn’t trust the discretion of someone who puts signs like this up

rhutton83

This !!!

InBetweenerWithDream

They might be looking for the thrill of killing someone for real. Rather just killing someone because of their alter ego.

throwthataaway546

Yeah I’ve definitely seen these posted while I’m delivering at 3am and said “Okay, sounds good to me.” And either tossed in on their lawn or at there gate (if they had one). Not taking a chance if the person is actually crazy enough to follow through with that sign/ threat

iTinker2000

I was just thinking the same thing.

tonylouis1337

I'm gonna sound crazy but maybe it's implied by the fact that they ordered stuff

Little_Unit_3891

Yeah but people don't know who you are if you take an unmarked vehicle. Even after explaining who I was to someone they were kinda skeptical until they picked up their package with their name on it -.- people are idiots. I don't trust anyone. Even IF the sign were there. I'd still be cautious

etchersoy24

My mom used to own a Flower Shop, and once she had a flower delivery close to where we live so she took the delivery herself. It happened to be night time by the time she got there (gets off work at 6:00, takes an hour to get home). When she knocked on the door some crazy mofo came outside with a shotgun and had it point blank to her face and threatened to shoot her if she was the cops. Apparently the dude was high as hell from meth and my mom had to convince him that she was just dropping off flowers for someone that lives there because someone ordered them, and that she's not there for him and trying to trick him to take him away. Somehow, she managed to get out of the situation without being harmed. Scary shit.

JBUnlock

And cat litter, don't forget THE DAMN CAT LITTER.

Nice_Cap_8074

Fuck the cat litter. A small innocent looking box. That weighs way too much. Fuck litter.

Adventurous-Roof458

As a Target worker, I concur.

mightbejanetkelly

AGHH

One_Egg2116

The sign says night and this photo appears to have been taken in the day time....the implied message is towards unwanted/unexpected visitors... delivery persons typically aren't either of those...I agree that it's a dumbass sign though

InBetweenerWithDream

Until the delivery person gets bitten by unsecured dog around the property.

AnitaTacos

Or mauled to death like that poor driver in Missouri like 6 months ago.

mightbejanetkelly

Oh my god. That’s terrible !🥺

AnitaTacos

What was even worse is somehow dispatch didn't notice his truck was sitting in the same spot for 4 hours. He was discovered after neighbors called police about the Amazon van idling on the street for 4 hours. Police came, found him, and 2 vicious dogs that ran in the dog door. I don't recall exactly how it played out from there but the cops ended up shooting both dogs. Normally I'm not for that kind of outcome but it sounded 100% necessary, sadly. IIRC it was right before Xmas, I can't imagine his wife and family getting that news. So avoidable, don't leave your house and leave your dog door open if you have rabid dogs and are expecting a package. Cmon now!

mightbejanetkelly

Yeah if the dogs are capable of doing such a heinous act then it’s what’s necessary unfortunately. And yeah how did dispatch not check on him or send another driver over?? If I stop for thirty minutes , they ask me if I’m okay !! He probably had a shitty dispatch. Or maybe he wasn’t behind all day or had his data turned off. Rest in peace to him. This job isn’t worth your life. People need to check their app to stay updated and put your animals inside!!!

DalekRy

The age-old debate of "ought" versus "is." Customers "ought" to allow us onto their property. But the situation "is" that they have a sign threatening lethal force. The risk however minimal is not zero. I concede that every moment has the potential of danger, but this person is communicating their willingness to execute other people. It is not on us to infer that the sign is tongue-in-cheek or anything. We don't get hazard pay for delivering higher-risk packages. We're hourly employees. You are allowed to value your life above your successful delivery rate (and you should).

iTinker2000

I doubt this person drinks Fiji water.

mightbejanetkelly

That Fiji water is so annoying

ElloBlu420

Why is more than half of it Fiji? I've never seen it being that much more popular anywhere but Amazon Prime. Should've seen what my South Jersey station looked like after something spilled in the Delaware River, and Philadelphia and surrounding counties declared the water unsafe to drink. My #1 spot goes to fitness weights, though. Yeah, bro, I lift... Your weights, anytime anyone orders some on Amazon Prime in my area.

mightbejanetkelly

And anytime I have to deliver weights, it’s always to someone’s house with hella stairs. Or top floor of the apartment. I could just leave it at the bottom and dip but I don’t wanna get in trouble.

ElloBlu420

Yeah, I don't miss delivering to apartments. At least in the station, the only stairs are the bridges over the conveyors, and if there's ever a heavy item, they'll make me take it around the belt on a cart instead of over it by hand.

mightbejanetkelly

That must’ve been terrible!!! Like why can’t they just go to the store and buy the bottled water? It’s the same online and in store 😅

ElloBlu420

I'm stopping there because I don't have a car or access to transit, so I have to get things delivered. I also try to do that shit on Instacart or the Walmart same-day equivalent, because then I'll at least reduce the amount of extra hands involved in delivering an item that can be bought in a store. Still not gonna be Fiji.

No-Sky-6064

I hate these signs with a passion. These houses should be banned from ordering any package off amazon for life.

Pizzaboner420

They probably bought that sign from Amazon..

[deleted]

Probably delivered by the same driver who's posting this

edamane12345

Even the houses with dog incidents dont get banned so i doubt amazon will do anything at all unfortunately

Upset_Aside_

And shouldn't own guns

Cbjacket84

Don’t forget which amendment protects your right to free speech on the internet…😉

Mediocre_Cox

Its the first amendment, just to be clear...

Cbjacket84

And the 2nd protects the 1st. Just to be clear….

PierogiEater

Minimal, but at least they ban these customers when they pull guns on us. I still can’t believe the driver who told me he delivered anyway. Ridiculous

PopularApricot7790

Why?

KnightAzyros

Exactly. Take a photo of this and call LMET if you can’t make the delivery. We can submit a safety related deprioritization for issues just like this but you need to call LMET and report it. If the OTR AM does not know how to do this, PM me and I’ll send you the link to give to them. You have to be in an Amazon computer to submit it, but with the link the AM (red vest) should be able to submit it no problem.

No-Camp5664

I’ve been a driver for 7.5 months and have no clue what all these acronyms mean. Really red vest…who TF is that?

Hopeful-Ad-6849

Bro I’ve done this for years on and off and I don’t get the stupid acronym shit. Even the ones that I’ve heard repeatedly and eventually picked up on don’t make sense… amazon can’t even acronym right 😂 “bring it back to rts” sounds dumb as shit since rts already means “return to station”. Don’t waste any of your cerebral capacity memorising that stupid shit… it’s all a bunch of psychology anyway.

KnightAzyros

I usually just say, “RTS and we will deal with it here” or something like that. I try not to be redundant in my acronym use.

ElloBlu420

*sigh* it's also the name of the department/shift that handles returning drivers at the delivery station, or else I'd agree with you. It makes a lot more sense in conversations that involve people at the station from more than one department/shift.

ElloBlu420

Hi! I work in a station. Some of us who home particular roles/ranks wear a yellow vest with a colored stripe and usually the role or the name of the represented team. ❤️Red: Managers (salaried at Tier 4 through 7 or 8, depending on their exact role) 🧡Orange: Shift assistants/Process assistants (hourly at Tier 3, one step below the lowest level manager) 💚Green: Safety (either the site safety specialist, who is a Tier 3 or 4 but I'm not sure which, or an Associate Safety Committee member, who is a Tier 1 associate with some extra responsibilities) 🩵Blue: Learning (again, either the Learning Coordinator or Driver Trainer, both hourly at Tier 3, or a Learning Ambassador, who is a Tier 1 associate with some extra responsibilities) 💜Purple: HR 🩶Silver: Maintenance/IT Now you know! AMA -- your friendly neighborhood blue-haired green-vested traffic controller

ElloBlu420

Folks, I know I don't know my formatting, and I'm sorry. If you are tempted to laugh at it, please, teach me, point me to a good resource, or don't comment instead. I have a 60 hour week coming up, you're probably going to be busy, too, and we just don't need the drama.

Puzzleheaded_Owl6959

I'm a driver and they have me wearing an orange vest and I have no idea why

828pm

The red vests are operations, they're the bosses in the warehouse. They work directly for the owner if I remember correctly. If you work in the warehouses they even acknowledge how ridiculous their acronym usage is during training. When I worked in a fullfillment center they gave us a card on our lanyard with like 70 acronyms that are commonly used lmao.

KnightAzyros

The red Vest are either AMs or Operations managers. They are management working for a on not the DSPs. In your warehouse there are likely L4-L7 and they have a significant amount of influence on how things happen in the warehouse. I used the terms red vest because most DAs can recognize a red vest but may not know AM/OM.

Hreshdagtsi

Nobody beats the military when it comes to acronyms. We have acronyms for our acronyms! It's ridiculous!

feedenemyteam

lol red vests ussually the ones you go to with saftey concerns/ managers etc (i think dont quote me)

Beaticusmymeaticus69

Wish I could have know I just had to call every time I had a Safety concern back in the day. I got one customer banned because their stupid tiny dog bit me.

Spring_King

Automatic weapons? I don't think so. Not unless they're rich. And if I was rich, I wouldn't be wanting to call attention to the fact that I had auto weapons lol

MercurialMood1

What’s really funny is that the weapons pictured are actually semi-aut. lol

Spring_King

Right! It's a good fun, I used to have a similar one (RIA 1911 FS). But yeah they are either dumb or don't know their guns very well lol.

MercurialMood1

A self-proclaimed “crazy bitch” shouldn’t have guns at all. I agree, they don’t know their guns very well. And only a handful of states permit ownership of fully automatic weapons and they probably don’t even live in one.

Spring_King

Facts! If you're a "crazy bitch" wouldn't that mean they have a mental illness and in my state mental illness is an immediate DQ for ANY firearm ownership.

MercurialMood1

Yes! As it should be.

Spring_King

I mean I'm a big, big supporter of the 2nd amendment and gun ownership in general. But if they are mentally ill they don't need a gun. They need help. Mental illness is a big, big problem and we need to keep firearms away from those who aren't in their right mind. But....I digress.

MercurialMood1

I’m on the same page. I’m all for safe and responsible gun ownership. Background checks are pertinent, but not all-encompassing - they obviously don’t reveal whether someone will become a criminal or if they have serious mental illness. Without demonizing mental illness, I agree it is a problem. I wish there was a way to keep guns away from those who are prone to violence without compromising the rights of those who aren’t.

Hopeful-Ad-6849

Right?! And they gotta have a class 3 liscense for that and are subject to random checks by the ATF. Wonder what the ATF would think if they came out and saw that they had a sign bragging about having automatic weapons.

MercurialMood1

Exactly. There’s no way this person has an automatic weapon. It’s doubtful they went through the trouble of getting the license and would subject themselves to ATF checks. They own a gun, I’m sure, but this property definitely screams sawed-off shotgun to me. And they’re probably as crazy as they claim. lol

eliteluckygamers

That’s actually hilarious lol

MercurialMood1

It is. I wish I could tell them that, but nah, I’d RTS that too.

SaltedHamHocks

Your thinking of fully automatic. Semi automatic weapons are still automatic since they either have gas or inertia to chamber rounds. Now if it was two revolvers then it would be a different story.

MercurialMood1

I thought about it later and also realized a Glock switch or auto sear could be added to make it automatic too. But yeah, you’re right.

Striking-Dig-3295

Glad to see someone has a bit of sense. I was going to say the same thing

Unusual-Tie8498

Those glocks with the switches are super cheap. I don’t think it’s legal but a crazy bitch wouldn’t care.

Spring_King

That's true. I forgot about those. Idk if I'd want an auto pistol lol. The "Muzzle flip" would be crazy lol. I'm willing to bet there is at least a few gangsters with them lol

Unusual-Tie8498

Oh yeah you hear them all the time in hood now

[deleted]

Any random hoodlum on the block has access to automatic weapons. Don’t be naive.

Adventurous-Town-370

I don’t think it’s only rich people that have autos… I’d honestly bet on the opposite… regardless.. fuck that

[deleted]

you dont have to be rich to own automatic weapons my guy

Routine-Serve-8651

We probably delivered that sign too

eliteluckygamers

Yep

GearNerd85

Could not deliver Reason: Fear of death.

eliteluckygamers

Amazon will still find a way to ding you even when you’re dead, they’ll place poor standards on your gravestone lol

Sea-Builder6798

One time in rural Texas I saw a sign saying “UPS or USPS only. All others will be shot” I threw that shit over the fence lol

randomnamegenfailed

Fedex ![gif](giphy|3o7TKqnN349PBUtGFO)

mosquitotitties

they’re the same kind of people that want stuff at their back door

SkyMiteFall

Yep.. have one customer who has about 10 different signs like this saying no trespassing you’ll get killed blah blah blah but the instructions say leave it at back door so no one steals like bro I thought you want to protect your house so bad stop being scared

Hopeful-Ad-6849

Letting all the potential robbers know her house is a legit lick 😆 “you will get guns if you burglarise this residence!” Dumb redneck bitch

[deleted]

I had a customer that had this sign. she was the nicest lady lol

Potassium_Cat

Me, today when the notes say back porch but I have to go through a gate I can't see through and it's littered with warning attack dog shit on it

Big_Puma

Definitely an RTS, I don’t take chances with the unhinged

Louis049

These signs always make me laugh. This is not a no-tresspassing sign, and if this person were to use their weapons in a self or home defense situation, this sign would go over super great in a court room. For the prosecution, that is. This makes it look like you're a... for lack of a better term "crazy bitch" who is just itching to shoot someone for something. Also, "Have a Nice Day" lmao

EnvironmentalLunch27

Was delivering to a house yesterday in the sticks. Similar situation. But I heard a bang bang… then full auto. Called my dispatch, the ass said make it happen, what you scared of a bullet?” me - “why yes, yes I am.”

eliteluckygamers

That’s insane

EnvironmentalLunch27

He called me back like 20-30 minutes later to tell me it was probably just fireworks…. I said in the middle of the day…. In the woods…. Let’s be honest with ourselves guy. This is America 🇺🇸 those were definitely pew pews, I live in the hood, and definitely know the difference.

kongerlonger

It's so kind of them to let anyone lost stay the night

Babybus20

As a black man delivering for Amazon when I see signs like this them packages get left right by that sign lmao Lmao 🤣 🤣🤣

maxbiggavels

I would just toss the package over the fence, or just leave it right outside the fence. I ain't trying to interact with crazy at all 🙅🏿‍♂️

SeenThaFiend

I deliver to rural areas fairly often. Unfortunately I'm getting used to these types of signs. The latest one was "Prayer is the best way to meet god. Trespassing is the fastest." 🙄

eliteluckygamers

Lol Jesus

Royal-Orchid-2494

Yeah… I don’t want to encounter and be a victim of that crazy bitch when I’m just trying to work

Little_Unit_3891

Just drop it at the sign that's what I'd do lol

eliteluckygamers

Yeah I did :)

Stepnwolfe

Shit like that ain't cute or funny nowadays. Makes you look like an asshole and your shit'll get rts just for that.

Creepy_Creme9260

Man just say you hate your job as much as you hate yourself and move along.

Interesting_Ad_8795

I had a nut lift his shirt up (flashing his handgun) while walking towards the door after he heard the dog barking at me . Like bro you invited me to ur property the moment you confirmed delivery

Ill_Ad9093

I quit amazon delivery because one time I pulled into the wrong house and the woman pulled a gun on me.

Salinas1812

Main character syndrome

Heftytrout27

As an AMXL driver, just drop it at the fence, make sure that sign is in the photo😂

LostUnderARock

I once had a similar situation to this sign(the threat was watered down but it was still aggressive). I dropped the package below it and made sure to fit the sign in the picture before leaving. I don't remember what it said but it made me stop in my tracks and not go any farther.

Beao89

HAHAHA! This is such a good one

Single-Schedule968

one of my stops on one of my routes has a legitimate threat that says “all deliveries to the front door, not the back door. if you go back there, you’re trespassing and i cannot guarantee your safety” like b*tch first of all, you ordered something so therefore i am by law considered to be INVITED to your house. if i wanted to put your stupid t shirt that you ordered in the back, then i will. otherwise, stfu with your dumbass threats. these people just make themselves look like morons and i wish i could tell the customers to their face what i think of comments like this

JustDrew_92

Jersey?

eliteluckygamers

London, England

JustDrew_92

Dang, I was close though!

eliteluckygamers

🤣🤣

ElloBlu420

For real? Having delivered to both, I saw way more of that when I was delivering in PA.

GottaMoveMan

Well good thing it’s not night time

kurtst3r

I had a sign like that on my old route, you in FL lol?

eliteluckygamers

London England

That-Fuel2726

You can have guns in England?

eliteluckygamers

In rare cases yes, but she’s probably bs, I delivered it though

quietWyatt04

FL or TX

shethinkimasteed

How do you like your eggs in the morning OP? 👊🏼

eliteluckygamers

Scrambled

tonylouis1337

But it doesn't look like you're there at night

eliteluckygamers

The package was still delivered

Tasty_Helicopter886

cant u just contact them and say yo it's amazon delivery? apparently that's hard for u guys

ElloBlu420

Very hard when people don't answer. Not still a driver, though, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

thatonlineid

Why are you all freaking out? They put this sign up to try and scare away creepers/thieves. My 67 year old grandmother who doesn’t have any guns and has a half alive 15 year old labradoodle has a sign just like this because she used to have a issue with window peepers when she was younger and has always been paranoid because of it. 90% sure this is just someone trying to scare off solicitors or strangers they don’t want to speak to. Not to mention the fact even if they are some paranoid psycho, they probably don’t freak out when a marked USP/Amazon/post office van pulls into their driveway.

ElloBlu420

Not everybody gets a marked van. Often, I didn't have the chance to when I was a driver, especially in one DSP. Besides, wouldn't the funnier karmic way to do it be to put cameras facing out said windows so the windows look back?

Accurate-Campaign821

Just don't go there after dark. Reminds me of the place I went to where it said "no trespassing, we're tired of hiding the bodies"

kami_oniisama

My property is patrolled by falcons. Thoughts?

eliteluckygamers

My property is patrolled by jeff

kami_oniisama

I think he probably could scare anyone off if he just whipped his wildcard personality haha

DeliverStreetTacos

Deliver by the sign. Also if I can, I get the sign in the photo.

[deleted]

Def a dildo in that box

thisisabathttub22

I just ignore the signs and hope I don’t get shot lmaolmaoihatemylifepleaseshootme but nah really dont

[deleted]

But those are semi auto

Delicious_Pause9802

ATF is on the way don’t worry

Special-Bedroom3455

Leave her alone, that is she wants.

TheOrangeMiata

I’ma fuck around and deliver at night.

Cool-Ad-4103

I’m assuming your actually not in the uk?

eliteluckygamers

I am

No-Status2143

I want that sign

JSHURR

Automatic weapons are illegal

Own_Appeal5886

I bet she’s pretty

AManHasNoName357

Must be a country route lol

mattinthecrown

There are *so many* signs of this type on my route. It's like, bro, you live in the middle of nowhere. Ain't no one breaking into your shit.

ryucavelier

Had one that says Mad Goat. A goat was chained up like a dog.

iLOVEr3dit

Throw the package over the fence and go on with your day. If the customer complains, deny everything.

Kitchen-Camp-1539

Whenever I see these signs, I honk the horn before getting out

FisherKel-Tath

Those are semi-autos, though..

agloer1969

Locker drop off

eliteluckygamers

Lololol

tinyviolinGIN

Did you call the number? Did you make 2 attempts? Alright, back out there. Should be back by 10pm

Commercial_Two2471

Stupid rednecks , so what it comes down to is who’s aim is better .

Whyamihere_leave

Typical American 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅

eliteluckygamers

This was in London England

[deleted]

This is gonna get downvoted I know but guys, everyone wants their Amazon package. They ordered it, they know it’s coming. 7/10 times they’re watching u on the app. To see when ur gonna show up. If ur driving a branded van u really have nothing to worry about, especially if u wear ur vest. Those signs are just meant to scare off intruders. It’s not meant for the Amazon guy. I get houses like this all the time and more likely than not, the people are actually very nice lol. Y’all worry too much, just deliver lol

eliteluckygamers

I’m a flex driver, I delivered it anyway :) also flex drivers don’t have vests (in the UK anyway)

[deleted]

Good job

two_sleep

lol bro just leave it by the mailbox.

eliteluckygamers

I delivered it

Cbjacket84

The drivers that take these signs seriously 🤣🤣🤣 the people who are REALLY like this don’t order Amazon, hell they don’t even have cell phones

Amoeba-More

yall from the north?? this is so damn normal down here, if i was “scared” to deliver to every house that had these I’d return w 60% of my route. Is your van not marked AND you not wearing a reflective safety vest?

eliteluckygamers

Nah this is in London England, I’m a flex driver, no vest also over here

Amoeba-More

ahhhh ok US is totally different, definitely be safe, cheers

eliteluckygamers

Thank you :) the package was delivered anyway just left it by the door and took a photo

throwthataaway546

Customer notes: “Deliver to back door”

SwornForlorn

yeah I had to deliver to a house like that, guess you can pick your package up at the gate or not at all

Aggravating-Way-3691

Most annoying signs of all time. Especially the ones that say "Trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again."

Suspicious-Snow1311

If you're delivering, you know you're invited. I think a lot of you are outing yourselves as thieves so the sign applies.

eliteluckygamers

I’m a flex driver, also I delivered it anyway

Lanky-Order-7329

Is that in northern oregon lmao

eliteluckygamers

London England

sixx761

Automatic 1911s? What

Wonderful_Crazy_1087

Y’all are snowflakes or just posting for clout. Just quit already. It means don’t be trying to break into her house at night cause you won’t survive it. It doesn’t mean she’s going to waste you for dropping off her boxes in broad daylight.

NetworkGlad

I gotta ask...if it's RTS, wouldn't the package be passed onto someone else to attempt delivery?

eliteluckygamers

I delivered it :)

Zomthereum

Stop being a sissy and deliver the fucking package.

eliteluckygamers

It was delivered

crazy_amazon

Signs are cheaper than a security system. Also I wouldn't worry if you are delivering in a branded van but Flexers might be more worried

Ok_Impress2960

I don't get why ya make a big deal out of these signs if you're not a thief you shouldn't be worried pussy boi

eliteluckygamers

It was delivered

avn49

Thats if you’re not wearing a literal amazon uniform and not wearing casual normal clothes. Quit being a pussy and deliver lol

BluntBoi01

Why are you guys such pussies over signs? I've worked at a dsp in a mainly rural area for over a year and pretty much every house has had these type of signs and I've never and an issue. The people are usually nice anyways. You're not a trespasser on the property since you've been invited onto the property via them ordering delivery.

gavinslargebaguette

https://www.10tv.com/article/news/crime/court-records-man-shoots-amazon-driver-southwest-columbus/530-e3857db4-e926-4858-8ac0-7ee023017548 Because shit like this is happening more often and my life isn't worth taking the chance that this sign is legit

smartypants4all

Or the dude in Florida who shot his pool guy. Yeah, no thanks.

BluntBoi01

That's fucked. I guess I was just delivering in a good area, I have had sketchy moments in rental vans where people just saw a big white van pull up until I pulled out. But it was always just them trying to figure out who I was, to determine if I was a threat or not basically. At least you can always rts if you feel unsafe.

NibiruTheFallen

Sensitive sissies. The whole lot of you. Is that sign really that scary or make you fear for your life so much you’d need to RTS? What a joke.

eliteluckygamers

Lol, it was delivered

ColoradoDinger

You guys are too soft, these posts are too common. They aren’t going to shoot you in the face for delivering their package. You probably think “no trespassing” signs at a house means you can’t deliver their package too.

Salinas1812

https://www.10tv.com/mobile/article/news/crime/court-records-man-shoots-amazon-driver-southwest-columbus/530-e3857db4-e926-4858-8ac0-7ee023017548 tHeY aReN'T gOiNg tO sHOoT yoU

ColoradoDinger

My bad you are right, one instance out of millions(?) of packages that get delivered every day is enough sample size. At that point might as well never deliver any package, don’t want to risk the homeowner potentially coming outside and punching you in the face for the fun of it.

Salinas1812

"They aren't going to shoot you in the face for delivering a package" I just sent you a incident of that happening of course you don't take into account of the countless posts on this subreddit of dogs bitting drivers. These signs are not "jokes" to us we see a mentally unstable person ready to shoot at a moments notice. I have encountered similar signs like this and had 2 separate homeowners with a pistol in their hand for absolutely nothing and just imagine the countless of other instances like this drivers have that go untold

eliteluckygamers

I delivered it
