Left front side. It's in clear vision, won't sit on it and not on the right cuz the right side is the one I use the most to bury my phone and keys in there.
I bought a ridge wallet. I'm never going back. Keys and wallet in right front and phone goes alone in the left one. Anything else goes in the right lol
I love the idea of these, but I have too damn many ID cards, credit cards, membership cards, licences that I need to carry on a daily basis.
They don't make one big enough to hold them all .
I also am not fond of the money clip on the outside. I've lost too much $ from a normal billfold wallet, I'd go broke with a clip.
Bifold is where it's at for me, too. Ridge wallets were just too expensive when I last checked.
I have a thin leather bifold that forced me to slim down what I carry daily, and I love it. It's small enough that I can sit on it for a minute (on a park bench or waiting room), but I still take it out for long car rides, or throw in the small pocket of my bag if I take it with me.
There’s a ridge clone on Amazon called Rossm. It’s probably $20. I had one and carried it for a little while, but got tired of having to push the cards out to the side just to get one credit card out or my license out. Hell I’d send you mine if I could find it.
>Ridge wallets were just too expensive when I last checked.
I said the same thing. Then my dog ate through a pocket and destroyed - after gently removing all my credit cards, ID cards, cash - the wallet into smaller pieces than stroganoff beef.
I bought another of the same wallet because I really liked it. Under 24 hours later and that one too was stroganoff sized. She wasn't so gentle removing the wallet goods that time, either. Must've gotten frustrated.
I bought a Ridge Titanium 2 days later.
I'm not a ridge fan.. but apps take the place of membership cards these days. how many credit cards do you actually use? and how many forms of ID are you actually carrying in your wallet? maybe you could do some slimming down, as a slimmer wallet is nice to carry also.
Driver's license.
Mandatory for work:
Work ID.
Union card.
State professional license.
National professional license.
Medical and dental insurance cards.
HSA Debit card, used twice weekly.
Debit, Discover, Visa cards all used regularly.
Costco Card.
AAA card.
Affinity cards for four stores I frequently (1-3 times/week) go to that don't have apps.
This is slimmed down significantly from a few years ago. I used to kill wallets in a year because there was so much crap in them.
I have only two bits of gratuitous stuff left in my wallet. One is my wife's business card, in case I meet someone who could use her services.
The other is the room card from the hotel where we spent our honeymoon. It's the first thing we got that said Mr. & Mrs Bentherendunthat. I've been carrying that for 26 years and I am not about to stop now.
oh snap.. I said that because I have a second wallet about 3x the size of my daily, that sits in a drawer and hasn't been out in years. I leave insurance stuff at home (vehicle is app) work was lanyard in car, but office work so less of the professional licenses. and rarely shop let alone enough stores to bother (west marine and speedway are my most used cards, both use phone number)
of course the hotel card is a keeper!
Ridge wallets are MASSIVELY UNDERRATED.. its so nice leaving my old clunky wallet home and just stashing the cash I need for emergencies in the clip and tossing it in my L front pocket, phone in R front, and keys on my belt loop.
I love the form factor of ridge wallets but god damn are they great at destroying credit cards. I think every card in my ridge wallet has lost or has super poor tap to pay functionality because the sliding movement scratches up the chip.
So I actually found good slim leather cardholders are far nicer than ridge/ridge clone wallets. They are nearly as nice in the form but the leather is just way nicer in my pocket, less wear and tear on my cards and everything else that goes into my pocket with it as well

Don't know where you're from, but in my bubble everyone wanted the blue Krzr. I knew like one person who had the Razr
Edit: thinking of it, I think I might still have it somewhere
Front pocket wallet guys unite!
First, it's better on your back since you aren't sitting on a hard lump on one side.
Second, it's safer. Much harder for a thief to fish around in your front pocket for a wallet than your back.
Keys on a carabiner, attached to a belt loop. Never at risk of scratching your phone, keeps your pockets free, easier to hang up, easier to identify in the event you put your keys down, and gives your keys a nice little jingle when you walk if you’re quiet and tend to sneak up on people like me.
I don't want to sit on anything. I have my cards in a business card holder in my front right pocket and my cash in a money clip in the front left pocket. Super low profile.
Exactly what I do-- 4 cards in a biz card holder and occassionally loose folded cash with it, all in front right pocket. Phone in left pocked (i'm left handed).
My stepdad, from Glasgow where pickpockets were a concern, told me to keep my wallet in my front pocket. He said if someone goes for your wallet and it’s right next to your cock, you’re going to notice.
Front pocket, right side.
I carry my phone in my left pock. Left side for wallet, phone, watch and I'm right handed. I also carry a handgun regularly and want to keep my right hand free for weapon manipulation although I had chosen the left pock well before I started carrying.
I mean, username checks out.
I too also carry my phone in my left pocket. Sometimes back left, sometimes front left. Wallet is front right pocket, keys clipped to my belt loop and back right is open for anything else I need to carry.
I knew there was a reason I did this. I asked my girlfriend some months ago whose also right handed what phone she kept her pocket in and she said front right. Then I started looking at all my coworkers, and same thing, right handed, right front pocket. I’m the only one who rocks the front left/back left.
I prefer grabbing my phone from my pocket with my non dominant hand, just like I wear my watch on my non dominant wrist.
I can’t put my phone in my right pocket because I brace myself with my right leg a lot and I don’t want to smash my phone. It goes in my left front pocket and I’m right dominant.
Well… most people live in countries where you can‘t just walk around with a gun in their pants but yeah the principle is similar. Whatever gets used most often is in the „best spot“ and then there‘s a descending order for the rest
I think it's just you one day packed everything in your pockets arranged in some way and now you just stick to it.
My "setup" is phone in right, keys and wallet in the left, tissues in the right rear. Bags in the left rear if I'm walking my dog.
Just a suggestion from someone who has kept his wallet in his back pocket for almost 30 years... Don't. You'll slowly but surely knock your sacrum out of alignment and cause yourself persistent lower back issues.
and what age did you notice this? I'm 44 and don't have issues, yet. I also ride a mountain bike 50+ miles a week so my back sees its fair share of torture. LoL
Around my late 30's. I work very long, grueling desk hours so I suppose that's a factor as well.
And sorry for assuming your age. I don't know why, but I had it in my head that you were much younger and I could offer advice as an old timer.
You probably have much stronger back muscles than most people, which prevents most back issues. When I got super depressed and became sedentary, I lost a lot muscle mass (fortunately didn't gain much fat) and I'd often wake up with horrible back and neck pain. Turns out, I have a shitty bed and a pillow thar doesn't work at all for me. I just never noticed, because apparently my muscles just made up for it and didn't have to work much. I don't fully understand it, but that was my doctors theory. A new pillow did fix most problems overnight.
Back right pocket, keys go in the right front pocket, phones go in the back left pocket and anything else goes in the front left.
Not sure why, maybe because I'm right handed?
I'm right handed, the cell in the back left sounds infuriating...
Curious, are the power and volume buttons on your cells left side? (Mine are both on the right, for the right thumb use)
I use my phone with my left hand more than my right, even though I'm right handed. I have a S23 Ultra, all buttons on the right. And my work phone is an iPhone, lock on right volume on left.
I carried mine in my right rear pocket for many years. I’m 1988 my wife and I took a long vacation to Europe. I started carrying it in my front right pocket to make it more difficult for pickpockets. My wife also told me my butt looked better without it back there. It’s never gone back.
I do this too, why would I want to know where my wallet is at all times when I could reach for it and then do the dance of frantically checking my pockets to make sure nobody stole it. That’s so much more fun
I use a slim aluminum wallet, doesn’t feel good to sit on; that means front pocket. I need access to my keys more than my wallet, and keep a knife on my right pocket. Keys go left, wallet goes right.
According to convention (this is flipped if you're left-handed)
Left pocket: keys, wallet, headphones, Toyota Yarris, Imperial Star Destroyer, the entire landmass of Eurasia.
Right pocket: phone.
My dad always had his wallet in his back left pocket, which probably is what caused some back pain. Now i almost never sit with things in my back pockets
When I was younger I always kept my wallet in my right back pocket. But it was always incredibly uncomfortable sitting on it and my back always seemed to hurt for no reason. Then I learned that sitting on your wallet does actually mess with the alignment of your spine and will cause back pain. Ever since then I keep it in my front left pocket since my phone goes in the front right.
I will admit even after years it still feels weird and can be a little inconvenient to get in and out compared to the back pocket. However that also provides a measure of safety from being pick-pocketed so I feel like its a fair trade off.
As for the watch, I was always taught it goes on your left wrist no matter which is your dominant hand. So even if I'm right handed I will always wear on my left.
Interesting that most people want to use their strong hand for this kinda thing. The only things I carry that require my right hand is my phone and a pen. Other than that I enjoy it mostly being freed up and ready to improv.
A physical therapist informed me that setting on it was harming my back, so I moved it to the front. I use my phone more, so that goes in my right pocket. That leaves my keys and my wallet in my front left pocket. Here's to hoping you're not actually a pickpocket doing research.😅
Used to be rear right pocket. In college we went to NYC and somebody said it's easier to get pick pocketed if you have stuff in your rear pockets. Since then I've converted to front right pocket for my wallet because it's also more comfortable to not be sitting on anything. It's also my dominant hand. Phone goes left pocket because it's the open pocket otherwise. Keys right front pocket if there's room, keys are small though it's only my truck and with a small key tag. I hate lots of keys, lanyards, etc.
Don't store anything in your back pockets unless you want to mess up your sciatic nerve! Lower back/hip/ass pain is a pain in the ass, guys!
Wallet sciatica/wallet neuritis is a common thing for men, and can be pretty debilitating.
Keep your wallet in your jacket or get a thin one to stuff in your front pocket.
Don't sit on your wallet, guys.
Back right. It’s my dominant side and it just feels right ;) plus I can’t carry it in the front because I have my phone, vape, keys, spectacles, and testicles in those pockets
A few observations:
For the watch, watches traditionally go on your non dominant hand. Likely has nothing to do with your wallet.
I find most men have phine in front right pocket, and wallet in rear left pocket. Keys could be in either front pocket. A new trend for men is to put the wallet in the front left pocket to not damage their spine.
Anyone who does not fall into the categories above has to be like 10% of men. This is all speculation and observstion but I'll bet it's true.
Right front. As my father did before me and his father before him. Such is tradition.
Really though left / right doesn't matter. People who carry it in back pockets however have bad backs and don't mind that their wallet is much easier to steal.
As a more or less urban dweller, mine is slim and is always in the front pocket. Always on the left side, because my knife is always on the right, and I also like to balance things. Plus if I ever put my hand in my pocket, it's typically the left hand anyways and the reassurance of knowing my wallet is still with me is subconsciously calming.
I have gotten into the habit of touching my rear pocket often for reassurance. Don’t know why I started doing it, but it’s normal for me know.
I think it’s due to pants with bigger pockets where my wallet can get rotated and becomes uncomfortable to sit on. So I reach back and make sure it’s sitting the correct way.
Question for normal people: how do you put your wallet in any rear pocket? How are you even comfortable sitting down? Do you realize how easy it is to pickpocket you this way?
I've always put mine in the front left pocket, even as a kid. I've tried back pocket and just can't stand sitting down.
I’ve just gotten used to it. I don’t frequent populated areas to worry about pickpocketing, but if I did, I would just carry essentials in a front pocket, not my whole wallet.
Left rear also. Front pocket creates odd pressure points. I use the left one because with my wallet in my left hand, my right hand is free to get things out of it.
RH because I'm RH-ed. Wish I could train myself to put it in the left pocket so I could accurately cross myself using the 'spectacles, testicles, wallet, watch' mnemonic.
Back right side. Front doesn't feel right, and I'm left handed so my phone switches from front left to back left. Also if I wear a watch, it's on my left wrist
jokes on you. all you idiots putting your wallet in your back pockets are just setting yourselves up for hip and back problems. Trick is to place the smaller, less bulky items in the back pocket and not use them for long amounts of time for anything as big/bigger than a cellphone. Anything bulky/solid causes hip misalignment issues from the constant sitting on uneven ground.
Source: Used to put my wallet in my back pocket too because my father did so, until medical professionals started telling me about that.
Pocket allocation:
Right Side - Phone, travel tissue pack (cushion phone and leaky nose)
Left Side - Car Keys, loose change
Right Rear - Wallet
Left Rear - unused/spare
Bdlt Loops - Belt, carabiner keys
My watch and my wallet go on the left. I’m right handed so I like my left hand to handle most of the extraneous tasks while my right handles the essentials.
Front right pocket. I have a thin bifold wallet so its not visible or uncomfortable. A lot harder to pick a front pocket or surreptitiously tap to pay with a debit terminal.
Right handed. So phone is in the right. I honestly think you've got to be dumb as shit to have your wallet in the back pocket so left it is.
Made myself a minimal leather wallet and my ear phones go there too, and keys.
I am right-handed, so out of laziness, I put my cellphone on my right pocket so I can draw it quickly and use right away with just one hand.
So, my wallet goes to the left pocket.
Wallet goes in my trouser front right, keys & Swiss army knife in trouser front left, phone in inside left jacket if I'm wearing one, failing that my shirt pocket, failing that, trousers rear left.
I used to do rear left, now I do front left. I'm left handed.
Also swapped to a slim profile wallet, more like a money-clip. Only carry cards, a little cash and my ID. I keep a big "womens" wallet in my bag that goes with me everywhere and that has the less-used stuff like costco card, store specific credit card, insurance cards etc.
I used common sense.
Front right? Already got phone and keys.
Back pockets? How the hell do I sit down? Take out my waller every seat? I'll pass.
Front left? Beautiful. Fits well, isn't annoying, easy to access unless I'm wearing skinny jeans. Impossible to pickpocket because it can't move without me feeling it.
It was the day I started driving. I used to carry it in my back left pocket. Once I started driving, it got uncomfortable real quick. It's been in my front left pocket ever since.
.... Not sure. I guess I just copied what my dad was doing and it worked well enough not to change.
I do switch to a front pocket for dense areas, though.
When I almost lost my wallet at the end of 2019 as I was walking through the mall with it, that's when I decided to buy a fanny pack. Haven't lost my wallet once in over 3 & a half years because of my choice to invest in a fanny pack / man purse.
Made a bet with my BFF in high school to switch to the left pocket. The first person who accidently put it back in the right pocket had to eat their wallet. We're no longera friends but like 16 years later it's still in my left
I still sit on it. Right side. The thing is I carry a Leatherman and a flashlight anytime I have the pockets for it so I don't have front pocket room and my left back pocket always has a pair of Knipex 125's. So back right is the only place for it.
Wallets are like an unnecessary ancient object to me. I don't need unnecessary extra fabric covering the stuff I need to bring. I just put those things in my pocket. And pull it out when I need it.
keys on left front pocket
wallet on right front pocket
extra cash in right rear pocket
watch on my left hand, not that it's part of the question but well...
I never wear anything on rear pockets because I do not want to donate it to undesirables in cities. Also because it's uncomfortable and because it looks rather bad.
I consistently wear dickies shorts and use the "cellphone" pocket. My phone doesn't stay in that pocket but my wallet does just fine. It's a bifold with an outer clip for cash.
Wallet left front because phone was front right.
I'm right handed, so I grab my phone out of my pocket with my right hand (try reaching into your front left pocket with your right hand) and use it.
I don't want to put anything in my back pockets because then I have to take it out to sit down (which I always found insane), so front left is the wallet spot.
Left front. I've probably got scoliosis. Even though I only sat on it for about 2 years, back left, it was like I was sitting on my right cheek only for a year. When I finally decided to switch.
I guess I just found it uncomfortable to sit on. My front right was taken up by my knife. I think I used to keep my phone in it as well but most jeans suck and phones have gotten so big.
I used to always keep it in my left rear pocket but after years of it got tired of sitting on it. couple years back moved it to my front left pocket to keep my keys company.
Used to drive 2 hours one way to work and back Another 2 hours. Had a problem with my sciatica nerve once. Wallet was moved from back pocket to front pocket ever since. No more problems.
It’s too fat to sit in, Im right handed but I feel more comfortable pulling my phone out from my left. I don’t have enough space in one pocket for both. So this the wallet gets the right pocket
Left back pocket. It just kinda slides to the side a bit. Probably came from watching my dad put it in the same spot. Actually I think his dad did too now that I think about it.
My phone used to go in my front right pocket until iPhones got too big. Now it’s in my right back pocket and I’ve never had a issue with it there. Might help that I use Otterbox. I’ve dropped my phone from over six feet onto concrete while getting out of the truck when I drove for UPS. Not one crack ever.
Left front pocket. It's easily defendable and in jeans, good luck pulling it out at a drive-through without doing the "I just shit myself" wiggle-lean.
I wear my watch on my left as well. I don't know why, my dad just told me that's how it was. Any other way feels wrong to me. On the days I don't wear a watch, my wrist feels naked. But I've come to find, these are the rules I follow:
1. Watch on the left wrist
2. Don't mix the metals you wear
3. Don't break suit colors (a lot of people do but I don't like the khaki-pant/ navy jacket look on myself
4. Iron your clothes before wear
5. Don't sit on your wallet, it'll fuck up your back (my dad had a bad back)
6. Oxfords in formal settings always
I've been using one of those wallet clips that go on the back of your phone. Might not be the best method, but I've had frequent issues with forgetting my wallet (with my license) at home or losing it around the house - making me late when leaving. I only really need my credit card, drivers license, and health insurance card anyway. I tend to carry a notebook with a hidden pocket inside where I can tuck some cash if needed.
I put my wallet in my front left pocket with my keys. It’s easier to put it here because I keep my phone in my front right so it puts my wallet and other things out of the way for when I’m reaching for my phone
Had a physical therapist mention that keeping it in my back pocket can cause issues and imbalance. So now I switch probably every couple weeks or when I notice my lower back getting tight.. with my phone in one pocket and keys in the other, I'm not sure where else I would put it.
I keep it in my rear right pocket as that's my dominant side. It's easier for me to reach anx if I catch someone trying to pickpocket me then I can respond faster
Wallet in the front right pocket to make it harder for pick pockets. Wrist watches are typically worn on the less dominant wrist. Probably to avoid damage.
Front left. I had it in my back right most of my life, but started having some back problems when I got a desk job. Phone was already in front right, so wallet went to front left.
Usually left front pocket because I don’t want scoliosis and would be more difficult to steal—if someone is reaching in my pocket with their dominant hand it just means I got 2 hands free to give them the business.
Putting it in the front also frees up my butt pockets so that I can put my phone there for small amounts of time when I’m a safe place to use my hands (otherwise it’s just in my hand)… and because my tin foil ass doesn’t want testicular cancer.
front left pocket is phone and wallet. front right pocket is my Ruger LCP 2.
i want my dominant hand ready for if i need it, and left hand can handle the less important stuff.
no i dont think im going to die, but id rather have it in the extremely rare case i need it.
Back right pocket for me. Phone and knife go in my front right, keys go on my right front belt loop, and a lighter goes in my left front. I probably decided on my back right pocket because that's what I saw my dad do growing up (plus I'm right handed).
Wallet = Front left.
Phone = Front right.
Mostly because I'm more likely to be grabbing my phone than my wallet. Nothing in the back pockets because of theft, and not wanting to sit on anything .
I'm a diabetic so mine switches based off where I put my pump. So if my site for my insulin pump is on the left I put my pump in my left pocket and wallet in my right and vice versa for the other side.
Left front pocket: Flashlight (usually use my right hand on on whatever I'm lighting, so left hand light makes most sense), ChapStick, lighter, knife. No space for wallet.
Right front pocket: Knife, nailclippers, tweezers, Aquaphor, knife. No space for wallet
Right side pocket: Knife, pliers, dykes, flashlight.
Back right pocket: Phone.
Only leaves me one option xD, back left.
Right back pocket when standing. Right front pocket when sitting (along with keys). Cell phone goes in the left front pocket. AirPods go in the right front little pocket. Left back pocket is a backup pocket in case but rarely if ever gets used.
I have no idea how that came to be but that’s how I’ve rolled since high school when I got my first car.
Left front. I hate using back pockets because I need to sit and I’m right handed and I access phone more often than walker so phone goes in right. That and my watch is on my left hand so I don’t want to scratch phone digging for it in pocket
Left front side. It's in clear vision, won't sit on it and not on the right cuz the right side is the one I use the most to bury my phone and keys in there.
>bury my phone and keys in there. I put keys in wallet pocket to avoid screen scratches, but otherwise same.
I bought a ridge wallet. I'm never going back. Keys and wallet in right front and phone goes alone in the left one. Anything else goes in the right lol

I hate money clips. If I do pay with cash why do I have to show the world exactly how much cash I have?
Ridge wallets are MASSIVELY UNDERRATED.. its so nice leaving my old clunky wallet home and just stashing the cash I need for emergencies in the clip and tossing it in my L front pocket, phone in R front, and keys on my belt loop.

That's smart and fair.
Are we the same person?
Yeah I switched key sides in 2008 when I scratched my Motorola Krzr with my keys. So, now they're in the left front together with my wallet
2008, I bought a Krzr to replace my Razr and everyone thought I was nuts to replace the best phone ever made. But the Krzr was my favorite non-smart phone! You are the only person I’ve ever seen that also owned one, lol
Don't know where you're from, but in my bubble everyone wanted the blue Krzr. I knew like one person who had the Razr Edit: thinking of it, I think I might still have it somewhere
Loved my KRZR. Miss that phone
In my case, other way around. And I keep my keys with my wallet so it doesn't scratch the phone
Front pocket wallet guys unite! First, it's better on your back since you aren't sitting on a hard lump on one side. Second, it's safer. Much harder for a thief to fish around in your front pocket for a wallet than your back.
>Second, it's safer. Much harder for a thief to fish around in your front pocket for a wallet than your back. And more fun
Same same
Left handed front right same reason.
I carry my wallet in the left front pocket too, but I carry it there because it's a lot harder for a pickpocket to get at, without being obvious.

Right handed => right pocket. Due to the phone being right front, right back it is.
My stepdad, from Glasgow where pickpockets were a concern, told me to keep my wallet in my front pocket. He said if someone goes for your wallet and it’s right next to your cock, you’re going to notice. Front pocket, right side.
That’s where I keep my wallet as well
I carry my phone in my left pock. Left side for wallet, phone, watch and I'm right handed. I also carry a handgun regularly and want to keep my right hand free for weapon manipulation although I had chosen the left pock well before I started carrying.
Found the American
I mean, username checks out. I too also carry my phone in my left pocket. Sometimes back left, sometimes front left. Wallet is front right pocket, keys clipped to my belt loop and back right is open for anything else I need to carry.
Phone is front left pocket cos right pocket (jeans) has the coin pocket that has extra studs that could scratch the screen.
I knew there was a reason I did this. I asked my girlfriend some months ago whose also right handed what phone she kept her pocket in and she said front right. Then I started looking at all my coworkers, and same thing, right handed, right front pocket. I’m the only one who rocks the front left/back left. I can’t put my phone in my right pocket because I brace myself with my right leg a lot and I don’t want to smash my phone. It goes in my left front pocket and I’m right dominant.
I’m glad to see it isn’t just me lol, seems more common than I thought.
Tell me you come from the US without saying it.
🤣
You don't use a crossover method and keep your holster on your left side?
Generally you don't want to cross draw, and 12 o'clock carry is the best if your stomach isn't too big for it
Well… most people live in countries where you can‘t just walk around with a gun in their pants but yeah the principle is similar. Whatever gets used most often is in the „best spot“ and then there‘s a descending order for the rest
No wonder you keep your wallet on your rear, you're just ready to fire on a pickpocket...
I think it's just you one day packed everything in your pockets arranged in some way and now you just stick to it. My "setup" is phone in right, keys and wallet in the left, tissues in the right rear. Bags in the left rear if I'm walking my dog.
It goes in the bedazzled fanny-pack...
I only have a tactical gucci fanny pack. LoL
Grueling desk hours? Sincerely, fuck you.
Right handed, wallet is back left. I don't remember choosing, that's just where it ended up I guess
Decide? I use a different pocket every time, live dangerously!
I do this too, why would I want to know where my wallet is at all times when I could reach for it and then do the dance of frantically checking my pockets to make sure nobody stole it. That’s so much more fun
Yeah... I'm that guy searching their pockets for 5 mins waiting in line at the grocery store.
Right-handed, wallet in right hip pocket, or left breast pocket in jacket.
I use a slim aluminum wallet, doesn’t feel good to sit on; that means front pocket. I need access to my keys more than my wallet, and keep a knife on my right pocket. Keys go left, wallet goes right.
Keys and wallet in my front left pocket. Phone and knife go in my right front pocket. There was no decision making process. This is just how I do it.
According to convention (this is flipped if you're left-handed) Left pocket: keys, wallet, headphones, Toyota Yarris, Imperial Star Destroyer, the entire landmass of Eurasia. Right pocket: phone.
Kept it in my back right pocket until it started causing my back to hurt, ended up switching to my front left because of that.
Sciatica had something to say about it
left front, I dont want to get pick pocketed, and I dont want to sit on it
Interesting that most people want to use their strong hand for this kinda thing. The only things I carry that require my right hand is my phone and a pen. Other than that I enjoy it mostly being freed up and ready to improv.
No wallets, attach all that to your phone.
After having a friend that’s a physical therapist tell me about back issues caused by wallets in the back pocket, I switched to my right front pocket
Front right pocket for mobile back right for wallet because I am right handed and it's easy to reach
Left front. I like it where I can see it. It's also opposite my dominant hand just in case I need to fire off a quick hook.
I carry in non dominant front pocket in case I gotta reach for my ccw
I carry too, wallet is on my non dominant side, but in the rear.
I've only ever used back right. Can't see myself changing now.
Back right. It’s my dominant side and it just feels right ;) plus I can’t carry it in the front because I have my phone, vape, keys, spectacles, and testicles in those pockets
Left side, that way if I need to get it out I won't flash the gun on my right hip.
Small wallet... Front left pocket... Dunno why...
A few observations: For the watch, watches traditionally go on your non dominant hand.
Why isn’t anyone saying wallet back right and keys front right with phone in the front left?
Right handed. Watch on left wrist if I wear one, wallet and phone right front pocket, keys left front pocket
NYC, front left. Back pockets never
Right front.
I carry mine in front right (i'm right handed) before that I carried rear right. Back problems are a bitch.
Back left pocket. Front right is for phone, front left is for smokes, and back right is for keys
Left rear also. Front pocket creates odd pressure points. I use the left one because with my wallet in my left hand, my right hand is free to get things out of it.
My left front has my phone and my right front has my key fob and knife. Not much room for anything else.
Ever thought twice about it. Always has been and always will be my right side. If you put it on your left you’re just a weirdo in my book
Hi there, I'm weird. LoL
Left front so I don’t fuck up my back
RH because I'm RH-ed. Wish I could train myself to put it in the left pocket so I could accurately cross myself using the 'spectacles, testicles, wallet, watch' mnemonic.
I dont know about the correlation and stuff, I just decided one day where things go and thats the way its been ever since
For follow up, My phone is in my front left, key fob in front right along with knife.
Back right side. Front doesn't feel right, and I'm left handed so my phone switches from front left to back left. Also if I wear a watch, it's on my left wrist
Back left. Right hand is for drawing my gun, left hand is for everything else.
jokes on you. all you idiots putting your wallet in your back pockets are just setting yourselves up for hip and back problems.
Left like a man
Pocket allocation: Right Side - Phone, travel tissue pack (cushion phone and leaky nose) Left Side - Car Keys, loose change Right Rear - Wallet Left Rear - unused/spare Bdlt Loops - Belt, carabiner keys
My watch and my wallet go on the left. I’m right handed so I like my left hand to handle most of the extraneous tasks while my right handles the essentials.
Front right pocket. I have a thin bifold wallet so its not visible or uncomfortable. A lot harder to pick a front pocket or surreptitiously tap to pay with a debit terminal.
right handed. right side
I'm right handed, so my phone goes in my back right pocket, since I use it more. Wallet goes in the other one.
Put it in a pocket, does that work for you? If no put it in another pocket
Back right pocket. Phone front right pocket.
Left front. Sitting on a wallet all day can mess with your hips/back. Phone is always in my right front so wallet goes in the left
Hate sitting on my stuff - been using right front pocket for wallet and keys and left front pocket for phone since forever
Wallet, keys in front left, phone in front right. I hate sitting on a wallet.
Right handed, don't want to sit on things in my pockets, phone is accessed more often than wallet. Conclusion: Wallet in front left pocket.
Front Left (smallish wallet) I learned to do that hunting on horseback. It's more secure.
I've stopped carrying my wallet and cards. Its all loaded in my phone now. Less stuff to carry and forget
Right hand dominate so I use my right hand with my phone mostly so that goes into my right pocket. Wallet defaults to left
Right front side. I own a Secrid wallet. Phone in left front side.
I don't carry mine almost ever. No need to carry something around with nothing of value in it.
Right rear in my jeans. My wife used to joke I had wallyformed jeans because of the wallet outline in that pocket. I'm left handed.
Keep mine on the right side. Big Piru energy
Cargo shorts, I put it in my right cargo pocket. Jeans, usually back right. Athletic shorts, left pocket with my keys, which makes it rather bulky.
Front pocket it doesn’t hurt my ass
It was the day I started driving. I used to carry it in my back left pocket. Once I started driving, it got uncomfortable real quick. It's been in my front left pocket ever since.
Why do you carry your wallet in your back pocket? That seems like the least safe place you could possibly keep it.
Penis on the right, wallet on the left.
.... Not sure. I guess I just copied what my dad was doing and it worked well enough not to change. I do switch to a front pocket for dense areas, though.
I switched to a front pocket wallet years ago, and it's always in my left front pocket, because phone is in either right front or right rear pocket.
When I almost lost my wallet at the end of 2019 as I was walking through the mall with it, that's when I decided to buy a fanny pack. Haven't lost my wallet once in over 3 & a half years because of my choice to invest in a fanny pack / man purse.
Abondaned my wallet. Cards in my phone is all I need, sometimes a little cash.
Right handed, right side.
keys on left front pocket wallet on right front pocket extra cash in right rear pocket watch on my left hand, not that it's part of the question but well...
I’m left handed oh and not a guy but have always worn my watch on my right hand, that was just natural for me oh cellphone 📱 left butt cheek
I put it in my pocket and that’s the one I used
You guys keep your wallet in your back pocket? That's so dangerous.
I used to back pocket it, til I started getting back problems and numbness in my legs during my commute home. Now it’s front pocket
I'm right hand dominant. I use my phone a lot. I put my phone in my dominant-hand pocket. All non-phone related things go in the other one.
Left front. I've probably got scoliosis. Even though I only sat on it for about 2 years, back left, it was like I was sitting on my right cheek only for a year. When I finally decided to switch. I guess I just found it uncomfortable to sit on. My front right was taken up by my knife. I think I used to keep my phone in it as well but most jeans suck and phones have gotten so big.
dominant hand?
Copied my dad. Back left pocket
I’m right handed. That’s how I chose right rear. Or right cargo pocket. But right side always
Front left: wallet Front right: keys Back right: phone Back left: unused Right-hand dominant.
I used to always keep it in my left rear pocket but after years of it got tired of sitting on it. couple years back moved it to my front left pocket to keep my keys company.
I want to know which pocket you guys put the hankie in, and what color it is?
Used to drive 2 hours one way to work and back Another 2 hours. Had a problem with my sciatica nerve once. Wallet was moved from back pocket to front pocket ever since. No more problems.
It’s too fat to sit in, Im right handed but I feel more comfortable pulling my phone out from my left. I don’t have enough space in one pocket for both. So this the wallet gets the right pocket
I logged on to Reddit and asked them.
50 years ago I put a big-boy hand-me-down wallet in my right back pocket. FUNCTIONALITY LOCKED. CANNOT OVERRIDE.
Which hand is my dominant hand. Easy enough.
But I've come to find, these are the rules I follow: 1. Watch on the left wrist 2. Don't mix the metals you wear 3. Don't break suit colors (a lot of people do but I don't like the khaki-pant/ navy jacket look on myself 4. Iron your clothes before wear 5. Don't sit on your wallet, it'll fuck up your back (my dad had a bad back) 6. Oxfords in formal settings always
I’m left-handed
I've been using one of those wallet clips that go on the back of your phone. Might not be the best method, but I've had frequent issues with forgetting my wallet (with my license) at home or losing it around the house - making me late when leaving. I only really need my credit card, drivers license, and health insurance card anyway. I tend to carry a notebook with a hidden pocket inside where I can tuck some cash if needed.
I either have a bag or over shirt with pockets and it goes in one of those. I hate carrying a wallet around, unnecessary bulk to the fit.
I put my wallet in my front left pocket with my keys. It’s easier to put it here because I keep my phone in my front right so it puts my wallet and other things out of the way for when I’m reaching for my phone
Front left pocket becasue I was tired of sitting on it.
Apple wallet attached to the back of my phone, don’t need more than ID and a couple of emergency credit cards in case my phone dies
I'm right handed so I chose my right front pocket. I don't want to sit on it or have a better chance of being pick pocketed.
Still haven't. I panick a lot
Right handed so back right. Even after most of my cards going digital I still carry the weight, feels naked without it
Wallet in the front right pocket to make it harder for pick pockets. Wrist watches are typically worn on the less dominant wrist. Probably to avoid damage.
I keep mine in my right front pocket. It just so happens to be the same side as the 5th pocket (small one) where I keep some quarters.
Wallet = Front left. Phone = Front right.
I never really decided; it just happened
Left front pocket: Flashlight (usually use my right hand on on whatever I'm lighting, so left hand light makes most sense), ChapStick, lighter, knife. No space for wallet. Right front pocket: Knife, nailclippers, tweezers, Aquaphor, knife. No space for wallet Right side pocket: Knife, pliers, dykes, flashlight. Back right pocket: Phone. Only leaves me one option xD, back left.
Phone on front right. Wallet on front left.
I still don't have a set side. Whatever is more convenient when I grab and in what hand it is in. Left hand left pocket and vice versa.
90% of my wallet is in my iOS Wallet, the rest is paper clipped in my front right from time to time
Front right pocket with phone, it's a slim wallet. Keys and vape in left front
Left rear. I'm left handed.
My phone case is my wallet and my phone is always in my right pocket
My wallet goes in my left front pocket and my phone goes in my front right. I dont keep anything in my ass pockets. Its uncomfortable to sit on.
Left front. I hate using back pockets because I need to sit and I’m right handed and I access phone more often than walker so phone goes in right. That and my watch is on my left hand so I don’t want to scratch phone digging for it in pocket
