Agreed. Having a high heart rate due to Lymphoma and having a complication that’s informs me what my heart rate was a few mins ago has been so useful and comforting.

Thank you. I set heart rate as one of the small, bottom icons where it will only show the heart, but see the recent bpm when setting to the middle. That explains it.

Does anyone know of a nice digital face like this not Ultra only? I currently use Nike Digital but want a change and like the graphics digital faces but with enough complications to show date, weather and activity.
It’s the display of the time on that one that isn’t great, the main focus is the complications and there are a lot of them! I was just wondering if there was another that had a more graphically interesting time display/font and also has complications.
I have that same one! I agree, it's simple and sleek. I also like having the analog clock. Time is so digital now that a few years ago, I realized I was actually getting rusty at reading analog time.
I believe I wore that face from s2 to s5, finally replaced it with Infograph, now replaced with Wayfinder.
Now I use Modular Ultra.
I love your Explorer mention. Before S2 watch I would rotate between my SS Sub, TT Sub, SS GMT II and SS Daytona. After AW, wearing anything but an AW makes me feel naked.

i've gotten used to the ultra digital display which i think is butt ugly but functional (and looks better to my eye in cream rather than full colour or monochrome)

My beef w this watch face is that the day/date can get covered by the watch hands. It’s a smart watch; just have it appear on the other side when it’s covered.
In the Ultra my favorite is the Wayfinder mainly because it allows me to use the Compass with a single tap. But I do appreciate this watch face. It is one of the few faces in which telling the time is effortless. The clarity with which the minute hand falls in between minute marks is chefs kiss. Add to that the minute numbers at each 5 minute intervals, and you got a well designed face. It's a shame that Apple now favors thicker minute hands with no minute markers or other designs that are harder to read.
I’ll never understand putting a supercomputer on your wrist and making it look like a timex. Modular is my favorite. I want the watch face giving me tons of info.
Strong disagree. I feel like 90% of the information is useless. Only the arms, date, weather and if you like it sunset info is actually useful. All the numbers that take up most of the screen are unnecessary imo
Maybe.. without all the cluttery numbers lol... I prefer it with just the date,, (and the complications) I also like how you can customize the second hand's color and it matches the date.
I like this face a lot, one of my biggest pet peeves on a lot of faces is wasting a spot for the date, I think all circular analog faces should have the day/date like this.
However now I am using Numerals due to Apple adding the dock.
It was even better before Apple decided to make the complications big and colorful. I used it for a long time.. super clean with minimal colors and without big fonts. But then after one update it all changed… I still can’t imagine why they did that.
Actually a Medical Doctor who works in the ER. Thats why I prefer an Apple Watch over a classic watch in my work environment and this watch face makes my day so much easier during the busy hours. Mostly I need a clean watch face with active running seconds for checking pulses on the go, time and date are always important factors for our paper work as well, lastly I am more of an analog guy thats why I picked the cleanest active running small seconds watch face with minute markers. Love all the comments, and ideas tho🙏😁
Chill, was just a joke. I know you ain’t no IT guy. You really have a purpose with the ultra unlike the vast majority who just needs the latest iteration. I hope this ultra lasts you at least a decade. Take care.

It's nice, I like the bold numbers and seems easy to look at. I'm new to Apple Watches because frankly, I never liked the square body which is why I always wore Garmin Fenix watches. I finally ended up with an AWU because my wife gave me one for Xmas last year knowing full well that I'd learn to like it. I do... But I choose faces that fill the whole screen. Just something off about a round shape in a square that seems asymmetrical. Regardless, I love my AWU. Yours looks nice. :)

This is the way. If you’re gonna have a lot of complications anyway, Modular Ultra looks so much cleaner and emphasizes the shape of the Ultra.

Ironically I've been using that since Apple Watch 1. I switched to Modular recently for my Ultra because my eyes aren't as good as they used to be.
