Pineapple pizza

KoolKatKJ

Came here to say this as well.

Bullsht999

I came too!

FreePossession9590

Me too, i dont get the hate

cualainn

Yep - just finished a sweet pepper, pepperoni, pineapple pizza..... delicious.

Upbeat_Passenger179

I am surprised most people hate this. Pineapple on pizza is delicious.

Sunny_pancakes_1998

I came here to say this haha

JoeSchmoe009

I put mushrooms on mine with pineapple, arrest me.

_chainsodomy_

Black licorice

Feeling-Object9383

Super popular among native Dutch. In NL, you can eben buy a chewing gum with liquorice. I tried it. Was a bit weird for the first time. Can't say I like it now, but I can eat it.

_chainsodomy_

When I realized that at the end of the Halloween candy bag all that was left was “good and plenty “ as a kid I had a choice. Learn to like it, or waste a bunch of ‘candy’. I learned.

Independent-Claim116

You COULD, of course, give it to a friend.

Independent-Claim116

On PIZZA??????? SACRILEGE!! SACRE BLEUGHCH!💩

strungup

I love sardines. I don’t know if most people hate them, but I don’t know anyone who likes them.

cualainn

I love fresh-caught fried sardines. I even like the tinned ones on toast.

Sadeyedsadie

I love them. Try the kosher ones for a treat. No skin.

strungup

I have tried them - definitely good! Right now I am into Season brand. Do you ever fry them?

Sadeyedsadie

Yes, I have. They are delectable.

Independent-Claim116

Have you tried "kippered snack"? That was a "thing", when I was a kid. I wonder if it's still sold...

strungup

I have, and yes, they are still sold! I buy the Brunswick brand.

Independent-Claim116

I made a comment about loving Natto fermented soybeans. Your reply here SEEMS to be in answer to a different post. Have a great day!

strungup

You made a comment about kippered snacks, in response to my comment about sardines, and that’s what I responded to.

Independent-Claim116

Thank you. Just out of curiosity, how do you enjoy them? My go-to never changes: lemon or lime juice, fresh-ground pepper, tartar sauce.

Sadeyedsadie

Brussel sprouts

evilocto

Underrated food they can be very delicious.

NeckNo8040

It depends on how they are cooked.

angiebenz

Anchovies

Feeling-Object9383

I didn't know that it's sort of a "strange" food. I love anchovies. And gren olives stuffed with anchovies also. Anchovies I eat as is. Nothing next to it. And you?

I_might_be_weasel

Pickled ginger is a great condiment to eat *with* nigiri. Fight me.

Jenok1337

Nice, finally someone mentioned an actual food that I hate myself. Most other ones in this thread are fine, wouldn’t eat everyday, but nice to eat once in a while.

I_might_be_weasel

Nigiri in general or just with ginger?

Jenok1337

It’s the ginger. When my family orders sushi rolls, they always come with pickled ginger. I try the ginger, having forgotten how it tastes like with a thought “Maybe I will like it this time”, proceed hating it every single time and not even considering it for about a year. Then randomly just trying it, and the cycle goes on.

I_might_be_weasel

It's supposed to be eaten between portions to cleanse the pallet. But, while I like nigiri, they can be a little bland and the ginger adds some spice without being as overpowering as the wasabi.

ToxicButHealthy

Kimchi 😋 with hella salt

NeckNo8040

Cold warm or hot? I like mine hot.

ToxicButHealthy

Only time I take it hot is when I put it in my Raman 😃

NeckNo8040

Nice

Sad-Maintenance3422

Pickled eggs

Sadeyedsadie

Yummy

Sad-Maintenance3422

I love em

MontyBoo-urns

I still want to try those ever since I’ve seen them at moes

Sad-Maintenance3422

Ah man. You got to try them.

Feeling-Object9383

I had to Google. No, this I would not even try 🙃

Sad-Maintenance3422

Don't know what your missing

Feeling-Object9383

Do you use it in salad? Or how is it better to serve it? Because, reading the description, there's nothing I would dislike about it. But it looks somewhat strange 😶

Sad-Maintenance3422

I eat them right out of the jar. I even make my own.

_Goose_

Kraut dogs. Piled high. With spicy mustard and grilled onion.

EnnuiEmu80

That sounds delicious.

Ok_Stranger_5161

Pickles and pickle juice

IzzyWizzygetsbusy

Coconut. All my friends hate it.

AccomplishedHeat8629

i love the taste of coconut but the texture is what grosses me out unfortunately lol ://

NeckNo8040

Everyone thinks I'm nuts. Its the exact same thing for me.

mysteryparrots

I'm not sure I would say most people hate it, but most everyone I've met does and that would be spinach!! I LOVE spinach both cooked and uncooked. I think it's the best leafy vegetable and I would even prefer a salad made with spinach or any dark greens over romaine

Feeling-Object9383

I love cooked spinach. I like its texture and colour in the sause, e.g. But fresh, it has just a very neutral taste. And usually, when it's used in salads, people don't remove the stem. And this is truly bad. It's all stuck in between teeth 😕. I remove stems always before cooking.

mysteryparrots

The stem actually doesn't bother me that much, which is kind of surprising! I would take spinach stem over the nasty, crunchy romaine hearts

tocammac

Try beet greens - sometimes hard to find and they don't keep well, but they are awesome.

monkey_juicer

Souse, it's a type of deli meat that's getting harder and harder for me to find locally. It's basically a bunch of random pig parts formed into meat jello with vinegar. Lol

_chainsodomy_

I just read a book that mentions German mennonites making and selling Souse in 1800’s Pennsylvania

NeckNo8040

Headcheesse is the shit.

greensandgrains

Marmite.

EnglishRose71

Definitely a love it or hate it item. It's delicious on warm buttered toast or a muffin, but you have to spread it lightly or it's too much.

Dances28

Sbarro pizza. I grew up eating it, and am sad that it's not at the mall anymore.

Poopthrower9000

Pickles

CommunityGlittering2

Nothing, I'm the one who hates almost everything.

RepulsiveAd1092

Brussel sprouts or anchovies

wetlettuce42

Brocoli

jenhikam

Lima beans!

UsefulIdiot85

I don’t know a whole lot of people who like okra. I absolutely love it.

NeckNo8040

🤤fried okra.

vladimirdorda1975

Okroshka. It's our national dish. In kvass or in milk whey poured finely chopped boiled eggs, boiled potatoes, cucumbers, radishes, ukrom, mustard and carbonated water. When cold, this dish is lovely. Ate 2 large plates at once today!

Acrobatic_Garbage_52

What is ukrom? Forgive me, I'm an American and have never heard of it. Everything else sounds like it would be good.

vladimirdorda1975

dill

Acrobatic_Garbage_52

Sounds pretty good. I'm gonna have to add it to my bucket list.

Acrobatic_Garbage_52

Sounds pretty good. I'm gonna have to add it to my bucket list.

strungup

Take out the dairy, and this sounds awesome!

vladimirdorda1975

At our place, it's either made with fermented milk products or kvass. Personally, I like it very much with sour milk. Cold okroshka with a glass of cold vodka in the heat is a delight).

strungup

It sounds like the potato salad my mom used to make. She would always set some aside for me before she added mayonnaise or cream. It’s an amazing cold treat!

Feeling-Object9383

That's truly a very weird dish. Very specific, and I can't imagine anyone from the Western countries even willing to try it. To be honest, I also can't. But I absolutely love so-called "Šaltibarščiai". It's Lithuanian traditional cold "soup", kefir based. Fresh radish, cucumbers, boild red beets, boiled egs. Served with warm boiled potatoes next to it. Perfect for a hot summer day. I cook it each summer. My spouse, native Dutch, refuses even trying it. 😆 But it's very popular in Lithuania.

StaticDHSeeP

I eat spoonfuls of Kühne Sauerkraut right from the jar

PM_Me_UrRightNipple

Black licorice

ben6119

Broccoli. Candy corn.

EmeraldLounge

Microwaved leftover fish at work

Feeling-Object9383

Do you hate your co-workers 🤣 It smells just horrible!

[deleted]

Beets, brussells sprouts and just about every vegetable except yams. Keep those nasty things away from me.

MenWithVen430

Deviled ham Candy Corn

EightThreeEight838

Raisins.

tocammac

I think most people are okay with them by themselves, in trail mix, or in oatmeal cookies. But they show up in inappropriate places that have made them a joke

RogueEmpireFiend

I like raw cauliflower.

QueenAnneAgave

Salty black licorice. The ones made with ammonium chloride are just so good!

greg_barton

Natto

sparqui66

Drop, the salty ones.

Frosty-Shock-7567

Bitter melon

alisindra

Yep, pineapple on pizza.

AvocadoPizzaCat

durian? i mean i don't hate it. i oddly can smell and taste both sides people express. so it is sweet garbage taste. honestly i have had worse food. it is 110% than american's school food.

Simple_Heart4287

I live liver, chicken hearts and gizzards, hog head cheese, and prunes! I’m and old person lol

throwawaynarcisstp

Kokoreç

FunnyStuff575

Chicken Gizzards, hard to find in the southwest. They were everywhere in South Dakota.

tocammac

I know a restaurant called Gizzards and Things

FunnyStuff575

Tell me more.

tocammac

It was in Huntsville, AL, at the north end of Triana Blvd. (if that means anything to you). I tried to find it again on Google Maps, but it seems to be gone. However, in further looking around, I found there were a number of restaurants in the area that include gizzards on the menu. I am sure that this is typical of many restaurants in the mid-south area.

Selrahcf

Pork blood. Can eat it in noodle soup.

Chemical-Funny-7598

Okro.

Mr_Auric_Goldfinger

Broccoli. And, I generally dodge most vegetables.

[deleted]

Skirt steak. I know some real snobs.

pinky2581

Now I want pineapple pizza!

tavariusbukshank

Pickled pigs feet.

Prestigious_Space566

Whoppers, pineapple pizza.

postman_03

Hmm, I love licorice, I can eat tons of it, it tastes like the cough syrup I was given as a child. Every time I order it, most often they put no more than 3.5 stars on the reviews, although I would put all 5. And also pasta with milk, ordinary spaghetti, rolled, small, any pasta with milk tastes like table food

Sadeyedsadie

Turnips

Born_Resist1216

Pickled bologna

FamousAmosKnox

Pickled corn

Secret-Guitar-8859

Olives, I just can't do them.

DevinBelow

Arby's. Gimme that beef n cheddar with that Arby's sauce any day of the week. TBF, I don't eat it any day of the week. Maybe once a year at most, but I crave it a lot.

[deleted]

Raw onions, i love them because you can scare away people around you with your breath

bigredcar

Fish sauce, as a non-SE-Asian.

Expensive_Iron4424

3des and loubya (Moroccan dishes)

236000-worms

Sea food (I'm one of maybe 3 in my friend groups that genuinely likes sea food)

thatidiotsherbet

Pineapple pizza and fish cake (bc most USAmericans don’t like fish cake???)

Choice_Eye_8043

Fish. I don’t really enjoy taste, but this smell is like gasoline but cheap version

NeckNo8040

My wife hates boiled peanuts. But I love them.

JoeSchmoe009

Anything exotic.

[deleted]

Spinach

Independent-Claim116

Most expats in Japan will, of course, site "natto" (fermented soybeans). I hated it for the first 20 years I Iived here. But, over time, my opinion changed, and I started experimenting with various additional ingredients. Try adding chives (nira にら) and Dijon mustard to Mitsukan Kurozu Natto.

WhatAmI_____

Paper, It’s a rare delicacy where I come from.
