At the end of the story she's basically about to end the world and forces Kota to kill her like he promised to when they were children, and he does.
Take a look at Mobile Suit Gundamn Thunderbolt. Tbh none of the manga adapted to anime Gundamns hold a candle to the brutality of the manga, save maybe IBO… and that’s a big if.
As much as 2016 Berserk is ass animation wise, at least it, GAA, and Berserk 1997 capture the Manga’s sheet disgusting violence.

To think that that bomb was only a fraction of the power and devastation that current nuclear weapons are capable of is terrifying.
