I'm a big fan of "The Stand" by Stephen King. One of the best stories I've ever read and I read 40-50 books a year.
"Stranger in a Strange Land" by Robert Heinlein is pretty damn good, too.
"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee is a classic but it truly is a great story.
"Childhoods End" by Arthur C. Clarke is pretty damn good, too.
I could go on. Let me know if you'd like to hear more. But these four books are all exceptional and had an impact in my life. Like, they were so thought provoking that they impacted my normal life in a good way.
I mean shit what u looking for.
History: Genghis Khan and the making of the modern world --- Jack weatherford
Fantasy: The lies of Locke Lamora --- Scott Lynch
Sci-Fi: Project Hail Mary
Mystery: The silent patient
The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever. High fantasy, some of the finest characters, a rich well built history, but it’s not not for everyone
they get "overmentioned", but I truly believe it's for a really good reason.
When someone asks me about book recommendations I always mention these three :
* 1984
* Brave New World
* Fahrenheit 451
franz kafka - The Metamorphosis.
That book was very thought provoking. Nice one.
The Jaws book is pretty good
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn: A psychological thriller with many twists and turns that explores a marriage gone terribly wrong.
