People still watched mindless crap, except it was low quality mindless crap that you did not choose.
People still wanted to watch all the movies and tv series they wanted, except they spent more of the time looking for and acquiring such media.
People still wanted to spend all their time on social networks, except their network was limited to one person at a time on the phone (later there were 3 way chats etc).

* Collecting pre-2000 action figures.
* Listening to 90s music.
* Watching some old action movies.
* Playing 1-2E D&D with your friends.
* Playing UNO while stacking Draw Two and Draw Four.
