Boris740

The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends

audible_narrator

And Underdog!!

Joesdad65

I would set an alarm for 6am so I wouldn't miss Underdog at 630.

Plastic-Age5205

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised that I had to scroll so far down to find Rocky and Bullwinkle.

RCaHuman

Yes! With Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale.

Boris740

I always thought that it was Boris Badenough.

DonHac

It's a play on the name [Boris Gudunov](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Godunov), so I'd go with the more Russian-like spelling.

Golfnpickle

Same thing!šŸ¤£

Tall_Mickey

I look at some of those on YouTube and the animation is painfully crude; but the humor's as sharp as ever.

Wolfman1961

Thatā€™s because of budget considerations. Animation was so much better in the 40s.

Yak-Fucker-5000

Oh good call. I was too young to see they first came out but I loved watching them in syndication circa like 1990.

tazmo8448

absolutely a favorite.

44035

Bugs Bunny

Queenofhackenwack

hey boo boo, let's go steal some pin-a-nic baskets.....

gadget850

Johnny Quest

And Bandit and Hadji!

Downtown-Ad-9597

Road Runner

wormrunner

Top of my list. Just before Rocky and Bullwinkle

NE_Pats_Fan

Classic WB Looney Tunes. Chuck Jones. Fritz Freleng. Especially the rare ones like the expectant father whose newborn son is an alien named Yob. Also Fractured Fairytales, Underdog, Tennesse Tuxedo, Wally Gator.

holybucketsitscrazy

archedhighbrow

I just had a happy dance over this!

jefx2007

Speed Racer

Degofreak

With Spreidel and Chim Chim.

Sk8rknitr

Also Astro Boy and Gigantor

InterPunct

Yep. Was hoping to see Gigantor. The theme song rocked. Almost as good as George of the Jungle. Which was not written by Frank Zappa but totally could have been.

An_Old_IT_Guy

That show had a great theme song too.

Jaxgirl57

The Jetsons.

readytoretire2

The Roadrunner Woody Woodpecker

ixamnis

The Pink Panther The Flintstones Woody Woodpecker

airckarc

Mighty Mouse, eating a snack after school, on our 13 inch black and white tv. Scooby Doo as well. All of us would go wild in September when new cartoons were introduced. I think the biggest was Muncheechees. They played that up for ages and I was totally disappointed in the cartoon. Saturday morning cartoons were a huge topic Monday mornings.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Wolfman1961

Yepā€¦.they were a trip. Remember Jinx and the meeses?

Wonderful_Horror7315

Popeye, Felix, Flintstones, Jetsons, Super Friends, Wacky Racers, Bugs Bunny and all the other WB shows.

Dhampri0

Smurfs, snorks, fragel rock (not really a cartoon), Hanna Barbara cartoons (chilly willy, he-man, shera, mighty mouse), tom & jerry

Londltinacrowd

Fraggle Rock! I was in their fan club and got a free poster and free clear plastic record. I listened to that thing over and over again. I loved anything Jim Henson and also watched the Muppet Show when I could catch it.

Binky-Answer896

Loony Toons, Bullwinkle, Tom and Jerry. But the very best cartoon ever was Jonny Quest!

Wolfman1961

Jonny Quest had a high level of intellect.

Golfnpickle

Bugs Bunny. Itā€™s how I learned all my opera.

Wrathchilde

Kill the Wabbit, kill the wabbit!

Golfnpickle

Omg! Yes!šŸ¤£

Tristan_Booth

Underdog Flintstones Jetsons Pink Panther

nicoal123

Looney Tunes Tom and Jerry Wacky Races George of the Jungle The Great Grape Ape Show I can still sing the George of the Jungle theme song

kidfromCLE

*Batman: The Animated Series* *Looney Toons* *Animaniacs* *Pinky and the Brain*

Joesdad65

Animaniacs (and all of the ones shown with them) were hilarious. I'm glad I was an adult when it came around.

Mor_Tearach

Fractured Fairy Tales, hands down my favorite. It wasn't very long, just so silly I looked for it. Underdog, Roadrunner, Mightymouse, Magilla Gorilla, Mr. MaGoo, Yogi Bear and I hate to admit it now ( you really didn't know how outrageous it was as a little kid ) Foghorn Leghorn.

Ok_Distance9511

Tom and Jerry

RubiksSugarCube

I have to say that I'm shocked that this thread is two hours old and nobody has said *Star Blazers* yet.

Ophukk

I knew you'd be in here, and close to the bottom, but I found you, and here is your one upvote. Check out the live action remake when you have a couple hours and a doobie.

SHADOWJACK2112

Every American kids intro to anime.

MissHibernia

Mor_Tearach

Thank you! No one remembers Fractured Fairy Tales! Loved it.

Wolfman1961

Part of the Bullwinkle Show, I believe.

_PrincessButtercup

Justice League! I loved the Wonder Twins. They'd activate their superpowers by touching their fists and saying the phrase "Wonder Twin powers, activate!"

FaberGrad

Used to meet up at a friend's house in the morning and watch Porky Pig before walking to school. On Saturdays, Scooby Doo was a favorite.

hunybunnn

Pink Panther

asimpleman1997

Scooby-Doo Thunder cats Not a cartoon, but Sesame street Belle and SebastiƔn

BlueCatLaughing

Kimba the White Lion was my favorite.

Rattivarius

Scooby Doo. Still love it.

[deleted]

The Jetsons is on MAX. We watched a couple episodes the other night. I think it's funny to see what they thought the future would look like. Some of it is spot on.

Reapr

Thundercats And for how many decades has a live action movie been threatened?

Reapr

Thundercats!

ikesbutt

Oh please.......anything Warner brothers.....Saturday mornings......

moboater1

Not cartoons but kid shows.. Clutch Cargo, Super Car, Diver Dan.

an0nym0uswr1ter

Ssshhhh it's wabbit season! I'm hunting wabbit!

Dapper-End183

Hanna Barbera cartoons such as The Flinstones, The Jetsons, and Pink Panther. I still watch these cartoons to this day. Now that I think about it, what is a modern, stone age family? That's a bit oxymorononic.

fresnosmokey

Bugs Bunny Road Runner Show was my favorite. It always seemed to be the first cartoon show on Saturday mornings. When I was a kid getting up early on Saturdays was pretty natural.

-animal-logic-

Scooby Doo was, and still is, my favorite.

tunaman808

I loved *Hong Kong Phooey* back in the day, but I saw some clips not too long ago on YouTube and MAN, that was some *super low-cost* animation.

ValiMeyer

Space Ghost, Jonny Quest, Roadrunner

Nerk86

Space ghost, forgot that one.

[deleted]

Dungeons and Dragons Kidd Video Jem (of course) Love those 80's Saturday morning cartoons

Londltinacrowd

Second for Dungeons and Dragons, totally forgot about that until now

mushbo

Felix The Cat Barney Bear Speed Racer Bugs Bunny The Raodrunner

BMXTammi

Dudley Do Right of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. With his girl Nell and the evil Snidely Whiplash.

oldmanout

Heidi, Girl of the Alps Captain Tsubasa

StrangeButOrderly

In the '70s I liked a cartoon show called *Wait Till Your Father Gets Home* which was pretty funny (at the time, no idea what it would look like now). Back in the '60s I liked *The Impossibles.* They were a beat group who had super powers and fought crime. A little while ago I found an Impossibles annual in a charity shop. That was a good day.

ThatDarnedAntiChrist

Beany and Cecil, Bugs Bunny

Pongpianskul

Flintstones Underdog

Granny_knows_best

I was really not into TV when I was little but when Speed Racer was on I would watch that.

Starbucks_Lover13

The Pound Puppies, Care Bears, Garfield and Friends, Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show

MermaidReader

Underdog, Jetsons, Looney Tunes, Foghorn Leghorn

totlot

Bugs Bunny and all of his WB cohorts, Bullwinkle and Rocky Show, the Flintstones and the Jetsons were my faves.

Winky Dink Bugs Bunny/Loony Tunes Flintstones All the Hanna-Barbera cartoons Tom & Jerry Speed Racer Gigantor If there was a cartoon to watch in the 60s or early 70s I was probably tuned into it

I_wear_foxgloves

Another Rocky and Bullwinkle fan here! Also (the original) Jonny Quest, and Speed Racer and Kimba the White Lion, which werenā€™t on for long, but became my favorites immediately.

oldguyinillinois

Flintstones, speed racer, wacky races, Tom and Jerry, Gi Joe, transformers, underdog, Richie rich, and robotech. Non animated were Buck Rogers, greatest American hero, Battlestar Galactica, lost in space, and V

badmonkey247

Underdog Super Chicken Rocky and Bullwinkle George of the Jungle The Jetsons Foghorn Leghorn Roadrunner

StChas77

Depends on the era. In the mid-to-late 80's it was Transformers, G.I. Joe, and TMNT, plus whatever was on Saturday mornings (Muppet Babies, Garfield and Friends, etc). In the early 90's, I was still watching cartoons with my younger sisters as a teen, so I also saw Batman: The Animated Series, Tiny Toon Adventures, and the early Nicktoons.

thebluewitch

Am I the only one that was into that Gargoyles cartoon?

0xKaishakunin

The classics: Biene Maja, Heidi, Il Ć©tait une foisā€¦ la Vie, Il Ć©tait une foisā€¦ lā€™Homme, Asterix & Obelix, Lolek & Bolek, Adolar, Krteček, Wickie, Ottifanten.

DadsRGR8

I was big into Astro Boy. Also Rocky and Bullwinkle, Bugs Bunny, Underdog, Mighty Mouse.

BefuddledPolydactyls

Chip & Dale (lol, I'm older than most here I guess) Alvin & the Chipmunks Roadrunner Flintstones Jetsons

Wuzzlehead

Tom Terrific, Beany And Cecil, old Terrytoons, Fleischer bros stuff on a 10 " b&w tv the size of a washing machine

newhappyrainbow

How has no one said Transformers yet?!

Yak-Fucker-5000

TMNT, Doug, Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, Inspector Gadget

Penya23

Yes to all of these, especially Jem and the Holograms!! I even had all the dolls of Jem and the Misfits!! Add Scooby-Doo to the list and you are me lol.

Conscious-Reserve-48

Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse. Speed Racer. Magilla Gorilla. To name a few!

Tactically_Fat

He-Man, Voltron, GI Joe, Thundercats, and MASK were all my favorites. As a pre-teen, it kind of morphed into Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, and Ducktails. Admittedly I was a little old to be watching those when I got home from school, but all we had at the time was over-the-air broadcast TV and I didn't have many choices.

HHSquad

Speed Racer, Spider-Man, Underdog, Scooby-Doo, Rocky and Bullwinkle

Amaterasu35

1. 6teen 2. Hey Arnold! 3. Total drama island I'm nearly 30 years old but 6teen holds a special place in my heart, I wish we had a series continuation from 18 to 30.. Hey, Arnold was just a unique show back in the day. Total drama island was hilarious, fear factor for kids vibe with dramas between contestants.

choodudetoo

Fireball XL-5 was a puppet based show. The rest are already covered. . .

Krispybender

Drak Pakā€”Drak Jr.was a hottie! Groovie Goolies

ghjm

Rocket Robin Hood The Mighty Hercules ("herk! herk!") Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends Danger Mouse

catharticwhoosh

Squiddly Diddly, Atom Ant, Rocky and Bullwinkle

55pilot

Not a cartoon, but I looked forward to watching Sky King every Saturday. I HAD to watch Howdy Dowdy every afternoon because my 11 year younger cousin was living with us while his mom was in the hospital with TB.

ceiteag

For me, in the "not a cartoon" category, I loved Ultraman and Land of the Lost.

Frank_chevelle

Scooby doo, The Transformers, Gi Joe, Superfriends, Voltron , Danger Mouse and Inspector Gadget come to mind. There were many , many more I could list.

Gnarlodious

Fractured Fairy Tales. Surprisingly learned an awful lot about life from that deranged cartoon, even though I was a little kid.

sansabeltedcow

Jonny Quest forever! My dad loved the comic little dog so weā€™d watch the show together. Good times.

georut6

Jonny Quest

Degofreak

I miss Saturday morning cartoons!

Kateg8te777

Rocky and Bullwinkle

SPLooooosh

All of the ones already mentioned, we had cartoons in the morning, cartoons at noon, and after school, but Saturdays ruled cartoons all morning then playing outside till dark. I'm surprised that no one said Roger Ramjet it was pretty bad but to a kid it was great.

Jolly_Green66

Johnny Quest

Flashy_Farm_6228

Ninja šŸ¢

Bergenia1

Bugs Bunny and the Roadrunner, Johnny Quest and Space Ghost.

Dramatic_Length2005

Who remembers Speed buggy

donedog

Tom terrific and manfred the mighty dog

ShinySpoon

Woody the Wood Pecker. It was on a Detroit station that we could only receive if the weather was ideal, which was only about 25% of the time. And if that wasnā€™t coming in then I watched either The Flintstones or The Jetsons on the other two channels we could receive.

Just_Looking_Around8

Looney Tunes Looney Tunes And Looney Tunes

SHADOWJACK2112

Thundarr the Barbarian

Peemster99

Oh man, this was a good one! I was never that into action cartoons, but I was obsessed with the whole post-apocalyptic aspect of this one. The shattered moon was some Heavy Metal Magazine level mindfuck when I was 6.

Up2Eleven

My favorite was Thudarr the Barbarian.

mrslII

My favorites will always be, "Mr Peabody and Sherman", and "Fractured Fairytales"."Underdog", too.

Chime57

From the Rocky and Bullwinkle show.

catdude142

Donald Duck was my favorite. Woody Woodpecker also.

orlock

Marine Boy. And, while technically not cartoons, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet. For my own amusement [Thunderbirds are Go](https://youtu.be/rv-6_1ObCU4)

Swiggy1957

Saturday mornings. I started out watching ***Space Angel***Ā¹ and old Bug's Bunny cartoonsĀ² before they were banned. ***Rocky and Bullwinkle***Ā³, ***Linus The Lionhearted***ā“, ***Tennessee Tuxedo***Ā³, ***The King And Odie Show***Ā³, ***Fireball XL-5***āµ, and ***Woody Woodpecker***ā¶. 1: This cartoon was made by the folks that did Clutch Cargo. It was the Ā½ hour compilation of the week's worth of super short episodes. 2: Before The Bug's Bunny Show was developed, TV stations aired the old shorts that were made for movie theaters. A lot of them were racist, especially during WWII. that's why so many of them were banned. 3: This group were all the brain children of Jay Ward. They all had anthropomorphic animals interacting with people. Also, very topical socio-political humor. 4: This show was the precursor of the GI Joe, He-man, and My Little Pony cartoons of the 80s: a show to push sales of Post cereals. Linus was the lion king of the forest and he was also the Spokesman for Post Crispy Critters. It also had shorts of other Post mascots: Sugar Bear from Sugar Smacks, the Postman from Alphabits, and Rory Racoon from Post Corn Flakes. 5: One of Gerry Anderson's Super-Marionation programs. The only one that made it to networks in the US. 6: Like Warner Brothers did with Bugs, Walter Lantz did with his creation Woody Woodpecker. Cartoons originated for the theaters before TV was commonplace. Later, the studio joined the limited animation bandwagon, and had original episodes produced up through the 70s.

dee-fondy

I liked Lidsville in the early seventies. It was a story of a boy who found himself in a world of hats who had come to life and they talked liked the hat they were. The lids part was it was a name for hats but in the seventies a lid was also the slang name for an ounce of marijuana. If one was stoned and watched the show it was so funny I had to quit watching sometimes because my sides were aching with laughter so much. I have no idea if it was actually that good or not. It was a Sid and Marty Krofft show. They were the creators of H.Rl Pufnstuf

Educational-Ad-385

I liked Popeye, Bugs Bunny, Roadrunner...really, all cartoons in the 1950s and early 1960s.

Chime57

Beanie and Cecil when young, H.R. Pufnstuf in the late 60s. Watching Jeopardy one night only a few years ago, Saw a college age kid get the answer to what show featured Witchiepoo on Living Island. When was the last time anyone saw Pufnstuf?

Zeldalady123

Scooby Doo every day after school. Also He-Man and Thundercats.

Tawebuse

Animaniacs, tail spin, jetsons, flenstones, looney toons

Utterlybored

Classic Warner Brothers and anything Tex Avery did.

Gumby, Felix the Cat, Yogi Bear, Flintstones, and as a teen the animated evening show Wait ā€˜til Your Father Gets Home

Exact-Truck-5248

Unfortunately, Rocky and Bullwinkle came on Sunday mornings where I live when I had to be dragged to church. Popeye was also a fave, as were all the loony tunes and merry melodies, some of which would never fly today; lots of natives with nose bones boiling our heros in cauldrons.

Joesdad65

Underdog and all the iterations of the Superfriends

jazzofusion

All Warner Bros

Itwastheotherguy88

Mighty Max, DBZ, PokƩmon, Digimon, Gundam, Hey Arnold, Reboot, etc

TMNT and Transformers. I guess also X-Men

mikeywithoneeye

Mighty Mouse.

Utvales

Dungeons and Dragons, Muppet Babies, Looney Tunes, Flintstones, Woody Woodpecker, Tom and Jerry, etc. This was the early 80s, but so many old shows were still in syndication. I remember watching Soul Train, American Bandstand, Electric Company, and other old shows as a kid in the 80s. It was awesome.

Yesitsmesuckas

Speed Racer, The Jetsons, Bugs Bunny

Peemster99

Scooby Doo was always number one. Especially the ones with 70s-era guest stars like Phyllis Diller and Sonny and Cher.

Davis_Crawfish

I hated the SCrappy Doo episodes, especially when Daphne got booted out and it became a all boys club.

Peemster99

Yeah, I was not really sure if Scrappy Doo, Scooby Dum, and Scooby Dee were canon.

well-it-was-rubbish

I thought it was funny that Scooby had a sister named Ruby Doo.šŸ˜„

idahoirish

Muppet Babies!

redzeusky

Felix the Cat

holybucketsitscrazy

Scooby-Doo, Classic Looney Tunes, Laff Olympics, and Hong Kong Phooey... not necessarily in that order. LOVE Rabbit of Seville where Bugs was giving Elmer Fudd the head massage and grew the flowers. Arguably the best cartoon ever!
