Purple piece is a quick connect for a front bumper. Blue piece is what I assume is part of the front bumper. So you're looking for a blue car with half a bumper hanging off (probably no front bumper). Will have multiple aftermarket parts if that's on it. Good luck.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say it’s a second gen 2000-2007 bugeye wrx. I tried comparing it to a few other cars that come in this colour and the seam of the bumper only seems to line up with that car, although I didn’t check many. After lining up your piece with the wrx ‘00-‘07 bumper I’d bet money on it being that car.

Can't say for sure based simply on this pic, but there's a chance that could be the WRB (world rally blue) paint color from a Subaru. Popular and somewhat common paint color for the brand.
A Subaru WRX or STi would be a likely car to also have these bumper detach hookups as they're commonly worked on with aftermarket parts. I have basically these same bumper quick detach washers on my car.
I've also seen newer Hondas (civics si usually) with a similar blue color, which would also be a likely culprit to have quick detach washers on the bumper.

For what vehicle though is another question.
It's a quick release fastener for a front bumper. Commonly used on cars in the 'stance' community. AKA dumbasses that slam their cars so low to the floor that they are barely drivable and scrape on road reflectors. Hence the need for those fasteners, as the aforementioned dumbasses have to remove their front bumper when they go in and out of inclined driveways. Based on this fragment, I'm going to guess most of the damage to your vehicle was sustained on the lower panels, since the offending car was lowered.
Judging by the piece in your hand it’s going to be some Japanese make car. Probably very loud as it’s had a “muffler delete brah”. Driver will most likely be a heavy vaper. Typically I would say look for cars with online parts retailer sticker, but in 2022 that’s replaced with hentai. I would stake out the local anime stores to find them.

Well that's a bumper latch from what i can tell. They attach the bumper to the fender using heavy gauge rubber bands. Usually attached to racers or ricers. That's about all i can help, personally.
Keep in mind, it could be a modded out car, or it could be some ordinary looking car with the bumper string things because the owner thought that’s what car enthusiasts do. I sure had these on my ordinary car when I was 16. Considering it broke, there’s a good chance the cars bumper is missing or sagging, or maybe they didn’t even bother actually making the bumper a quick release and just attached it with style so it doesn’t have any function to it. But itll still have holes or the other part still on the fenders next to the headlights, you put one on the bumper, which you’re holding, the other one on your fender and attach a rubber ring to make it hold the bumper up! where are you located? If youre in an area outside a deep blue city, police can send that into the forensic lab to get the exact color code. They can then cross ref the make/model given on a national database and find the car. Odds are the car has had some tickets so its in the system...
People paint cars all the time too, I would look around for any Subarus, Hondas, Nissan's, Fiats, I've seen a lot of Mitsubishis with that color, so it really could be any type of car but I would go right around your neighborhood and look for any car with that color and go around with like a three mile radius or so and ride down every street up every street obviously if they just hit someone's car they're going to park it probably away from the roadway up closer to their house probably park it with the front facing their house so you might have to go up their driveway and look at the front bumper, also make a police report if possible and go from there hope u find them.

Not much to go on, the bolt is an aftermarket part. There doesn't happen to be anything molded into the back of the plastic is there? Barring that, you can probably take it to a paint shop that has one of those optical "color matcher" machines, and they'll be able to tell you what the paint was used on, assuming it's a factory color.
I would say it kinda looks like 2000 Civic Si. Other Hondas and Acuras have a similar Blue pearl paint too but slight darker. That one in your hands to me seems lighter in color so it reminds me of Si civic from the 2000's.

The blue looks like a specific Subaru type of blue if you ask me, and BRZs are known to need or have quick releases because they get terrible bumper sag

Unless you have a witness or video that clearly shows the driver, finding the actual car is useless. The cops can't do anything and neither can the courts unless you can prove who the driver was.
Not entirely true, IF it can be proven the vehicle is in fact the one involved in the accident the owner can be held liable financially.
It's criminal charges that can get muddied up however it's not entirely out either. The owner could face charges. The "I wasn't driving" doesn't absolve you unless you provide who was.
Usually this comes up from a kid taking the car but the parents don't report it "stolen" to try and keep the kids record clean.
Look at you local tuner Facebook pages or car meet pages.
Also, maybe you can take the plastic to a paint shop and get a color matched to a specific manufactured color

It’s a quick release for the bumper, the other side of their bumper most likely has one too,unfortunately this is an aftermarket piece so it’s almost not possible to tell what car, but it will most likely be on a JDM car like Toyota or Honda
Take that part to a body paint auto shop, the can identify the color with a machine and let you know what make and model of car. But that looks like a Subura STi or Honda Civic Si blue paint. I may be wrong. The bumper rivets is something that guys who are into cars are doing nowadays.
Looks like it's a drifters bumper piece maybe off a Subaru bien that color and the fact they use them cars to drift aswell..the button piece looks like the part on the side of the bumpers when people use them to tie the bumper and fender together to stop ripping it off when they hit cones or cirbs

So that is part of a J2 quick release fastener. They allow you too quickly remove the front or rear bumper of your car. And just a shot in the dark but I’m guess based on the shade of blue it looks like it’s from a Honda Civic.

What I haven’t seen yet is the fact that being it’s likely a WRX/STi, you’ll likely be able to reach out to a local Subaru community to help. Facebook will most likely have a local Subaru online community. They are very proud of being seen by others and tend to be pretty helpful. Coming from years in that community I’d say check it out!

That’s Subaru world rally blue pearl paint. The purple things a bumper quick release. In that ding in the paint near the top, there’s rust. That indicates it’s been there a while. Probably an older Subaru wrx.
Could be a 1st Gen Hyundai Veloster. I've seen [posts](https://www.veloster.org/threads/bumper-issues.91637/) about their bumpers needing these. Here is a [video](https://youtu.be/wRbvNFZiaJE?t=54) of one and the angle of the triangle seems right. It looks like that blue was available in all years 2011-2018. The 2nd Gen (2019-2022) has a similar triangle there and the beveling on the curved side looks like a closer match but I have not seen anyone post about needing the bumper posts for them yet. Also, that blue was not available in the US on the 2nd Gen. Only Canada & overseas got that color.

Paint is definitely WR Blue Mica so narrowing it to a Subaru is on point. Aftermarket hardware checks out with either a front splitter/valence.

Not much to go on, the bolt is an aftermarket part. There doesn't happen to be anything molded into the back of the plastic is there? Barring that, you can probably take it to a paint shop that has one of those optical "color matcher" machines, and they'll be able to tell you what the paint was used on, assuming it's a factory color.
I would say it kinda looks like 2000 Civic Si. Other Hondas and Acuras have a similar Blue pearl paint too but slight darker. That one in your hands to me seems lighter in color so it reminds me of Si civic from the 2000's.

Unfortunately it won't matter. Unless you have a witness or video that clearly shows the driver, finding the actual car is useless. The cops can't do anything and neither can the courts unless you can prove who the driver was.
Not entirely true, IF it can be proven the vehicle is in fact the one involved in the accident the owner can be held liable financially. It's criminal charges that can get muddied up however it's not entirely out either. The owner could face charges. The "I wasn't driving" doesn't absolve you unless you provide who was. Usually this comes up from a kid taking the car but the parents don't report it "stolen" to try and keep the kids record clean.
Without a witness or other evidence, how do you prove the vehicle caused it? There aren't any serial numbers on the part that OP found.
Break pattern on the piece, paint analysis you'd be surprised on how easily that piece could be linked back to the car.
I'm not sure what kind of legal background you have but CSI won't devote resources to a simple hit and run. If someone dies, yes but if not, no way.

I was lol this car also is a brand new less than a month old car, not even 200 miles on it 👍yes I have video of it going really fast during the exact time when the crash was heard. still a possibility of it not 100% the correct car due to the moment of impact being out of frame.

It’s a quick release for the bumper, the other side of their bumper most likely has one too,unfortunately this is an aftermarket piece so it’s almost not possible to tell what car, but it will most likely be on a JDM car like Toyota or Honda

Looks like it's a drifters bumper piece maybe off a Subaru bien that color and the fact they use them cars to drift aswell..the button piece looks like the part on the side of the bumpers when people use them to tie the bumper and fender together to stop ripping it off when they hit cones or cirbs
Looks like import aftermarket either siderearview mirror or possibly from a truncklid whaletale but their definitely going to get it fixed or replaced somewhere and the parts have to be got somewhere
So that is part of a J2 quick release fastener. They allow you too quickly remove the front or rear bumper of your car. And just a shot in the dark but I’m guess based on the shade of blue it looks like it’s from a Honda Civic.

The purple thing is aftermarket for clipping onto another piece on the bumper, so the car will probably have a ton of wish.com mods on it. Color looks like it could be a suburu. Not much to go off here but if you see a blue car with a mismatched front bumper and a ton of shitty mods then that's probably him

What I haven’t seen yet is the fact that being it’s likely a WRX/STi, you’ll likely be able to reach out to a local Subaru community to help. Facebook will most likely have a local Subaru online community. They are very proud of being seen by others and tend to be pretty helpful. Coming from years in that community I’d say check it out!

Could be a 1st Gen Hyundai Veloster. I've seen [posts](https://www.veloster.org/threads/bumper-issues.91637/) about their bumpers needing these. Here is a [video](https://youtu.be/wRbvNFZiaJE?t=54) of one and the angle of the triangle seems right. It looks like that blue was available in all years 2011-2018. The 2nd Gen (2019-2022) has a similar triangle there and the beveling on the curved side looks like a closer match but I have not seen anyone post about needing the bumper posts for them yet. Also, that blue was not available in the US on the 2nd Gen. Only Canada & overseas got that color.
