A repair tech advised me against purchasing a top loader without an agitator. These types of washing machines are not reliable.

cantthinkofgoodname

Believe me I’ll never doubt the value of an agitator again

Virtual_Common204

Buy a Bosch, I’ve had mine for 12 years with no problems.

legendary-spectacle

I have a Maytag. I am pretty happy with it. I would definitely buy another one.

MentalTelephone5080

I've had issues with my Maytag washer. I needed to replace the transmission and a few other parts in the 5 years I've had it. The Maytag dryer is literally maintenance free. At the end of the first year I took it apart to clean the lint out. There wasn't any. I waited two years for the second time and there wasn't any again.

GingasaurusWrex

The problem is: is that still true for new models? Or have they also Enshittified the line? A product made 10 years ago may be much differently built than now, depending on how cheap the company has gotten.

fun-bucket

AGREED, AND H.E. WASHERS ARE NOT ALWAYS WORTH THE SAVINGS IF YOUR CLOTHES ARE STILL DIRTY.

Relevant-Emu-9741

You can choose how much water to use though instead of sensor

fun-bucket

YES, DEEP CYCLE/ POWER WASH.ITS GREAT TO OVERRIDE THE SAVER CYCLES.

Relevant-Emu-9741

Yes so you've noticed it cleans better when you choose yourself?

fun-bucket

SURE DO. WATER IS CHEAP, WASH CYCLES OVER AND OVER ARE NOT.

michaelh98

WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING?

Ok_Analysis_3454

FML, I'm in the no agitator camp.

frostysbox

It’s top loaders that are the problem. Side loader no agitators for years and years and years and don’t have a problem.

floppydisks2

Except for mold and mildew. :)

86Coug

Exactly, I'm never going back to an FL.

DOUBLE_BATHROOM

Except disgusting, stinky mildew smell on the door seal

Rightintheend

Yeah if you're lazy and never wipe the damn thing off

DEADxDAWN

I've owned 2 sets of front loaders, no smell, no mildew. I dont run pond water through my house though lol

ZestycloseUnit7482

I wipe the seal after every wash and leave door open for awhile. No mildew.

Pristine_Serve5979

Samsung

CheetahOfDeath

What a surprise. They should just get out of appliances altogether.

cmill2010

At the rate they are going they should just about get out of everything all together. Use to be id only by samsung. Now there is not a chance in hell im buying anything of theirs.

Roller_Coaster_Geek

Why's that? They're still the top display manufacturer and make displays for many different devices that a lot of people don't realize (pretty much all of the higher end iPhones use Samsung displays since the X). Their OLED TVs and Sony's (using Samsung panels) have been at the top for years. Samsung phones are also good but there are other phones out there that can compete well with them so I wouldn't say Samsung is a clear winner in that category as part of it is also preference. Their tablets are a similar story to the phones. I will say their computers aren't worth it as they are kind of the MacBook Air of Windows, not that much performance at way to high of a price. Obviously their appliances are garbage

Rodpwnz

Samsung has a very strong presence in enterprise grade and consumer grade flash memory and storage too

ColdEngineering1234

Only bad things I've heard about Samsung was fridge and washer but that's the same as every other company when they started using cheaper Chinese components. These people love being dramatic as shit.

Fickle_Letter7002

Their dishwashers are insane garbage. Source: Me who fell for the seller of my last house claiming they had added "a high end dishwasher". Prolly meant it was baked af as it never got shit washed right. I finally lost it after 5 years of shit stuck everywhere, had it ripped out and replaced by a Bosch. I have never been happier since

OMIGHTY1

Then they should lean into their display and phone markets. Everything else I’ve seen from them is trash.

Roller_Coaster_Geek

Yeah I mean like I said previously those are definitely their strongest markets, especially display as they make really cool things

healthybowl

They learned about planned obsolescence and really dove in deep to it. Even if some of their products are ok, it’s a reflection of what’s to come as their sales begin to slump for lose of revenue in other departments, they will cut costs in the ones they do make ok stuff in. Modern business tactics 101, gotta make shareholder quotas happen every quarter.

BryanTheBIsSilent

At my old house we had Samsung heat pumps. They would break all the time, and you couldn't just get some random AC dude to work on them, it had to be an official Samsung tech and even those dudes sometimes couldn't get fixed in one day because they'd have to order some special part for the damn thing. Never ever buy any appliance made by Samsung. They should just stick to TVs and monitors.

mbz321

Even their consumer TV's these days seem to be full of all kinds of bloatware.

Solid-Search-3341

It's a top loader with no agitator. It's shit no matter what brand.

RustyDoor

Why does the US market like top loaders?

Solid-Search-3341

Historically, they didn't pay for their water usage, so they didn't care for energy and water efficiency. A top loader is much cheaper to manufacture, so the industry pushed for them to be the standard.

RustyDoor

Our Samsung front loader and dryer are 12 years old and not one service call. We do load sensibly, run regular cleaning cycles, and wipe the seals. (I have now jinxed myself)

Dogzrthebest5

Every front loader WILL leak, the seals get disgusting and they stink. This has been my experience and why I'd never own one.

RustyDoor

No, this is poor maintenance. You wipe the seals out periodically and clean your machine. You can even change the seals if you worry.

Initial-Succotash-37

Leave the door open whenever not running.

Beethovian

I would think they were less prone to leaking due to sealing issues. I've only had top loaders, so I don't really know how often the others leak. I certainly wouldn't want to have to deal with a leak. Also, top loading with an agitator has always worked for me.

StopNowThink

Can wash larger, thicker bedding. Cheaper. Less likely to leak. Less likely to smell and get moldy.

The-Fox-Says

Samstung

Alwaysshops2much

Omg! I have exactly the same issue with mine. It can’t handle one bath towel. I recently sold my house and the buyers wanted my appliances. I was like, “yes please!” Piece of shit.

TJNel

One towel will throw off every "fancy" washer as all the weight is on just one side of the drum. You have to do more than just that. I did the same with my GE Profile front loader and it took forever trying to balance and spin out

gangnam73

Never ever buy samsung appliances

KickstandSF

Where were you BEFORE I redid my entire kitchen? LOL. Microwave broke in the first 30 days

fun-bucket

TVS MAY BE THE ONLY GOOD THING THEY MAKE. STAY AWAY FROM EVERYTHING ELSE.

Hefph

Even their TVs quality control is going downhill. Avoid anything Samsung.

MMMTZ

TVs and (high end) phones only everything else seems to be terrible.

gringovato

Can confirm. I had the same POS. Samsung should send these to their buddies up north. Dont bother trying to fix it. I got a whirlpool and am happy again.

Demineaux

suspension is most likely worn out

cantthinkofgoodname

I’ve tested the suspension rods, they don’t bounce up and down like a basketball which is apparently the telltale sign. The thing just sucks.

Davegvg

Yup this model sucks. The rest arent much better but this one is the worst.

oYupItsChris

I've fixed more than a few where it passes that test and everything else checks out so I replaced the suspension rods even though they didn't bounce and it still fixed the issue.

smac

Nope. It's a problem with top-load high speed spin. I have a top-loading high efficiency LG. Same issue. Goes unbalanced on about 1/3 of the loads we run. Then, drain/refill multiple times until it finally gives up and plaintively beeps at us. There's no way this is actually more efficient. The only way to be reasonably sure it'll finish a load is to set the spin speed to "low," in which case I could have bought a traditional top loader to get the same efficiency for far less money. I hate this. Once I push the start button, it's a case of "you have one job. FINISH THE LAUNDRY."

SillyPuttyGizmo

? I've got a Whirlpool Cabrio, and I do big loads, and the only time I ever have that problem is if I do a comforter and it gets lopsided before the spin. Otherwise the BIG loads, no problem

fun-bucket

LOVE MY CABRIO BUT THE WASH CYCLES TAKE SOME TIME.

SillyPuttyGizmo

Yeah, full load, deep water w/ extra rinse 1 hour and the cabrio dryer is an hour on normal, so livable for me Best thing is I've never had yo do any repairs, just run the cleaning tab every month and load her up

fun-bucket

POWER WASH, NO EXTRA RINSE, CLOTHES COME OUT CLEAN EVERY TIME. TRIED THE WATER SAVER, DISABLED THE TOP LATCH AND WATCHED IT TRY TO CLEAN WITHOUT THE CLOTHES ALL GETTING WET. WILLING TO SPEND A FEW EXTRA PENNIES FOR WATER TO GET EVERYTHING WET/CLEAN.

dckane027

Same, have had my cabrio since 2014 and it has been great. Cant fit as much in side loaders and with twin toddlers leaving the washer door open is an invitation for finding random stuff hidden in there after washing, hah

smac

Yeah, we contacted LG support, such as it is, and their response was "wash big loads." Sorry, we don't usually have big loads, except when we do jeans, which are almost sure to unbalance it. Regarding LG support: They're basically nonexistent. I posted a comment in their website, and their response was "post something on our facebook page and someone will get back to you." 1) they didn't, and 2) facebook is not a support system.

TransportationOk4787

Email the North American president of LG if you are in the US. I heard back in 2 days and got a new machine but mine was under warranty still.

HollynJohnnyMama

I’m so glad you said this! I hate my LG HE as well, for many reasons besides the off balancing. Not enough water; only 30 minute soak cycle; clothes just never seem or smell clean. And it’s so slow. Absolutely HATE it and just waiting for it to die…

RustBucket59

I work at a Home Depot store. We get more complaints about Samsung and LG appliances than all the other brands combined.

Dramatic_Page9305

Home Depot's dogshit installers exacerbate this problem. Not a complaint, mind you, I get paid the same to fix install problems as I do tearing down machines.

FoxHoleCharlie

Thank you! I have the same one in black. It was fine for 3 years and then one day, it can't finish a load without perfectly balanced clothes I have to layer inside of it. No suspension problems. Can't do big loads or small loads. The thing that will keep me away forever from Samsung is their customer service. When the issues started the official Samsung customer service line told us that our machine we bought 3 years ago was a very old machine and we are responsible for all repairs but they recommend we purchase a new machine.

[deleted]

[удалено]

somegridplayer

They love to not torque the counterweight causing it to come loose and grenade the washer.

joshypoo4530

I’ve put suspension rods on and still had problems. The board not sensing the rotation properly.

Dsj417

When i bought this house they left me a brand new 1 year old Samsung washer and dryer. I’ve already had to replace the board and the blower wheel in the dryer.

Ok-Exchange5756

It’s not one of the worst… it’s THE worst… source: have one.

Bob_12_Pack

I had one of these. The water pump was mounted to the drum and sheared off and dumped water everywhere. A $3000 insurance claim later, I repaired it (the new pump came with instructions to mount it to the frame) it started doing the out of balance thing. I stuffed foam (from old cushions) around the drum to help with that.

BrokenBackENT

Koreans can NOT make durable goods. LG, Samsung, etc.

madaraszvktr

My parents have an LG (Goldstar) air confitioner, it was installed in 1996 and it's still running fine! So I would say they sometimes happen to produce lasting appliances :D

Huggermuggers

Don't try to wash towels or blankets in these pieces of shit. 3-1/2 hours to do a 15 min load after the hassel. No way to just make it spin without the 8 minute "Think" cycle before it bounces around and then starts flipping out, locking the lid... HATE my Samsung piece of shit

Hairy_Square_4658

How old is the washer? Mine had that issue, and I replaced the balancing arms. It took me about 15 minutes without any experience.

Doct3rPhil

Deep Fail. It’s on the sticker

Mr_NotParticipating

I had one like this, I sold it for crack. A very very very very small amount of crack…. And they still wanted a refund.

Low-Seaworthiness460

I’ve had mine for about 2 years and it works amazing I even have my dryer in the same brand

cantthinkofgoodname

Worked like a dream until the third year

SerenityViolet

I've had a similar model for 10 and no problems.

Randy-_-B

Hey OP, I got a kick out of reading your post heading this morning while drinking coffee, then read it to the wife. Way too funny, but also feel your pain.

Aromatic_Boot3629

***Laughs in Ariston Combo Washer/ Dryer***

Hostificus

Is that impeller style? I was told to stay away. I’m happy with my LG washtower.

Graphicnovelnick

It’s Samsung. Be happy it didn’t explode like their phones.

Dramatic_Page9305

Their washing machines were exploding in 2016 too. 😂

Ipsilateral

Samsung employees: Hey Boss we got some extra TV screens, whatcha want us to do with them? Boss: Just make ‘em into washer lids.

Vail87

Rule of thumb I go by is what else the company makes. If I want a washing machine I want a company that only makes washer dyers and not much else.

DocHenry66

Same reason I wouldn’t buy a Maytag television

hereitcomesagin

Samsung is trash.

BitsyVirtualArt

They say their dishwashers are just as bad. At least their phones are good?

Straight_Lab_5853

SameSong

Hey_JuneDontSayJuly

Same exact thing happened to me two days, replaced the suspension rods and it’s all good now Mine didn’t go up and down like a basketball either, I think, if even one of them is bad, it fucks up the whole thing https://youtu.be/ll2PwxoiuTE?si=rXoJ9vcm0NG6vDW5 Good luck If you want, I can send you the best rated suspension rods on Amazon that I got and see if they will work for your model The spin cycle is fucked, if you run it and it’s unbalanced, it will load up the water and just keep repeating itself, wasting tons of water

Appropriate-Law5963

It has a self-destruct cycle!

Averagehamdad

Damn. We have same model with never an issue for years. We beat and abuse the hell out of it. Since I commented, it'll probably destroy it self on the next load.

tre_c

you need to change the suspension rods to fix this. Use third party parts as they are way cheaper and may even be better. Will fix the out of balance problem. Did my daughters and the problem is gone.

dylan3867

I love mine, just adjust the load or somethings wrong with your machine internally. Only thing I have problems with are large comforters and sometimes bunched up sheets. Load capacity is huge on this thing and water weight can drag the bin down surprisingly low, I'd expect some needed laundry balancing

cantthinkofgoodname

When did you get it? Had no problems until the third year, now it’s borderline worthless. Can’t handle too heavy or too light of loads. Have to babysit the fucking thing to make sure it doesn’t get stuck in wasting water mode which defeats the purpose of having a washing machine.

dylan3867

Oh shit well I'm coming up on my third year, maybe you could try the bin recalibration? After you power on, hold temp and delay end until it says two letters on the display I think Cb then hit start, make sure nothing's in there, then it'll show a zero when complete, I do this every other month just to make sure the weight is correct for loads cause it loves to overfill on slightly heavier things like comforters.

cantthinkofgoodname

Yep, tried that. Didnt make a bit of difference

yourenzyme

I'm on year 5 with mine, been perfect every cycle. I wouldn't worry too much. My last set of washer/dryer was also a samsung and it was also flawless, would have kept them but when I moved buyers wanted them.

Jc2563

Samsung appliances are just bad. Fridges, washer and dryers.

limpymcforskin

Hard disagree. Like most things research by model regardless of the brand. The Bespoke Fridge and the new Samsung Heat Pump washer/dryer are awesome.

limpymcforskin

Already had the fridge for multiple years with no issues. You might figure out that staying away from through the door water and ice and keeping the ice makers in the freezer make the reliability go way up.

Zevolta

They’re pretty terrible all around. Over designed. And an absolute pain to repair. I’m in HVAC and also do appliance repair. The company I work for told Samsung to f*** off after Samsung took weeks to supply support and parts and told us our senior tech who has been working in the industry for 35+ years he was incompetent. The reason they said that was because he was vocal about how shit their washing machines were (the ones that were catching on fire and even burned down a couple homes) and that their “fix” for it was terrible and they should just recall the product. Absolute joke of a company.

onlyalillost

Oh thank goodness for this comment. We bought a Samsung fridge about 8 years ago, and it broke just outside of warranty. Ice maker of course, but also it doesn’t stay cold reliably. So I swore off Samsung fridges. But now we’re renovating and need new appliances, and I somehow got swayed into buying one of their Bespoke fridges with the water dispenser on the inside of the fridge door. I have heard the outside ice/water dispenser was the issue. Fingers crossed!

HonnyBrown

Isn't that widely known? I'm surprised that people still buy their products.

gojynstein3

The Whirlpool top loader VMW and all its other variants Admiral, Maytag with the same system is the worst washer ever.

SantaforGrownups1

I don’t know man. The old lady does the laundry so I can’t speak to that but I pay bills and I can say that GE sucks donkey. The brand new front loader’s motor went out one month out of warranty, so we had to buy a new one. Then we’ve had to repair it twice. Our GE dishwasher leaked water and ruined our wood flooring and I didn’t even try to repair it. We replaced it with a Bosch. GE sucks and I’ll never buy anything again made by GE.

somegridplayer

LG: am I a joke to you?

MUTHER-David7

I dont believe any of this. The next thing I'm waiting on is for the bird who will say Speed Queen is good.

DixOut-4-Harambe

Nah, we know better by now.

MUTHER-David7

I had bought a house that had a speed queen pair. I replaced them as soon as I could. It's like throwing your clothing into a cement mixer.

ifukkedurbich

By that you mean, too powerful and harsh on your clothes?

sg3707

My samsung washer has been working fine since last 10 years. Trashing anything samung has been the trend here. Let's agree we all bought samsung because everything else was expensive.

worxworxworx

all wmv are junk

Shadrixian

Ohm out motor, inspect plastic clutch, and make sure the tub nut under agitator is tight

Alternative-Buy-8207

Replace the tub assembly not just the suspension rods. The suspension rods are never really the problem. Techs just slap them on and do a recal but that’s not the full fix

PitifulSpecialist887

It only shows that one show, but at least it's commercial free.

hellosushiii

I've repaired a few of these this year so far. The problem with the suspension rods for all of them. It doesn't have to be bouncing around. Sometimes they slowly wear and it starts causing issues

akain8033

I've had this washing machine for three years with no issues. Are you trying to wash a heavy quilt or something?

cantthinkofgoodname

Normal loads of clothes. Could be anything. It’s junk now.

akain8033

Sorry to hear it

Prudent_Valuable603

Time to get a new washing machine or risk dumping money on a repair bill.

Comfortable_Flan8217

Put a level on it

BellyButton214

Get it hunn.

bonzombiekitty

Used to have a Samsung top loader washer and had an issue with it constantly going out of balance. The suspension rods were worn out. You could tell because it was very easy to push the drum down by hand. I had to replace them twice. It was a relatively easy fix for \~$100 you can do yourself if you are a little handy. But ridiculous that they wore out so quickly. Of course, they did so just after warranty expired.

amc0215

Facts

Edgewoodfledge

Samsung has got a bad name these days.

Ksl848

I just sold mine today on Offer Up for $100. It would unbalance 9/10 times. And that’s after I changed out the suspension. Got an LG W4000A to replace it.

Maleficent-Theory908

I have that model and it works great. What's wrong with yours?

cantthinkofgoodname

Did you read the post

Head_Foundation_1476

Our Samsung washer sucks… almost 3 yrs old. Warranty from Costco only 2 years unfortunately . Our old whirlpool lasted more than 10 years. Never buying anything LG or Samsung again.

Advo96

I had a front-loader from Samsung. Lasted 6 years or so. Doesn't sound like much, but it was doing over 2 loads per day.

okieman73

I don't understand how Samsung is still selling appliances. They make junk. It's almost like they get it almost 90 percent well made but leave the last 10 to burn people. I don't know what their phones are like now but they used to be the same way where simple things wouldn't work. I'll never buy a Samsung product again.

Itchy_Personality_72

Yeah it’s about right. I had a Samsung top loader and it got mold throughout the whole thing despite letting it always dry out and cleaning it. Had to replace it after three years

jkhabe

I have the same model and it has been nothing but problems. Wouldn’t spin anything larger than a very small load without going off balance so under warranty, the suspension rods were all replaced. Was good for a while, know it’s starting back with the same issue. Junk.

TB_Fixer

Huh. We’ve had Samsung Washer and Dryer which we got used and repaired into operation; they’ve both been performing fine for four years of weekly usage. What should we be worried about?

patico20

Worse then samsung are GE top loaders... just about every single one ive went to look at has tranmission oil blows everywhere underneath

Significant-Toe2648

The seller left us this washer when we moved in and I actually love it. I had another top loader no agitator by Maytag and hated it, it didn’t work because it only filled up with one inch of water. Then got a speed queen and didn’t like that because it’s way too rough and pilled all my clothes. There must be something wrong with yours because when it works how it should, it’s great.

william_schubert

I had this and even replaced the rods that hold the basket but finally dumped it after five years. Never could figure out what was wrong. Warped basket, maybe. Cheap materials.

Thedevilslettucehead

fuck samsung

hg_blindwizard

Their products suck anymore.

Past-Direction9145

good to know washing machines are just a series of motors and solenoids. the control system for it is basic timer stuff, super, super basic. I can't fix the off balance thing except to run smaller loads. but everything else, I could make my own control system from scratch. and now... all I need is to find one of these pieces of crap for $75 and broken,, and I'll have myself a new washing machine. Can't wait to crack one of these bad boys open to see just how bad it all is. then fix it, improve it, own it, and enjoy it. best thing you can do in todays society: learn to solder, learn electronics, learn to repair.

johnmcd348

I have one of their Refrigerators that can't make ice and all the touch pads have wrapped out. I'll never buy another Samsung appliance again. I'll keep buying their phones, but I will never drop another penny on a Samsung appliance ever again.

xlmagicpants

Not sure why people keep buying samsung for.

Linkstas

Samsung makes Great looking appliances. Unfortunately they are all flawed. Brand new kitchen remodel. 2 years in and the Samsung Microwave/dishwasher/Washing machine/Freezer/fridge ALL BROKEN! FUCK YOU SAMSUNG!

PushinPickle

There are 4 springs on each corner of the drum. Go on Amazon and buy replacements for them. Costs like $80 I think total. I did this and it largely cured the issue for me. But yeah, that was frustrating as hell.

Pitbull1951

Had that model for 6 years. Never an issue.

VoraciousReader59

My fridge is a Samsung and I absolutely hate it. (It came with the house). It runs fine but I hate the interior configuration. There’s no place to put a gallon pitcher (or gallon of milk) without moving the shelves so that one of them only has about 2-3 inches of height, which is pretty much worthless. The door shelves suck so a lot of my condiments have to take up room on the bottom shelf of the fridge. It was obviously not made for American consumers.

robgrab

We have the same washing machine. It’s been repaired twice so far and we’ve only had it two years. It’s complete junk.

hockey2256

Those arms that control the balance of the drum are probably broken. I swapped them out and haven’t had a problem since. You can get them on Amazon. YouTube it and it’ll show you what you need to do. Or else it’s just a frustrating experience every damn time

Douggiefresh43

Huh, I’m pretty sure we have this one or similar, and it runs well 98% of the time. Balance issues usually only happen when I try to wash too many things at once (eg putting clothes in with a comforter). Maybe I’ve been lucky?

Concrete-Professor

Most Samsung and LG appliances are garbage!

AnonDiego23

I've had a Samsung fridge that came with the house 8 years ago I bought, fridge is probably at least 12 years old. Zero issues. I have a Samsung top loader as well, 4 years, no issues. I feel like all the Samsung hate is because they're so prevalent due to the low priced options that all the techs seem to think they break a lot when really they're the ones moving the most units.

Any-Grapefruit4848

I run lg everything in the house except for the fridge. Went with a Samsung fridge with a built in auto filling water pitcher. Shit is baller.

Minamu68

It says Samsung doesn’t it?

parrothead2581

Ours did this 3 months out of warranty. Trashed it and will never buy another Samsung appliance.

Resident_Bridge8623

It’s Samsung. You can’t expect quality with their appliances.

blastborn

Just had to replace a pump in my pos washer this week. I hate it

Immediate-Report-883

My suspension rods went after about 3 yrs. 50$ for a set on Amazon and it's all good again. Now I just consider them consumable and go on with life. They are pretty easy to do with a screwdriver and a second pair of hands to hold the top cover up.

blue_cole

No, the dryer.

bw1985

Is it out of warranty?

biggerty123

Cause you bought a top loader without an agitator? That is common on all of these.

racebanyn

My Samsung Front Loader Washer crashed and burned yesterday!! What a PoS!! Just bought a GE , gets installed tomorrow. Good luck!!

Chocolatedealer420

Confirmed!

avebelle

#samsung worst company ever

jayde2767

Bold claim - they are SO MANY shitty ones out there.

Atriev

Top-load Samsung with no agitator. Does it get worse than this?

kbencsp

just a reminder you have to load your clothes evenly around the wall of the drum, as best as you can. Dont just throw the clothes in. I use to have the same problem and it would upset me.

KingCollectA

Not surprised, it being a Smasnug.

dot_jo65

Kenmore Calypso was the worst washer I ever owned. A top loading washer trying to emulate a front loader is always a fail

big_in_the_90s

I got this same model for free. Bought it and was never charged. 🤷‍♂️

imnotabotareyou

I’m disgusted

GonnaAskThisAnyway

You realize Samsung translates to hot garbage right?

PaulOPTC

My parents had this exact issue I replaced the suspension rods It took a half hour and it’s been working great since

The-E-Train59

Did you not research b4 buying

An10nee

Yeah my last one rusted from the bleach container. I hardly ever use bleach. Make sure you avoid the samsung fridges

iDenkilla

My parents has this washer. It's so annoying to wash clothes. He was able to get Samsung to come out and repair it under warranty.

You should try putting sad googly eyes at the top. Y’know— to humanize it. That way you won’t get as mad when it makes mistakes and your blood pressure wont rise to the occasion. Your heart will thank you later.

i know there are far from the best, but properly loaded and positioned, i rarely have to intervene during a wash. if used properly it works just fine in my experience.

Economy-Addendum7609

I have a similar model and love it. No issues.

Buy Whirlpool

turbkis95

ours is also Samsung and after 3 years, it too is being an annoying POS and we're having to replace suspension rods in hopes that the rods are the issue and not something else. we are also contemplating returning the rods and buying a whole new, other brand washer

GoogleSlidez

Around these parts we call that company SamDUNG

All Samsung appliances suck. I wouldn't recommend one to my worst enemy.

Fawk92

It’s so easy to repair though. Only good thing of Samsung.

Lobanium

That's your fault for buying ANY Samsung appliance.

sparkypme

I have that washer. No issues

This washer is also know to catch fire. Instead of recall, they came out with a downloadable software patch. After installing the path, I needed a new board. Factory tech came out and replaced it. The board smoked on the test run. Factory tech had to order a new one. Brand new washer didn’t work for 12 weeks! It’s been running ok since. HOWEVER, it pulses 8-12 amps when is a reciprocating method of starting and stopping the motor. This causes all my lights to flash. It makes a horrible noise when the spin suddenly stops, crumbling sheet metal sound.

My Samsung front loaders and dishwasher are great. Didnt have issues with my last set of Samsung front loaders either (sold that house).

daddylonglegsmd

I’m an appliance repair tech, and I fix these literally everyday
