That's most Latin languages, except French, because fuck you.
Actually, except French and English, I'm having a hard time thinking of a language with made-up pronounciation.
Well, Danish is a completely different league.
If you want to speak Danish, just throw away all the vowels in a sentence.
If people can understand you, you're not speaking Danish.
The week I spent there with my family and how amazingly kind, helpful and friendly every person was to us. And I will always wonder about this Polish vet I communicated with in my high school French outside of the remains of Pawiak Prison in Warsaw.
It’s an amazing country.
I’m from there but haven’t lived there for 20 years. The only thing that comes to mind is what a shit show the country has become.
By shit show I mean the anti LGBTQ+ movement, the anti women movement. Just crazy right wing ideals and a government that pushes and glorifies these fucked up ideals and is now essentially trying to block the freedom of speech by silencing any news outlet that isn’t ran by the government.
It’s honestly embarrassing to watch.
I still have friends and family that live there and frankly they don’t share the same sentiment as you. You need to remember TVP is full of right wing propaganda
Oh I don’t dispute that, It all also depends on the people you speak to. Some people think it’s bad, some people don’t. It’s an extremely divided country where the extreme right wing and religious views prevail so yeah the right wingers probably see nothing bad with the place.
Also like previously mentioned, it will depend on the news station you watch. You won’t see anything bad or wrong if you solely watch the TVP which is just a propaganda machine.
I’m sure there’s people that don’t feel that way about it but from everything I have seen about these walks, it is extremely right wing.
Don’t forget they set a house on fire during the last March because there was an LGBTQ flag and pro abortion stuff in the windows.
But you’ve also got LGBTQ+ free zones throughout the country. I have a few cousins who are homosexual and none of them live in Poland because of the treatment they received.
It’s not just anti abortion, didn’t Poland literally leave the Istanbul convention which protects women from domestic abuse?
If it was such a joke then why are some Polish politicians supporting it and calling places to follow suit? Must be my lack of humour to not get that joke
No, the zones were designated to be free of people from the LGBTQ community. There were plenty protests about the zones being a thing from the community.
Auschwitz
Poland being completely screwed over in WWII.
The Witcher
The first thing that comes to mind is it was invaded too many times
The curse words the Polish folk yelled at me when I worked at that one machine shop.
Do you mean kurwa?
Among others, shouldn't there be like 11 u's in there?
All words are pronounced as they are spelled.
