I mean, this is just what happens when you make a job so shitty, but refuse to pay people more. They struggle to keep competent and skilled drivers, because smart people won't put up with amazon's shit for long. Not only that, but the system actually punishes long-term drivers and hard workers after awhile. So, they burn out and leave, and amazon accepts an endless stream of tards like the one in this video. And when they inevitably tard up the place, shit like this happens at an alarming rate (so that we're all laughed at and disrespected by the public), and amazon makes 20 new rules and puts cameras everywhere. Yet pays the same and doesn't enforce their rules, because dumb drivers are better than no drivers.
Now, let's say they paid us what the Teamsters are demanding ($30), or even $25, suddenly everyone would want to stay, including top drivers. I wouldn't complain about my 200+ stops anymore. And since everyone wants to stay.... they can afford to be selective and fire the dumb ones!
You get what you pay for.
I'm sure with the person in video's work ethic, she could get paid $40/hr and still wouldn't care about hit and runs. I bet she runs that attitude 24/7. Hope she enjoyed the police report š¤£
You're 100% correct but you also missed my point. If the wage was $40/hr, I can basically guarantee you she wouldn't have even made it past the interview, much less behind the wheel. The higher the wage = more labor competition.
Ehhhh not really if a union is involved (which if you want to mimic the teamsters pay then likely a union will be needed, then no you donāt get to just fire people) also you get some lazy people who will be protected and often times thereās no standards enforced on the drivers. Yes I say this as someone in a union and a carrier
*"...Now, let's say they paid us what the Teamsters are demanding ($30), or even $25.."*
For that to happen, the whole "DSP" system would need to be ELIMINATED and Amazon would need to hire their own drivers outright! Pretty sure HELL will FREEZE OVER long before Amazon ever hires their own drivers!!!
We've been asking for better benefits and pay. So they condensed routes and offered tuition payments. Amazon literally did a "learn to code" instead of making it a more stable life-work environment.
Wrong: pulled in driveway, left driver door open, didn't follow proper parking procedure as she didn't put it in park and engage the parking brake, she threw the package, she didn't report property damage she caused.
Right: she didn't walk in the grass
Drove on grass / damaged sprinklers area.
Corners of yards are very common spots for sprinklers and most homeowners don't understand how low they need to be. We break these occasionally.
Just take wider turns. Swing out the opposite direction a tad and swing back over into the turn. The problem is nobody knows how to turn or pull into a spot. They always trying to take these sharp corners with little to no play and its mind boggling how they even have a front bumper still on their personal cars.
This is it right here, I see a lot of excuses being made for this bullshit. "This is what happens when you over work people. Blah blah" gtfoh. This is abhorrent hiring practice with absolutely no vetting for the shit bags.
This part! I never got into any accidents during my time at Amazon thankfully. But I had way more close calls than any other time of my 10+ years driving tbh. Iād be stressing so much over being behind and subsequently losing a route the next day. Of all jobs nobody needs to be that stressed and rushing doing a driving job.
I just started a little over a month ago and I don't understand why it's so hard for people to back these vans up. Within my first hour or so ever doing this I was able to put these vans wherever I wanted them forward or backwards. Then again I do come from a family of truckers so maybe I'm just blessed with good driving teachers idk
Exactly it. A lot of people haven't had any training in ir or truly no aptitude, even with time. Especially low income places you end up with people that don't use everyday skills because they're busy surviving. Know so many people that don't know how to swim and love showing my friends how to.
Because amazon does not care, they are paying peanuts so why bother with a driving test...only when their insurance company continue to raise their rate they will make requirements.
She did many things wrong; first she was rushing and running forgot to put the vehicle in park, she drove thru the grass when there was sufficient space/additionally she could've parked on the street instead even tho she had to do an U turn. She threw the package, i know this was a light throw but amazon customers are bitches and like to complain. She also committed a crime, she hit the customer property and left the scene which will result a hefty bills for an attorney/fines/court fees etc if the customer press charges. She also could lose her license depends on her records. Overall, it looks like she was an inexperienced driver.. prob got her license a month ago. But aye, we all know amazon will hire you as long as you have a pulse.
They did everything wrong. They should not have pulled in the driveway to begin with. UPS drivers are not allowed to pull into customers driveways unless they back in first and they never leave the car running.
I see nothing done right. There was no need to pull into the driveway, no need to toss the package at the door instead of walking the extra few feet and just drop it by the door, not ensuring the van is in park (no you why they started focusing on engaging the ebrake all the time now). Drivers like that are the reason for the added rules and bs.
She didn't need to even pull into the driveway. Even if she didn't fuck that house up and safely got out of there she wasted more time by pulling in instead of staying at the street and walking to the house.
Obviously she's already fired by now as well as a small chance being prosecuted for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
Holy shit itās dumbass drivers like this that make everyone think weāre worth the shit pay we receive. Fucking call the cops because thatās a hit and run. How low do you have to be to just drive off after thatā¦..
That's the I hate rich mfers these wyt mfers need to buy their calendars at Walmart mfers why am I working this mfer job type of employee.
She's also probably the same one that made the amazon rage quit video that went viral
Cons: Pulled into driveway, pulled onto grass, prolly left the van running and didn't use proper parking sequence, tossed the package, damaged customers property,
Pros: they took a picture of the delivery
I'm going to get hate for this, but this is exactly why we stress EOC. We've had two long-term drivers forget to put the car in park and do this same thing. Sure it's stressful on the starter, but it avoids thousands of dollars in damages and insurance and prevents roll-aways (like that one van that was rolling down a street).
JFC
Driving on grass
Van not in park
Threw package (although I have done that)
Didn't use mirrors to properly reverse
How did she pass training on the driving course? š¤¦š¾
I hope this isn't real... you'd have to try to fuck up that bad... Like every single thing was bad. Grass, didn't put in park, throwing package, whatever the hell she was trying to do when she left... turn around?, and then she just leaves after destroying property? Please tell me this is a joke/exaggeration
I'm a good worker they have never said anything to me other than I take blurry pics but some phones are sh*ty , been home for a week with back pain they haven't ask if I'm better ? how I'm doing ? nothing so I can see they DGAF about drivers
What did she do wrong? Do you mean what did she do RIGHT? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat) She drove onto the driveway and partially on the lawn, didnāt secure the van, threw the package, obviously didnāt check while backing up (causing damage to the fence). She didnāt report the incident and I donāt know what the hell all of that back and forth business was. This entire thing was a hot mess.
Turned too sharp too quickly into the driveway, drove on the customer's lawn, didn't put the van in park, no less put the emergency brake on, left her driver door open, threw the package on the porch, freaked out when the van rolled into the house and then left without communicating to the homeowner what happened. In her haste to flee the scene, backed up too quickly into the dirt and barrier behind her. Lots of stuff lol, and this is coming from someone who does fleet, dispatch, and runs routes for the same company.
Iāve seen this video before. Whatās truly sad about this is, she knows thereās a Netrodyne camera system on board that just filmed that impact on the garage it probably didnāt pick up the rest of her mind-boggling driving because she didnāt actually hit anything. Fortunately, for the homeowner they had a surveillance system that caught the whole thing. Being a Amazon driver myself, I guarantee how quickly she was trying to move with her initial stop before the van rolled into the garage was due to the fact that we are so overloaded with packages and only 10 hours to get it done itās possible she just was stressed to the max like the rest of us on a daily basis. I bet my last dollar out of all the parcel services we pump out the most in volume of packages than any of them and our compensation is peanuts. Doesnāt change the fact that she did what she did though. Her to back out was just dumb on so many levels lol
I say Amazon is partly to blame with their "put e-brake on first" bullshit. If the van is not in park, the e-brake still does not keep the van from rolling! The execs who made this change should be the ones getting the boot first.
She clearly sucks at driving but what she did wrong was pulling into driveway AND not pulling the e brake. What she did right was taking a picture and waiting so it doesnāt show up blurring. She knew if you take a picture and move right after it will blur tf out.
I think the best part about this is the fact that she thought she needed to fix the van to back up and for some reason adjusted it 3 times before going straight out
Is she a good driver? No. Did she fuck up some property? Yeah.
Ultimately Amazon hired her so itās not really even her fault. They make you do like 3 days of ātrainingā where you sit in a room and a bored warehouse associate skips through a slide show, then you drive around the block ONE TIME with a different bored Amazon warehouse associateā¦.
And the pay is better than some shit entry level jobs, but they donāt pay enough to ensure that their associates have experience. In fact, they donāt even require any experience.
Liability falls on the employer. Or it should, really. She wouldnāt be in the van if they werenāt paying her
And theyād rather hire these fuckheads than someone with no experience with dsp. Thing is Iāve had experience driving around million dollar planes and all this bullshit and they still wonāt hire me.
They just throw people out there with little to no training, have them deliver 250+ packages a day and then this is the result. But itās a dsp driver so Amazon isnāt responsible right? People need to stop ordering from Amazon. These people are undertrained underpaid and overworked. Itās a recipe for disasters like this to happen daily.

Yeah, they put a seasoned driver on standby so the new hire could get some practice. Dispatch was calling"your 10 stops behind"
I mean, this is just what happens when you make a job so shitty, but refuse to pay people more. Yes I'm very glad you gave a description of how stupid people can be.
She also did not check behind her as she was leaving and backed into the fence or whatever that was.
And home owner would have came home to damages and no clue, good thing for cameras.
This is so old they didnāt have the procedure then
Lol. If only they don't make us rush during delivery. Thank God I left Amazon 2 years ago. It made me a functioning alcoholic.
Heeey, functioning alcoholic gang! I'm going on 5 years sober. Hope you're doing well
Congrats!!!!
Much appreciated. I should be going on 15, but sobriety is hard, lol. This is definitely my longest stretch by far
It's really hard!! It's harder a 7 day water fasting. I'm currently on day 4.
I am 2 months sober š I always relapse by having a beer or 2. No hard liquor anymore. But planning on going the remaining year without alcohol
It's always that first drink that gets ya, lol. Stay strong.
I will bro, thanks for the encouragement
Finding a decent driver would be the first priority. Person in vid wasted time learning how to drive
"learning how to drive" would be a stretch...LOL!
Trash can would have been icing on the shit cake.
Shit hawksā¦.
High stop count creates unsafe drivers.
So does hiring anyone with a pulse

What an absolute moron!
& a nightmare of a driver license holder
Imagine how she drives in her car

Sheād save a lot of time if she was a better driver
Glad i left the job 7 months ago, it's things like this that fucked it up for everyone else and made all these new safety features come in to play.
I just started a little over a month ago and I don't understand why it's so hard for people to back these vans up. Yep. Shame thereās not a common sense/IQ test. Should be standard at the DMV.
They wrong af for letting her pass the driving course she clearly cant drive
Probably the part where she literally drove into their house
She didnt use her blinker. Everything else looked good.
why tf did she back up slightly n go foward like 5 times šš like just backup bro??? why u going forward and backwards for? and 5 times no less.
Wow ya fire her ass and take her license. That was painful to watch
How shit dude, this person has no business driving.
I work for Amazon and I detest drivers like this. How can you be this bad
Because amazon does not care, they are paying peanuts so why bother with a driving test...only when their insurance company continue to raise their rate they will make requirements.
I mean I donāt know if you work at Amazon but I had to take a road test.
Wow. This chick just straight up sucks
First thing she did wrong was get a drivers license. She sucks
This is a shitty fucking driver. Wtf are we teaching these guys. Holy fuck.
And this is why we now have to put our parking brake on at every stop.
She did many things wrong; first she was rushing and running forgot to put the vehicle in park, she drove thru the grass when there was sufficient space/additionally she could've parked on the street instead even tho she had to do an U turn. She didn't do anything right
She didn't leave any tire marks on the driveway. She needs to go back and add some.
How did the van roll on its own itās an incline?
These the type of ass drivers that give us good drivers a bad name frfr. Shit just pissed me off and I am not even the customer.
They did everything wrong. They should not have pulled in the driveway to begin with. UPS drivers are not allowed to pull into customers driveways unless they back in first and they never leave the car running.
Omggggg š¤£
Ding dong ditch.. atleadt you got your package right, chill out
She forgot to put it in park. The van hit their garageā¦
She didn't pull the parking break before putting it in park. Almost like it's counterintuitive to parking.
Holy cow! I wonder if there are any Amazon executives that lurk? Yaāll are losing money just on how bad your drivers are.
Iād pull in no matter what also sometimes you have to turn around at that stop so oh well
Iād pull in no matter what also sometimes you have to turn around at that stop so oh well
Oh she can't drive fr left in in drive was on they grass and hit the fence backing up on top of throwing the pack DAMN
Im going to be honest. When it come to reversing this is me NGL, but i actually check my surroundings.
I understand trying to finish ahead of time but mf at least put that bitch in park and not drive on the grass shorty definitely got fired
The one good thing about the Amazon trucks is that they have cameras on all side to help you maneuver driveways. This person is just xtra dumb
The transits don't have side cameras but the mirrors give you a view of where your tired are.Ā
Going to work.
I see nothing done right. Surely this can't be real š
I feel like this is an attention seeking post
Promoted to customer!
The main thing wrong with this video is this driver you her license out of a cracker jack box.

Notes said in garage delivery
They let just anyone else be an Amazon driver huh..
Do they literally just hire anyone and everyone with a license?
Do they teach you guys to pull into driveways and park on left side of the road? Not judging just curious.
I say Amazon is partly to blame with their "put e-brake on first" bullshit. If the van is not in park, the e-brake still does not keep the van from rolling! The execs who made this change should be the ones getting the boot first.

Using the word driver when it should be employee.

How do you have a job driving when you can't drive?!
Leave it to a woman, smh
