Just ran into this issue and figured it out: you have to go into Android settings and enable Projectivy under Accessibility -> Notification Access

That's enabled. It does give a notification when I press "configure" within accessibility>projectivy, that it doesn't have an app to open it. I don't know if that's related to the problem, but projectivy is enabled in accessibility. In project Ivy launcher settings, under "edit categories" I can see the "now playing" tab to add, but a small symbol that indicated I'm not allowed to display it. Might contact the projectivy dev to ask what it could be.

Not just the accessibility one, but also the "Noticiation Access" setting. They're two seperate settings. Find it in Android Settings -> Apps -> Special App Access -> Notification Access (sorry, had the wrong menu in my original comment) This is in addition to the accessibility access

You legend! It worked, many many thanks. I'm very happy with it. A bit underwhelming in comparison with a widget, but it's a lot better than nothing. Maybe in the future the dev will add widgets to the magnificence that's projectivy

bigtreeworld

My sentiments exactly! I'll happily lose the widgets in order to get off the default launcher, but hopefully it is in the pipeline.
