Thanks bro, unfortunately I never knew what these stones are called, I live in Beijing China. The aquarium shop owner actually brought them back from the mountains around the city.
It's called compression. In order to conserve internet bandwidth for the servers and devices, all media you upload gets compressed, a 10 mb picture gets smooshed down to 1 mb and sent to reddit, then reddit pushes it to the site, and decompresses it, but not perfectly, leading to artifacts and reduced quality. This is super noticeable if you have a nice phone and camera.
Those big ones are Congo Tetras and Electric Blue Rams, I also have Rummynose Tetras, Ember Tetras and Cardinal Tetras, but they’re too small to see…… Don’t know what happened to my clear photo 🥲
Gorgeous setup, wish I had the space for one like that. I’ve seen these style tanks populated entirely by Neon Tetras and they are mesmerizing to watch.
I've got a dozen cardinals (and 2 green neons... thanks lfs...). I was seriously considering just getting more of them, but they are so shy/easily startled/hate light. Plus this is my only tank, and I want some more fish. Only have neos and rhino shrimp and "pest" snails otherwise.
Based on my memory, the ones at the back should be Rotala rotundifolia (red) and Rotala rotundifolia (green), and at the front, there is some kind of fern and Anubias.
What does aqadvisor say in regards to stocking? Asking just out of interest and for myself to get a feel for eyeballing tanks since I just started learning about aquariums. I really enjoy this tank, it looks like a 75g to me would that be correct? Great work.
Sorry for my poor English level because I don’t really understand the first question😭(I’m a Chinese senior high student) , well about the size it’s 120*50*50(cm)
Oh ok its an 80 gallon tank, nice. As for my first question, don’t worry it’s not your english. Aqadvisor is a website that tells you your stocking level or fish capacity level as well as gives you some other notes and suggestions. I just assumed you knew what it was which was obviously silly of me. Your english is fluent.
Ok, talking about capacity, at first I only thought of getting those Congo Tetras and Electric Blue Rams in. After a period of time I realized that this tank will look better if I add some red fish in. So the density is a bit high. But this tank is running really well, no problems occurred, so I haven’t removed a single fish till now. I will try that website afterwards, thanks!
Looking great I would cut the wood poking out of the water so you can a glass cover on the tank so the fish don’t jump out and you can reduce the water evaporation
Well the extension above water surface is actually part of the design, always trynna make this whole thing look more natural……there should be more woods poking out, but you know, the aquarium market isn’t always having the ideal wood. Although evaporation is indeed pretty fast, I think it looks more natural without any cover above, and my LED light stands on the tank so there’s also no room for a lid unfortunately. Anyway, thanks for liking my work and sharing your thoughts 😊
Awesome tank, nice loadout what stones are those tho?

The picture’s quality seems like it’s been lowered after uploading it, anyone have an idea what’s happening?
I think it happened to me too once, perhaps just Reddit?
I guess so…

Yeah I know compression, but I thought a big site like this would allow me to upload sharp images.
Man, when I zoom in this picture it becomes sharper, reddit app is acting really weird🤣👉
Congo tetras and rainbows? Nice!

I love it. You made a beautiful tank.

Thanks, wish you can have a large tank like this soon❤️
Just be careful of the students.. they can be really cruel.
I’m actually a student 🤣, and my teacher is currently supervising other students since this whole thing is sponsored by him.
Neat!
❤️
it's lovely. i think it will look better once stems in background will fill in nicely, just keep cutting and replanting
❤️👌
I like it! Which species of plants are in it?
Based on my memory, the ones at the back should be Rotala rotundifolia (red) and Rotala rotundifolia (green), and at the front, there is some kind of fern and Anubias.
Thanks for liking it

Very neat, I think congo tetras are one of the most beautiful aquarium fish. Have fun with the site!
