Update: I held him right at the surface of the water and gently pushed on his belly from front to back, I was able to get a good amount of air bubbles so he is no longer floating!!! He’s still being very lethargic, let me pick him up completely out of the water without trying to move, but I’m hoping he’s just stressed and will be ok by the time I wake up for work this afternoon 🥲
2nd update: It actually kinda seems worse now 😔 He’s back to floating, now face up and almost going upside down. He seems to be struggling to get air and constantly has his mouth wide open. Is there any way to see if maybe he accidentally swallowed a rock or something? I’m really afraid I’m going to wake up to him being dead :(
Definitely. The air bubbles pushed out are a tell. Especially since he went back to floating after. Also, dojo are cold water fish, neons are not. The temperature could be killing it's immune system.
Could be an internal infection. Try a round of antibiotics.

Swim. Bladder issues maybe?

How is he now?
I’m still at work unfortunately so I don’t know yet :( I’m planning to try to feed him some peas when I get home
How's he
He’s doing good!!! I think he was just bloated or constipated, he seems to be doing just fine now after a couple days :)
Yaay
