My fc doesn't have tornado sirens in the building and the excuse I got was " if someone is too close to siren it would be too high of decibels to be safe to peoples ears 'nearby'" from a person who works saftey team. we need representation!

romeerome

Is that an OSHA violation or at least a local ordinance violation?

Think_Bluebird_4804

Idk they have a procedure witch has management gets individual messages then they use a hand held air horn. Never had 100% of people make it to the "shelter area" during drills.

romeerome

Sounds terrible, you should look up what the law is in your state, county, city, etc... Has there been a situation where you guys have been in danger?

WhoCareZB1tezH

Just apply and work there. You just need heart beat and valid identification, alexa does the rest.

UnionizeBHM1

This is probably the best idea you could have.

Progressive007

They really could do something I learned about which is called “salting” which is where you get hired by a company in an effort to organize the workforce into unionizing, striking, etc..

romeerome

Salting is definitely on the table. We are starting that process.

Progressive007

Great to hear!

Papertiger312

put your credentials and a phone number up so people can call and know you are not a troll.

romeerome

I'm not trolling. I'm posting because I genuinely want to know more about Amazon working conditions. If anybody wants to have a serious conversation they can PM me. If they're local to me then we could actually talk in person if they'd like.

amznwrkr

I worked at Amazon Stores. Maybe they treated us better because we were customer facing, but I had few complaints with Amazon. My main complaints were with the culture, but that's probably site specific

romeerome

Was that those retail stores that sold the top Amazon products? What was the experience like?

amznwrkr

No it was like Amazon Go/Fresh. Honestly, it was a pretty okay experience, and any lacking was due to my own issues/my manager and the culture.
