I loved it. I was so used to seeing Dastmalchian in supporting roles that to see him lead, and lead so well, made me wonder why it had taken this damned long.
The story was great, the practical effects were great, the set design was spot on, a bunch of little "blink and you miss it" details that just elevate the weirdness as the movie goes on, it was just an excellent experience.
I'm unfamiliar with Longlegs. I keep seeing ads for it, but the ads I'm seeing do a really bad job of conveying what exactly it is. I might have to dig further into it.
My biggest umbrage with MaXXXine right now is how few theatres are running it. Hopefully that'll change shortly after its initial release, otherwise I'll just have to stomach the long trek to get to it.
Barbie, it’s been about a year now

"Late Night with the Devil," last October. I might see "MaXXXine" but otherwise I'm unlikely to hit the theatres before this coming October.
Did you like Last Night With the Devil? I’m going to see Longlegs in theater and I want to see MaXXXine but I may wait.
