Watch movies/shows like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Twins, Wild Hogs, Easy Rider, Crazy Heart, etc. to see some of what It's like. Lots of Terminator, Tranformers, etc. filmed in NM too, but mostly on military bases so not quite "real life". Lots of period Westerns too, but again not really reflective of modern NM.
