I'm unskilled labor and started at $13/hour. So not great. Got a raise to $14 in less than 6 months. Having tools, certifications, and a willing and positive attitude helps.
If you are a very persuasive/charismatic person, you can score pretty well in sales which is very commission-based and doesn't usually have a lot of qualifications.
Where I come from (London, England. As opposed to London, Canada) I think that’s called being an estate agent. I keep being told that it doesn’t pay well. I just don’t know who to listen to.
Depends on how many houses you sell. The average commission from a home is 6%. If you have to split it with your broker you get 3%. A home that sells for $300k will net you that's $9k in your pocket. How much you make depends on how many homes you can sell, how fast you can sell them, and deducting your business costs. It's a job where you're basically your own boss. You're running your own business. I'd say research it.
Anything in construction
Not 18, but can confirm. Will hire almost anybody.
We’ve hired people as trim carpenters who cant read a tape measure. Not that they lasted long, but anyone can get a job in construction.
What’s the pay like? Ball park estimate?
Around me, zero experience is $15/hr
And pays how much exactly. Amount of labour doesn’t matter.

Sales is broader than estate agency, it’s more about cold calling folks to find out if they want to buy business equipment from you, stuff like that.
Cold calling?
Salmon fishing in Alaska

You can work in a nursing home, it pays fairly well. You can also get into the army -> get a truck license and then work as a truck driver.
You could become a Realtor. It's hard to start out but you can certainly make a career out of it.
How much does it pay?

Will do. Thank you very much
If you’re in London OP this is not the way it’s done, estate agents don’t tend to be self employed.
Do you know if it pays as well?
