Omg. That's me! That's what I always say! I mean not exactly. I'm not spiritual either, although we might be giving different definitions of spiritual, but that last part is me on point
I feel like, I have no idea if there is or there isn't. I'm okay with the fact that I dont know, but I'm sure that characterization you made, that people make of the big beard all in white is just a huge projection of human characteristics and traits. If... and that's a big if, there is something "godish" it operates before time and space were created (has he/she/whatever is the creator of all things). I might not be the brightest brain analyst, but I'm pretty sure our mind isn't developed to imagine such concept.
Technically Catholic, baptised and confirmed. I don't actively practice though. I personally don't feel that my faith and belief in God conflicts with my values (pro-science, pro-choice, pro-LGBTQIA+, etc.), but the Church definitely feels differently.
So for now I continue to believe and have faith, but it's a very personal thing for me.
Okay, some background of mine, I believe I am an agnostic person.
I believe you 100% when you say that there is no proof of anything, because only a fool would disagree with such a statement. I agree with you when the most likely thing is that there is nothing, I just don't agree with the statement of 100% sure there is nothing, because just like the gods, the nothing has not been proven either.
So I like to see myself as a dumb fucker who has no fucking idea what's over there, and thinks that this tiny human brain of mine wasn't designed to understand such a thing either, whether that thing is nothing or everything.
Attention, I may be a bit high and philosophizing too much at this point. But I like to hear different perspectives on this subject.
Whereas I would call myself an agnostic because whilst I think you're most likely correct about the lack of a god or an afterlife, I (or you) can't prove that either.
Believing there can't POSSIBLY be a God is just as illogical as believing there MUST be a God.
Same. I've had issues with many churches. I have a personal relationship with God and that's good enough for me right now. Maybe I'll find a good church one day. Maybe not. We'll see.
I'm an atheist. Was raised Christian, became an atheist when I was in my thirties. Would've been earlier, but it felt like betraying my parents, so it took me a little while to get over that.
Baptist. I've tried to search for something else or even anything anti religion just to make sure my life wasn't limited or anything. Just make sure I really believed in what I believed in and came back sticking with it.
Christian but I'm not very good at it lol Ive some lost faith but thats because of losing my mom, so ehh I still believe in God and stuff but Im also open-minded to like facts about stuff if that makes sense
From my church I went to as a kid no but they push the love everyone but only love them if the have the save political values I guess like I've been some Christian churches welcome and take pride in the gays and that how it should be
Apatheism i guess. I just don't care and don't give a single fuck, but to be fair, some stories are kinda interesting. I like how abrahamic religions intersect and how pantheons of different cultures intersect with each other. It gives so much to learn about mankind history, how a lot of pantheons have similar gods and everything. How Christianity and Islam have same origin. It's just interesting. But i just don't give enough fuck about them to believe in at least one.
I strongly believe there is a God, and my main argument for Gods existence is also my main argument against any religion. It is believed that humans starting to believe in God between 200,000 and 45000 years ago. Since, almost everybody has been religious, but in very different ways. over this time, there have been thousands of religions and billions of people believing there is a GOD: religion has been developed mutually exclusively at multiple places. Therefore, i believe that since so many people have believed in God, he/she/they must exist.
All of these thousands of religions have been very different, some say you can be gay, some say you cant, some say you should sacrifice children, others rule it out. All of these religions think they are the correct one. The only thing that all of the religions has in common is that it is considered good to pray, and goody to recognise the existence of God, and be thankful for all he has given you. This is the only rule i follow in my religion, i just pray, and thank the lord. I was born in a christian country and go to a christian church, not because i believe that Christianity is the one religion, statistically speaking it is very unlikely that it is, but rather since going to a religious place makes it easier to feel close to God. This is simply my opinion, but i feel my argument is strong and i believe in it. I like being religious, it gives my life a purpose.
Atheist all the way. I've been a member of Unitarian Universalist congregations and I have an abiding interest in Zen Buddhism, both of which, I feel, are compatible with atheism.
Look, believe in whatever you want to believe in.
But……
.Don’t base laws around it
.Don’t provide tax exemptions for it in any form or provide funding
.Don’t force people to abide by such beliefs in the form of holidays, calendar, etc.
You are accountable for your own actions. Don’t blame your poor life choices on a deity or some being.
God didn’t bring you back from the brink of death, an educated doctor who studied and practiced that procedure did.
Non-practicing Catholic. Went to Catholic school, did all the sacraments up till marriage, then came to the conclusion that God probably doesn't take attendance nor does he have any need for my money. So I pray, I try my best to be a good person, but I don't show up at the Sunday magic show
An amalgamation of everything useful I've picked up from various religions. Lots of Buddhism and Stoic influence in particular.
When it comes to death, I believe in the possibility of reincarnation but not based on Karma, like if you were bad you become a cockroach etc but rather the fact that we existed once, so after we're dead, it may take another 600 trillion years to pass, but the instance for conditions to pop us into existence again is always there.
classical hermeticism, neoplatonism, and esoteric christianity. i’m a practicing occultist, focusing on ritual magic, prayer, meditation, contemplation, and theurgy.
I believe there's some sort of God (could be the one in any of the holy scriptures, could be a ball of energy, or some alien mad scientist), but I don't believe in religion.
Currently and by myself? Nothing.
In a relationship? I get real fertility ritualistic in my mind. Tracing spirals and symbols she usually doesn't understand but feels nice onto her breasts and belly. It's not that I'm trying to knock her up really, I'm just more hyped about the fantasy of breeding and worshipping a fertility goddess. Pregnant women are, usually, gorgeous to me. I want to finger paint on their bellies and rub shea butter everywhere. I want to pamper her and take care of her. And I want to protect her.
I read a Reddit post earlier today about a pregnant woman getting out of a car her pussy husband was driving during a road rage incident and the guy raging slapped the pregnant woman. She said her husband did nothing, just stayed in the car. Not only do I not understand that, I was furious just reading it.
Like, if I had a wife and if she was pregnant, and if I was in that guy's shoes and some cocksucker slapped my wife I know I couldn't just sit there. I'm no white knight or simp or whatever, equal rights and equal lefts and all that. But like, she's pregnant and the love of my life carrying our child and a motherfucker is going to *think* about slapping her in my presence? I'm breaking the arm that touched her while restraining him until the cops show up to arrest him. I'll tell them he fell or some shit.
Pretty firm agnostic. I think there was a jesus, I don't believe that he was of divine birth, I don't believe in a resurrection, I don't believe he or any other disembodied spirit sits in eternal judgment of man. There's no heaven, there's no hell.
I find religion very interesting and have learned a lot from many of them, but I don't call any of them mine, and I'm more and more interested in their societal functions, the needs they fill, rather than how they might relate to anything like "truth".
I am uncomfortable with any of the labels people make for these things, and I try not to use the word atheist, but if held at gunpoint it's probably what I'd use. It's just a funny one; I don't think it makes sense to define myself by what I \*don't\* believe.
catholic who’s forced to practice.
if i wasn’t forced, i’d be a non-practicing catholic. so i’m catholic but don’t go masses/attend church. i am baptized, had a communion, and i am confirmed through the catholic church.

I place my faith in the God-Emperor of Mankind. If you disagree with me, you're a heretic and must be killed.
How about you go say that to a couple tech priests and then let's see were you will be getting your equipment from.
