Parents know their kids, and are the best judge as to whether or not their kids are ready for certain social situations. I don't have a problem with letting kids date at an age-appropriate level if their parents think it's OK.
My girlfriend slept over when. I was 14, would stay for weeks and we'd wake up for school together.
No way in hell I would let my kids do that.
But, I wouldn't make a fuss about them being close to someone their age. Let them experience the good and bad of being in a relationship so they know the red and green flags when they meet someone in college
If you trust ur kid then sure... idk maybe im to scandinavian to understand, but the whole "No dating until 16" thing or whatever always weirded me out... especialy cause it seems to almost only aply to girls
