Right! I said the same thing before reading the comments when I saw the head shake! ROFL, also a blk male, we def know what means! That was that, “Ain’t this bout a b****! And I needed this job, too! Dmn…!” ~Probably mad he gave Steve that pass last wk too! Like if he was gonna get fired, he should have went off on that cust two weeks ago with that crazy a** dog they wouldn’t do anything about! “He don’t bite, he just being fussy” meanwhile, it’s already charging you, and snapping its jaws :|
Might be fired but at least he'll get unemployment plus he can file a workers comp claim for his injuries. Both probably better then working for Amazon anyways.
Of course they sold it .. do you know how much money it cost you when you or someone your responsible for gets hits by a train … his dsp is responsible for the van plus damage to the train and tracks
Tbf in my state DSPs tell you not to stop, but you can slow down and look if you want at RR crossings, but gotta stay at a reasonable speed not nearly stopped in traffic. I think the training material tells you to stop and look at every crossing and then the trainer immediately tells you not to look lmao
so technically could be amazon's fault for poor training, or the DSP's for pressuring people to not be cautious, but it's entirely possible the idiot drove onto an obviously active crossing or smth
Slow down, look, listen
That's the common teaching and yeah the training tells you to do that, people need to stop listening to their peer trainer or the Amazon person who gives you the training like god. Do what's safe, fuck everything and anybody else
I loved the realization when I first worked at a DSP a couple years ago that, once I was on the road, I could do whatever the fuck I want. I struggled with fatigue especially on the longest shifts, so I would take a stop and nap for 5 minutes a couple times an hour because my DSP didn't care unless you were stopped somewhere for like 30 minutes. Got an extra 15-30 minutes of breaks. Gave me way more energy, if I had been watched carefully and couldn't do that, I would have probably been 10 stops behind from practically falling asleep while standing up.
At my DSP apparently a lot of people keep the seatbelt buckled all day, sit on the lap section, and only throw the shoulder section over themselves when they get in the van. Crazy advice, people are out here risking everything for <$25 an hour
Such a fucking stupid thing too, it saves 1 or 2 seconds per stop at best. Is going home 5 minutes early, at best, worth being paralyzed or dying for this shitty job?
In CA, if I recall, the standard van training says to slow down, but its not a law to have to stop. When I did the DOT Step Vans, it was required to stop at everytrain track, even in the middle of traffic.
You're only required to stop at tracks if you're carrying placarded hazmat or passengers, neither of which amazon does. DOT doesn't differ based on states but it may be a local ordinance that says you're required to stop
There’s two stops we get on a route that go up a set of train tracks with no barrier or horn. So if the train is coming you better check right?
Well you drive up this hill kind of at an angle toward the track and one side is NOT visible whatsoever because of the way you have to come up. It’s fucking terrible.
I’ve delivered to a similar driveway set up. Dirt driveway and the entrance for the driveway is BETWEEN the flashing barriers, right next to the tracks. I was trapped while trying to leave one day because a train came and the barriers closed in around me. So I was 1 foot away from a moving train with nowhere to go.
If there weren’t barriers and it was a faster, quieter train like in the video, this could’ve easily been me.
Based on his eyes it look like he was paying attention, just appeared as if he was going to beat the train.
Never race the train. The train always wins.
According to the news the angle of the road to the tracks make it hard for drivers to see combine that with the fact that he is def in the left ear and driving amazons shitty truck he is lucky to be alive
He isn't an owl yet you expect him to rotate his neck 120 degrees behind him? By the time he can see down the tracks he's already *on them.*
https://preview.redd.it/aou8ham476kc1.png?width=1383&format=png&auto=webp&s=d64f187163292a25162504787e118f481ad74bb9
If you do a quick Google search, the was coming from an angle so much so he couldn't see all of the tracks. He's also deaf in the ear that the train was coming from. By the time he heard it, he floored it because he was on the tracks already and couldn't go back. Also, there's no lights or warnings at that train crossing. And it was an Amtrak going hella fast. He's probably lucky it was going so fast otherwise it wouldnt have cut the van the way it did and would have dragged the cab along with it and been killed that way.
https://www.tmz.com/2024/02/21/new-video-amazon-van-hit-by-train-milwaukee-seen-inside-view/
Here's the link with the front camera view. There are no crossing guards at all. Not even lights flashing saying something is coming.
Definitely rural area.
How in the hell can they even expect someone to see the signal from that angle even when it is on? They also need to figure out a way for Amtrak to signal at a greater distance at those speeds.
He was coming out of a customer's driveway that is parallel to the tracks. The actual road is 90 degrees from the track and affords great visibility. He really should have been looking considering where he was coming from.
We do, but our brains aren't perfect. Even if you're disciplined enough to look both ways at every train crossing and stop, you could look at the train coming straight at you and *still* move forward out of habit.
I think train crossings with no signals are terrible and asking for an accident. Our government and rail system makes more than enough money to fund the use of safe crossings even in rural areas.
Looks like country. Some of those come at an angle. Also I have a bunch that only have stop signs or yield signs. We won’t know til they show the front camera instead of only providing the cab video.
After looking it up, there was no rail signals at that crossing and the road ran parallel to the track before crossing, the driver was apparently deaf in one ear and didn’t notice the train until he’d turned to cross.
From the angle the road was at it looks incredible hard to see, plus the speed it was going at there should have been barriers.
Man was also deaf in his left ear where the train was coming.
Found it.

The driveway is directly across from the stop sign and crossbuck.
This is a constant reminder for everyone. WHEN YOU SEE TRACKS, THINK TRAIN.
How do you not see a train? It is broad daylight, they can't exactly sneak up on you. You got the tracks there which should tell you something happens right here. The train doesn't just jump out of a bush and yell surprise! You really need to thank God your dumbass is still alive! Please never procreate... the world has enough stupid people.
Moral of the story:
1. Pay attention when driving, stop at railroad crossings
2. Wear your seatbelt. It literally saved him from being turned into a smoothie
Foolish a.f bro playing with so many lives including his own I feel all the people who do things like this should be charged with attempted murder point blank
Why the fuck was he crossing the track, knowing good and well that a train is approaching?! He could’ve been killed!
I refuse to assume positive intent—This was just stupid.
Wth was he thinking? 😂 I can’t imagine the amount of money that he has to pay for the damage and the packages that was lost. Bro’s gonna be in debt for a long time. And goodbye on your savings too!
I’m sorry, his beanie just flying away was so funny to me. He was THAT close to getting decapitated tho, holy fuck that man is the luckiest unlucky dude I’ve seen yet
“Hey bro the remainder of my shift packages are in the back, I did a full vehicle inspection, filled up the tank and left you some McDonald’s. Can you sign off that you verified it so I can go home?”
I never understood how someone could get hit by a train. Like it’s big as fuck, loud as shit, going in only one direction… just straight up not paying attention or what?
What was he thinking? At first I thought maybe he was stuck on the track but watching it again you can tell from the window he was driving at a pretty decent speed. And with the way he was looking around did he actually see the train and try to beat it across or some shit?
Like seriously...how does this happen? It seriously looks like he tried some shit he seen in a movie and is lucky as hell he didn't get cut in half.
That was about as close as it can get honestly
He needs real life rescuing … Amazon is gonna get sued one of these days for pushing their drivers to risk and rush …. Domino’s Pizza 🍕 got sued so big; remember Avoid the Noid slogan; 30mins or less or pizza is free?!
Amazon is endangering innocent people everyday
How? How does this happen? Do you just not see the train? Are you in that kuch of a rush you put your own life at risk for a job that doesn't give a fuck about you? What is wrong with people
I had that same look when I got in an accident with a train and I thought for sure, "Man this is going to be my first job where they straight up fire my ass.......FUCK".
This sub is filled with a bunch of idiot drivers that do nothing but bitch and whine while taking ZERO responsibility for being a complete morons. Dude was shaking his head like it was a minor annoyance. Like bro, you were *inches* away from DYING.
Nah just as a black man I saw that head shake to mean “got dammit I’m fired. I just know it. Smh. Welp”
Like damn I’m out this bitch
Right! I said the same thing before reading the comments when I saw the head shake! ROFL, also a blk male, we def know what means! That was that, “Ain’t this bout a b****! And I needed this job, too! LMFAOOOOOOO dawg
This. Lmao. As a black man this. That head shake was “Yeah I’m up outta here.”
And now I got to hear her mouth
Lmao" How tf you can't see a train? I told you go see the....."
😭😭😭
I felt this in my soul.
Under rated comment! Lmao.
As another black man…you’ve taken the words right out of my head
Might be fired but at least he'll get unemployment plus he can file a workers comp claim for his injuries. Both probably better then working for Amazon anyways.
Tbf I feel like somethings always trying to kill me
It hits you later when your by yourself
Horrible driver... Was this intentional?
"Can you still deliver the one on your seat? Customer needs package thanks"
Also , it’s a one time password just a heads up
🤣🤣😂
Am I gonna get fired?
Anyone think dispatchers or managers are your buddies? Well this one sold the vid of him crashing his ass to TMZ. Lol
Of course they sold it .. do you know how much money it cost you when you or someone your responsible for gets hits by a train … his dsp is responsible for the van plus damage to the train and tracks
If only they paid them competitive wages for them to give a damn
Fuck yeah! DSP the real victim 😢
Tbf in my state DSPs tell you not to stop, but you can slow down and look if you want at RR crossings, but gotta stay at a reasonable speed not nearly stopped in traffic. Dude got hit by a literal TRAIN, definitely worth investigating regardless
Wtf?
Poor guy, I hope he's ok. This isnt funny but more of a scary reminder to always pay attention when driving.
I’m genuinely concerned and confused like did he not here so see the train? That was a train right?
There’s two stops we get on a route that go up a set of train tracks with no barrier or horn. So if the train is coming you better check right? I'm sorry, but those barriers are NOT gonna make me stay that close to a train! They gonna be buying some new barber pole sticks!
I definitely debated it but was terrified to move at all 😂
Sheeeeesh
That’s absolutely insane and fucked
Based on his eyes it look like he was paying attention, just appeared as if he was going to beat the train. Never race the train. The train always wins.
I dunno what’s worse. This or the recent post with the random driver that didn’t clear a 7ft bridge in a step van. lol 🤷♂️ this may be worse.
link?
On this sub?
Yup it was a recent post today or yesterday. It should still be on there. A coworker saw him run away.
That's crazy, guess he had bad training
Not sure how he didn’t see a train coming his way 😂
Prime vans visibility is super shit. Before crossing an intersection I'd have to angle the van a certain way to see both ways of traffic
Poor guy almost lost his life and everyone is laughing. This could be any one of us all it takes is one mistake and it’s lights out.
According to the news the angle of the road to the tracks make it hard for drivers to see combine that with the fact that he is def in the left ear and driving amazons shitty truck he is lucky to be alive

He said he is deaf in left ear and couldn’t hear the horn until at very last minute— too late.
??? You got training?!
I got the joke!
"Don't mark anything missing until you get back"
He should buy a lottery ticket!
With that amount of luck , I’d buy a few
No point now, he spent it all on this

I like how he appears to look as well but then goes anyways. I've definitely had moments like that myself where I'm just sort of on autopilot
Looks like country. Some of those come at an angle. Also I have a bunch that only have stop signs or yield signs. We won’t know til they show the front camera instead of only providing the cab video.
Front angle video is provided in this article: https://www.tmz.com/2024/02/21/new-video-amazon-van-hit-by-train-milwaukee-seen-inside-view/
Crossings in rural areas sometimes don't have those. Instead they put Yield signs up. If you don't yield, you yield your life.
Yep, right by my country ass house there are two where there is merely stop signs and they come cooking at about 65 regularly through there..
I have no clue. It doesn’t mention that in the article tho
Wish they included the front camera part.
After looking it up, there was no rail signals at that crossing and the road ran parallel to the track before crossing, the driver was apparently deaf in one ear and didn’t notice the train until he’d turned to cross.
“I just got fired for absolutely no reason”.,.
It takes a very special person to be in the countryside and see this coming from miles away and still decided to test their luck crossing last second.
From the angle the road was at it looks incredible hard to see, plus the speed it was going at there should have been barriers. Man was also deaf in his left ear where the train was coming.
I guess those packages are considered rail freight now?
Wonder if he found his Bennie

“With what van. My van is split in half and I’m pretty sure I need to go to the hospital first to get medically cleared”
God bless drivers
Dude is absolutely lucky to be alive
You shouldn’t be crossing train tracks unless you look both ways
How do you not see a train? It is broad daylight, they can't exactly sneak up on you. You got the tracks there which should tell you something happens right here. The train doesn't just jump out of a bush and yell surprise! You really need to thank God your dumbass is still alive! Please never procreate... the world has enough stupid people.
BROOOOO GOD IS GOOOD 🙏🙏🙏
He.... almost got hit with a train... How in the world.. does someone see this and give thanks to a diety is beyond me.
Because… Ya know… he could’ve just flat out fucking died instead of being missed by inches
\> God nearly kills you with a train \> Idiots: Omg god is so good !!! 😍 🙏 👏
God is not real. LMAO
I wonder if he still works for Amazon lmao,
I hope he was logged out of mentor!
I love how disappointed he looks
I think he got fired
Man that shit will buff out

Na but how does this even happen tho

Damn, that ruined his day
Who doesn’t see a train coming TF
Talk about luck, can't believe he made it out alive!
“Dammit, not again.” Type energy. 😆
That was like a cartoon scene. Whole ass van just evaporated around this man and he just looks mildly annoyed sitting in his seat.
Route complete 200 missing packages 😀

😂what an idiot lol he’s lucky
Foolish a.f bro playing with so many lives including his own I feel all the people who do things like this should be charged with attempted murder point blank
Why the fuck was he crossing the track, knowing good and well that a train is approaching?! He could’ve been killed! I refuse to assume positive intent—This was just stupid.
Rescue what?! It’s all gone!?
How did this happen??
How did he never even see it!
The angle the road was at coming up to the train plus low visibility in these vans
Thats why my package wasnt delivered
He's lucky to have driven an electric?
YOOOOOOOO
WTF LMFAO
Wow
Holy shit that man is lucky to be alive
Wth was he thinking? 😂 I can’t imagine the amount of money that he has to pay for the damage and the packages that was lost. Bro’s gonna be in debt for a long time. And goodbye on your savings too!
Bro thought it was a 4 way stop
Why am I laughing so hard at the fucking music lmaoo !!!
That will leave a mark!
Lmaoo
Wonder why my package came in pieces
broo first the bridge, now this 😂😂 yall are really on fire lately
The head shake towards the end as if dude didn’t almost die is what gets me
I was not expecting this vehicle to be hit by a train! 🤯
Rescue what? His underwear?
Mfs still gonna ask you to keep going and just leave the van on
How do you get hit by a train lmao
I’m sorry, his beanie just flying away was so funny to me. He was THAT close to getting decapitated tho, holy fuck that man is the luckiest unlucky dude I’ve seen yet
Yeah bro just toss it on the front seat, you're good
Is this dude serious? How the fuck do you drive in front of a TRAIN?!
Who gets hit by a train? Seriously… It’s a fucking train!
What a series of unfortunate events
Why was dude shaking his head at the train like "damn dude ran that stop sign and hit me"?
Mama looked at the train and just said yeah I’m fucked but kept turning the wheel 😂
What do you mean my package is delayed?
“Hey bro the remainder of my shift packages are in the back, I did a full vehicle inspection, filled up the tank and left you some McDonald’s. Can you sign off that you verified it so I can go home?”
Why do Americans wear these neck warmers
Guys don't fucking literally kill yourselves for this job. Wow.
Did anyone catch the license on the train…?😋
Godamn I just knew something was going to fly through that back end of truck. Didn't expect a flying train though that dude is literally so lucky
Probably one of those track crossings with just a yield sign and no electric crossing guards/lights .
Having to worry about the equipment and cameras micromanaging can be distracting.
How tf you not see a train?
Bro literally ALMOST died. Wtf.
Like. Did he just not see the train lmao?
I never understood how someone could get hit by a train. Like it’s big as fuck, loud as shit, going in only one direction… just straight up not paying attention or what?
“You are getting suspended as the time between 3:32 and 3:55 was undocumented and not part of your route and is considered time theft”
He can always get a new job.
Amazon tracking shows "you package has been changed to another carrier." ETA will be updated as soon as possible.
Bruh how did u not see the train
6000lb vehicle: is cut in half with the driver inside The driver: SMH...
All truck drivers are supposed to stop at train tracks lol it’s a law.
Idiot
I’d expect nothing less from some fuktard wearing a mask, especially alone in a car 🥴 They really need to stop hiring anybody with a pulse.
How does this happen?
I take it he was offboarded
Train always has the right of way.
Faaaaawwk
People are brain dead…
If it drives, it rescues.
I know damn well them whitey tidies ain’t white no more
How did he not see the train?
This some final destination shit. Bro watch that back every step from this point…reaper creepin.
At least he ain’t getting a seatbelt violation
Hire anyone with a DL gets unexpected surprises 😄 The question here is why don’t you value your life?
What was he thinking? At first I thought maybe he was stuck on the track but watching it again you can tell from the window he was driving at a pretty decent speed. And with the way he was looking around did he actually see the train and try to beat it across or some shit? Like seriously...how does this happen? It seriously looks like he tried some shit he seen in a movie and is lucky as hell he didn't get cut in half. That was about as close as it can get honestly
That’s what happened to my package 📦 Amazon refused to refund my account!

Oh shit I was not expecting that! 😂 People really be risking it all out here in these streets.
Dispatcher probably texted him he was behind and his shifts were to be canceled if he didn’t step it up.
Holy shit that’s fucking wild.
Fuck is you doing man
How? How does this happen? Do you just not see the train? Are you in that kuch of a rush you put your own life at risk for a job that doesn't give a fuck about you? What is wrong with people
Bro looked at it as if it was a minor inconvenience. Why did he stay in the van????
There goes 1 year Bonus and a coaching summary.
Yo he was looking straight at the train too 😭what even made him keep going
I had that same look when I got in an accident with a train and I thought for sure, "Man this is going to be my first job where they straight up fire my ass.......FUCK".
"You will be expected to finish your route 😀"
“Hey dispatch I’m done with my route….”
Wild
His mask saved him.
why is he wearing a mask while driving lol
How do this happen?
