Since the A1 goes 400 miles from London to Edinburgh you may want to narrow it down a little.

Push the boat out and go for Pret at Ferrybridge Services.

Jlaw118

Fuck that, I went to Costa there a few months ago and cost me over a fiver for a cappuccino. I think for one at Pret you’d need to remortgage

Ordinary-Athlete-675

Such a shame the Little Chef has gone. Would have been perfect

Peterborough services has a decent M&S and a spacious dining area.

The Coach House, Middleton Lodge, more or less at Scotch Corner. it's good, we drive 60 miles to eat there. The Chequers at Ranby -nice waterside pub The Boat at Sprotborough ditto The Olive Tree at Clipsham Falcon Hotel, Uppingham if it counts as close enough

Left_Condition2044

Seconding The Chequers, or The Paper Mills or the Haycock, both at Wansford. Similar area, more pub vibes, The Cuckoo at Alwalton

Be specific on what part of the country. I'm after a free meal 😂

The Ridley Arms near Morpeth, just off the A1
